Whilst it was an older room, we really enjoyed the 'walk in robe' which provided a heap of space for our luggage and to unpack. It also divided the room from the bathroom for more privacy. Liked having the option of the couch to sit on too. And the balcony view was beautiful. Stunning sunrise views to wake to.

The water pressure and temperature in the bathroom was a disaster. There was a terrible water hammer in the shower any time you turned on the water. To avoid this you had to turn the water on super high which made the shower feel like needles. The water temperature on the basin was either cold or so boiling hot you couldn't put your hand under it. Thankfully the shower and spa temperature was ok...just the pressure in the shower.

Special mention to the ultra-helpful and cheerful staff, particularly Rachel on Front Desk. Convenience of restaurant on same premises. Location, general ambience and definitely value for money were all positives. We are due back to Gold Coast in September and will certainly consider Oaks before anywhere else!

Not complaints, but observations. The shower plumbing emitted very loud noises when turned on, not limited to our room as heard from elsewhere. The water was scaldingly hot from the taps. A couple of minors issues were very efficiently dealt with by the hotel staff. Really, very little at all not to like, especially with a water view thrown in!

I didn't have any breakfast there. But the view and location from our room was amazing. We actually saw whales breaching out at sea. The young lady at the front desk was so helpful and welcoming. Her name was Valentina (I hope I spelled that correctly). We had an issue with the TV not working, my fault as I did not drive the remote correctly, but with no fuss she immediately came up to our room and sorted it out in minutes with a smile. Pleasant service from people these days is hard to find but she provided an immediate response and was to happy to help. Thank you.

The bed was huge but a bit hard.

Excellent location the tram is directly outside so close to the beach and pac fair shopping centre. Casino and other shops very close . Beach is close. Beautiful clean large size rooms and good little kitchen. The staff were Betty helpful and lovely! The ocean view was amazing !! I love the personal spa in the room and how quiet the actual room was. The balcony was so nice to sit and watch the sunset

Just some clear instructions on how to use the ammenities like washing dryer machine and coffee machine and microwave… some info on how to set water temperature on spa and shower .. took a while to work out but other than that all perfect :)

I managed to book one of the very last rooms late on Friday afternoon,.when I finally arrived to check-in at almost 9pm there were still people arriving without booking and being advised that the hotel was booked out tonight & already for tomorrow night- so I was unfortunately only able to stay the one night definitely would have stayed longer if I could have! Was told at check-in The spa in my room was out order but the lovely receptionist told me she would allow me access to the outdoor jacuzzi (that had already closed) for the next hour during the remainder of her shift due to my room spa being broken.. I took her up on the offer and enjoyed a lovely 30min spa. Thankyou to the receptionist who's name I can't recall - you werr certainly a highlight of our stay!! Rooms fabulous

Best views, of the coast. Close to beach Overall nice stay. Nice staff

What bothered us was a bit of a funky smell in the room, so we had to keep the balcony door open once arriving in the room and also sometimes during the night to get some fresh air in the room. Which was kind of dissapointing considering the price we paid for a sea view room. I also don’t know how we would have handled the smell if the outdoor temperature would have been higher. (Because it seemed to come also over the AC).

I liked the view from both balconies. The bathroom was spacious, and the kitchen was very easy to use. Overall, my partner and I had a wonderful anniversary weekend away together in the Gold because of our stay at the Oaks Surfers Paradise.

It was just the spa bath in room 1215 that the jets didn't work; that's all that was wrong with staying at Oaks Surfers' Paradise. The TV in the bedroom, Netflix, and other smart apps didn't work even though we were connected to the internet.

no breakfast available unless you went to the Crowne Plaza that was adjoined. So this was not a problem at all. Staff were super friendly. The room was fine, plenty of space with access to Netflix etc. if you put your account details in. The view was good from the 17th floor. Place was clean and tidy.

Nothing not to like really. We wanted a room and got one. If you want glamour you have to pay for it.

Oh my goodness, when they say luxury, they mean it! The balcony was facing the sea (even if there were other hotels blocking the gorgeous view), the bed was 3 pillows wide and SO comfortable. There was a shower AND jacuzzi tub which I took advantage off as soon as I got into the room.

My personal pet peeve is the toilet and sink in separate rooms because it spreads a lot of germs, but it was still an amazing room.

Good location. Across from a tram stop. Great big room. Room layout works well. Terrific reception staff. Especially the staff at the mid-afternoon shift on February 9th who kindly allowed us to have an 11am checkout the next morning, due to our time constraints. Again, thanks very much :)

An issue with the plumbing to the shower in our room. Noisy pressure problem in the pipework. Just a noise issue which the staff have been notified of. No big deal.
