Hubby and I had a super relaxing birthday weekend. Arrived in the morning for the dayspa (bonus was having the room ready by the time we arrived), then spent the rest of the day at the swim up bar (yummiest pina colada I have ever had). Breakfast the next morning was half the price if you book it before the day you eat (which the staff alerted me to which I appreciated - may just be for their Marriott members but it's free to join anyway). Their Italian ricotta hotcakes with honey and pistacios for breakfast were to die for!

I always check the bill and glad I did as they nearly charged full price for breakfast still, just had to remind them that it should have been half the price as I pre-booked. The signage to find Settimo the restaurant for breakfast was difficult - we ended up walking in through the exit. Each level didn't have a sign when the elevator door opens, so we kept incorrectly reading the opposite elevator number thinking that was the level we were on, confused us a few times! But really it wasn't an issue.

Loved the location and proximity to restaurants, shops, the botanical gardens. The bed was also super comfy and I had an amazing night sleep!

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like, but maybe an improvement… I loved the buffet breakfast but as someone eating alone my dishes were getting cleared and I got up to get another option or peruse the items and they kept thinking I was leaving. Surely there is a better system than constantly thinking someone is leaving when it’s a buffet and people are likely to get up and get more food… it just kinda felt like I was being pushed out even though that wasn’t the intention, they were just being efficient, but maybe something to consider.

Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff at Concierge, Reception, Housekeeping and in the Charles Bar. The room was a very good size and the equipment throughout worked well. The lighting switches are a bit confusing and a written explanation in a room guide would have helped.

The weather in Brisbane was unusually cold and the Charles bar on the ground floor was not a comfortable place to be as there were wide open doors onto the street that funelled cold air into the space. The bar staff when asked replied that they were not permitted to close the doors. The rooms we had looked onto other high rise buildings and had no view of the Brisbane River or the City itself. Good for business guests but not necessarily the best place for tourists to stay.

The breakfast Lounge was very 1980s and seemed extremely crammed and had trouble asking to get any more coffee and sadly they got our egg order wrong but I couldn’t get hold of him to ask to have it have it changed so I just had something else instead, the check in staff seemed much more professional. me breakfast. Hotel staff Seemed to be much more professional polished than the meal service personnel. It was not a relaxing morning for our 29th wedding anniversary - kind of rushed and breakfast food quality pretty basic.

Excellent customer service. The restaurant and bar were fantastic with a great selection of cocktails on offer. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard, but with some extra Italian treats added which was a lovely touch. The bed linen/doona was exquisite and I had a wonderful sleep. The decor of the premises was luxurious and I felt a real sense of luxury staying there.

My only issue was with the glitchy television. The Comcast facility dropped off after a while and I had to restart the TV at the wall to make it function. I was offered assistance from reception, however due to the late hour I was not in a position to have staff come to my room.

We have enjoyed great customer service on holidays before…. BUT, the Westin was something else! from the concierge staff, Charles Bar staff, poolside staff, room service staff, maintenance staff- ALL of the Westins employees made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. I honestly cannot get over how amazing all of the staff were and definitely made this stay not only enjoyable… but memorable!!!! The rooms were beautifully appointed, bed and linen were superb. The hotel was super clean and had live bands and DJs in the pool. Not to mention room great pina coladas!!!!!! Close to shopping district, Casino and botanical gardens. This hotel is a must, and we cannot wait to come back!!!!

Sad we didn’t stay longer!

I stopped in Brisbane for two nights when I first arrived into Australia. The hotel is exactly what you would expect for a Marriot- clean, sufficient and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, bed is very comfortable and overall very clean. The staff on front desk were also very friendly and welcoming. Valet parking for ease and great location- can walk to the riverside/ shopping and anything else including airport is not a far taxi ride. As I was there for a short time, I didn't get a chance to check out the pool and I always prefer to have breakfast at local cafes so did not include this in my booking.

I arrived late with 3 suitcases, no porter so I had to take care of my own luggage.

Location and room were awesome. They left a plate of deserts for our anniversary which was a lovely complimentary gift.

There was no bar staff at the pool which was disappointing. We had planned to swim up to the bar because it t was so cold and for the experience portrayed in the images of the hotel. There could have been music at the pool too. Also the cleaners entered the room before we had checked out which was alarming as I was getting changed. The shower had no body wash stocked. The card on the gifts for our anniversary said Mr and Mrs Bennett and unfortunately we are two females. I suggest gender neutral cards to avoid this. It was funny though so no harm was done.

loved the location, walk everywhere. beds were very comfortable. shower was supurb, along with products from molton brown. the pool area and gym were top notch. we all enjoyed the breakfast. loved being able to order our eggs as we wished. barista coffee fantastic. our daughter loved her iced chocolate to go. faye s the front desk was so friendly. The breakfast attendant from Peru was amazing, nothing too much trouble. Valet parking attendants were very professional. we would definitely stay here again

The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were really helpful and kind. We were given a room with a tub which was really helpful, considering we had children with us. The pool area is really beautiful, loved the beds. Lovely seating and the swim up bar was great. Also, great coffee!! Loved that we weren't given a portico, but an actual cot with a proper mattress. My baby slept so much better than he would have in a portacot.

Everything was fab! Any issues we had (our keys stopped working) were immediately sorted.
