Firstly just wanted to express my biggest thanks to Eva and Russel. They have made our stay a memorable one…everything was clean and comfy fresh towels every morning.The top notch breakfast service by Russel was really appreciated. Eva was so lovely as she offered us a ride anywhere we wanted to go also dropped us off in town for dinner as well as back to the bus depot. They recommended so many lovely places to eat that was a walk away. If you’re thinking of a place to stay in Townsville that’s comfy feels like home as well as safe this is the place to go!!! Everything was over and beyond great nothing bad to say.

Me and my partner were awestruck after travelling up thr east coast for 2 months and coming across this amazing bnb in Townsville. As any backpacker would, I'm sure they have treat days to escape hostels, but we definitely chose the best place. It felt like home, we barely wanted to leave the room it was that cosy. The owners are so friendly, helpful, and offer to make tea or coffee at any time they bump into you. It was great quality, really really clean, the breakfast kept us full until the late afternoon, and we had a great night sleep. I cannot recommend any other place than this. Absolutely no faults. I'd live there if I could!!

This was a first rate stay with wonderful hosts that made us feel at home. This is a fabulous house that was elegant and well maintained. There was safe off street parking and the owners greeted us warmly. We were offered a cuppa on arrival which was very much appreciated and we were given a tour of the house and its facilities. The accommodation was within walking distance to the football stadium and the city centre. We enjoyed a complimentary port (or you could have a sherry) and the breakfast the next morning was very, very good. The fruit platter was full of tropical fruits and even some that we had not tried. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. We will be back when we a next back in Townsville.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the hosts, whose hospitality set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The vintage interior of the property is absolutely charming, thoughtfully decorated. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, offering plenty of room to relax. The amenities were spotless and clearly well cared for, adding to the sense of comfort and ease. My morning began with a delicious tropical breakfast, featuring fresh fruit, toast and preserves. I would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Townsville.

I stayed there because I had a medical appointment, and I couldn’t of asked for a more friendly and hospitable staff , Classic bed and breakfast is a beautiful house and it has a lot of history. From the moment I got there I was shown through the premises and my room was so clean and comfortable, I was welcomed with a lovely pot of tea, my breakfast in the morning had beautiful fresh fruit and cereal and toast and jam. The owners of the premises are the most welcoming couple I have met in a long time. I will most definitely be staying there again .

A small bed & breakfast with a simple, but comfortable vibe. Should you want somewhere far removed from the large commercial stopovers, this may be perfect for you. Location is around 2 kms from the town centre, with easy access to everywhere. It also offers off-street parking. Classic Bed & Breakfast offers a country style experience with hosts who go the extra mile.

There is nothing to dislike, but a simple tea making service in each room would be an advantage.

Amazing breakfast! Fresh tropical fruit salad, yoghurt, hot toast, eggs cooked to your order, cereal and milk all presented very professionally outside on the back deck. Bed was comfy, and our room was well presented and spotless. Lovely old world Queenslander home in central Townsville. The hosts were so friendly and attentive. Made us a fresh pot of tea as soon as we arrived and made sure we knew all what restaurants were close by. Also enjoyed playing a game of snooker in the pool room and had a glass of complimentary sherry. Really can't fault this B&B. We'll be back!

Beautiful spacious room with character and comfort combined, within an amazing Queenslander house with a gorgeous terrace out back to enjoy the views of the mountain and sky, along with the big mango tree in the back garden. Lovely ensuite shower and toilet with the room. Bed was super comfy and I slept like a koala 🐨. The hosts Eva and Richard know customer service, and they are 11/10 in this department- attention to every detail, lots of local knowledge and tips from dining out and must dos in the local area. Breakfasts are top notch and plentiful. Full recommendation to stay here if you want a home away from home, and with true local friendliness and top service within a setting that gives you a glimpse into yesteryear.

Comfortable bed and breakfast in a period style property. If you are a fan of older architecture and design then you will love this property. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the property. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is convenient, with a short drive to the Strand. The daily breakfast is tasty, especially the wide variety of fruit.

The period style design is not for everyone. The ensuite for example has an older shower so there are some sacrifices in convenience that you wouldnt have with a contemporary style bathroom. Power points are lacking around the bed so charging your phone can be difficult. There are stairs from the car park to the main level, so if you have heavy luggage it can be difficult if you are not able bodied.

A truly lovely stay - from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The house was charming and clean, but what really made it was the warm hospitality. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with special extra touches such as ginger jam and gluten-free bread.Port and Sherry awaited us by the pool table.
