I stayed in the Story Bridge Suite which had an excellent view of the Story Bridge. I liked the old-fashioned vibe of the place and enjoyed the buffet breakfast options.

Not the venue's fault but Google Maps directed me to the side entrance and I missed the check-in driveway, which led me to think they didn't have one, so I drove around the CBD at peak-hour to park in a mall carpark and walk 15min to reach check-in, which was frustrating. I didn't realise when I was booking that there were no parking facilities owned by the hotel, just a deal to park in a nearby garage (almost $50/night). I found a cheaper overnight garage a block or two away and walked my luggage over from there. Maybe I mixed up something with the switches but the bathroom had energy-saving motion-activated lights. Good idea but when I took a bath I ended up in the dark. :P

The grand style ( especially the staircase! ) location, the room with the views & the beautiful bathroom we had. Also a lovely gesture on the afternoon of our stay was a complimentary delivery to our room of 3 little cakes wishing me a happy birthday, these little things go along way & make anyone guest feel valued and appreciated so thankyou Stamford Plaza again :)

There seems to be a lot of surcharges on everything & the prices of the breakfast were a bit extreme so that put us off especially when we’re not big eaters. I also still think the parking could be cheaper especially when there’s no lift actually into the building. Concierge are there but we only had small bags so didn’t feel or want to bother them for their assistance especially when lots were checking in at the same time. But overall this is the city so these prices are to be expected I suppose.

Ashley on the front desk was very helpful. She showed common sense and a cheerful readiness to help. The concierge was also very ready to assist. Room was comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom was down but given the wonderful service, I was more than happy to simply deal with it. I had a very good stay and will definitely be back.

The Concierge / Staff were particularly good. The room was lovely and clean - the bathroom was much larger than expected which was great as we were dressing for a function. Breakfast was good and the location is really lovely. We do love this Hotel.

Nothing within the Hotel's control but it was very disappointing that the lovely view from our room was obscured by awful construction on the river. It was disappointing that there is no lift access to the carpark - we had to walk outside and then down quite awful stairs to get to the car. In high heels, this didn't feel very safe (especially that there was a large chip out of one of the bottom stairs that is easy to fall on).

We stayed in a Deluxe Room with river view 19th floor. Had a superb view of the river, Story Bridge and Kangaroo Point. The hotel room was large and luxurious with a beautiful bathroom equipped with bath and shower. Tastefully decorated with period style furnishings. Room was quiet, clean and comfotable. Close walk into the mall, gardens and other attractions. Buffet breakfast was good value with plenty of choices including GF options. Reception, concierge and house keeping were attentive, friendly, helpful and we felt welcomed.

We found the pillows and mattress were perhaps a little to soft for our liking, but that is just a personal preference and no reflection of the quality of the room and furnishings which were of a high standard.

Staff 💯 on the mark with everything beginning with the concierge, reception and room service. Timing wth requests and orders was was excellent. Storey Suite was charming with beautiful views, just the thing I need to chill out in during an arduous work conference

Foxtel would be good. Being a 5* hotel I would generally see this a an expectation. Having 2 large flatscreen tvs in your suite with only snore tv as an option almost eliminates part of that luxury experience that you are expecting ( and have at home as part of the basics….) There are definitely some signs of wear and tear and things that need attention- eg, I was on the 17th floor, coming out of the lift there are 2 sets of draws…. These draws were missing a number of handles on them.

Check in was pleasant, staff very friendly. We were not able to check in early but we were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we walked around the city. Our rooms had awesome views of the river, worth paying for these. Rooms were spacious enough and comfortable, had a great sleep. Rooms were also very tidy and clean, not too hot or cold, and very quiet. Excellent location too, approx. 10 min easy walk from Central Station and right next to the river, so we were able to enjoy a walk up the river and back. Breakfast buffet was also very nice, good selection of fresh foods. Check out also easy and again the hotel staff were more than happy to keep our luggage safe for us while we went out for the day, as we had to check out early to go on our day's excursion.

Bath took a long time to fill up and water not that hot, a bit hard to gauge. Shower water pressure a bit lacking, but this seemed to be a common issue in hotels we stayed at in Queensland... not sure if it is common. Not a major issue though.

Lovely spacious suite, maybe a bit dated but great location and great views. If it had been furnished with two wash basins and two toilets it would be heaven. Would like to say a special thank you to our waitress at La Boca. She really went out of her way to ensure I had the meal I wanted, which was on my birthday and I was making a fuss about what I wanted. It was her first day , her name was Annie and I hope the hotel hold on to her as she is a great asset to them.

The service clean for the room was not performed until late afternoon and we had to request it twice on the first day and again on day 2

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room itself was great with excellent views. We dined at the Toscana Bar & Restaurant across the street, which had great food, attentive staff, and a lovely atmosphere.

Our package included the buffet breakfast in La Boca Bar & Grill, the Argentinian restaurant that Stamford Plaza uses for this purpose. The food and service was lovely, but the Latin music was a bit much, and QUITE LOUD, for a lazy Sunday morning breakfast. It was finally turned down upon request. Oh, and each table had a few comic panels - imagine Gary Larson style, but Temu variety - that were a bit bawdy. Probably not kid appropriate for some families. Tablecloths would help.

The river view, exceptional staff, big bathroom, huge bed, the beautiful ambience and fantastic value for money.

Our paperwork given to us at check-in said breakfast ended at 10:30. We like to go at the very end when there’s less people. We headed down at 10am to be told it had just closed due to Easter lunch. We were never told, but I have to say the restaurant manager was extremely accommodating and made sure we had a breakfast freshly cooked up with hot food, pastries and coffee. Not the same but grateful for the service and desire for them to remedy the issue. Besides this, our stay was perfect!
