Location great. Close to lots of restaurants and fast food. Not far from train stations either. Old fashioned hotel but still beautiful rooms and nice decor. TV could be updated however. Bathroom was nice and everything was clean.

Lady at reception on check in was just a little out of touch with her customer service. Picked up a call while we were checking in and she was on the phone for a good ten minutes booking someone else when we just wanted to go up to our room. Also didn't say hello on our arrival just straight up asked for my name.

The receptionist was very friendly and we could leave our luggage there the whole day before going to the airport The room was clean and spacious Great location

In the description it says that there is a stove in the room but there actually wasn't. This was very disappointing because we bought food for the stove which we had to throw away eventually.

It was a convenient Queen Street Mall and general Brisbane CBD location. The restaurant / cafe downstairs was also convenient and fairly priced for the eggs benedict and hot chocolate breakfast I had; $27. I was also thankful that the hotel was able to store my luggage for the day while I did things in the city, before returning to collect it in the evening to then catch a train to the Brisbane Domestic Airport and fly home.

For what the room was, I felt that $180 per night was a little too much and rather rich - especially for just one person. I think $120 per night would have been more fair; I do stay in a lot of motels and hotels over the course of an entire year. The wifi signal was so weak and hopeless to use. Also, I felt that the waitress in the downstairs restaurant / cafe was a bit too pushy about ordering and paying for the meal by QR code. I am a country person so order at the counter in person and then pay by cash as I did so.

I loved the old world charm of this property. From the moment you walk into reception to stepping out of the lift onto your floor, it was incredible. I loved the spacious and luxurious rooms and separate showers. I stayed in a 2 bedroom and it really felt homely. I noticed how quiet it was even though there were roadworks happening below. I also loved the big glass windows that let in beautiful afternoon sunlight. My friend and I stayed and chatted all afternoon on the comfy couches, drinking wine & indulged in the incredible room service. Food quality was next level amazing.

My husband and I were very impressed with the location. One block from the Queen St Mall and approx a 10-15 minute walk to Southbank. There is no problem with choice of eating places as all cuisines are within a walking distance. The problem is choosing one! We had a car, and the parking was easy. Parking was in the Uptown shopping centre which is diagonally opposite to the hotel. Entry and exit was easy with the assistance of a discount voucher. There is actually a designated parking area for hotel guests. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady at Reception. All the staff were very helpful with any queries we had.

It's a shame about the ongoing underground works happening right outside the front door, but this isn't the fault of the hotel and the rooms seem quite well insulated from the noise. Our room was at the front of the building and we didn't hear any noise!

the location, price and that gorgeous vintage style. it's tucked away amongst the busy road and Into another era, another world. a total sanctuary from the Gray busy city. very quiet and remarkably spacious rooms with kitchenette and washing! dryer! absolutely bargain and this was my 4th stay. love love love accommodated an extra bunk in case we needed and I wrote in at booking, very observant and excellent service.

the single bed was a bit hard but, I gave mum the big bed. the issue with the parking a little bit because I miss the valet elevator! easy parking nearby reserved for Albert guests but even with room stamp , $30 for two night/day and $11 more on exit. (sunday)

Super comfy beds, very spacious rooms and awesome location. Reception staff were super helpful as we had many staying there for a wedding and they went out of their way to help with early check in and literally anything we asked, they were very obliging and helpful.

Could have offered late check out without having to pay another night's accommodation especially as we booked 7 rooms and asked for late check out for one and was told by the not helpful guy that we would have to pay for another night so we didn't bother.

Fabulous room. Spacious and well fitted out. Bed is very comfortable. Super easy to all activities and transport.

The wifi. If you are a traveller wanting a good wifi connection, no luck. You also have to sign a disclaimer of sorts, about the wifi so obviously this is an issue at the property. I wasn’t used to paying a deposit in case I used the mini bar. Apparently it will be refunded in 3-5 working days. Unnecessary I felt.

We stayed one night in the sub-penthouse for a girls trip and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely old-fashioned, classy design. The location is great; close to everything we needed. Special mention to the reception staff, who were warm and welcoming at both check-in and check-out. Would happily stay again.

The only downside was that it was a bit tricky to access the building due to nearby construction, but that’s not the hotel’s fault and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The hotel is placed in the city and close to shopping and eateries. The street outside has many excellent options for meals, especially asian styles and there are numerous specialty shops nearby. The bed was comfortable and the rooms large and well kept. The building is old and you expect it to be a certain way. This building seems to have been well maintained and the art is something extra. The staff were all helpful, friendly and polite. It was spotlessly clean.

I didn't love the steps down into the living area, just inside the door but this was a small thing. Nothing else was an issue.
