After a terrible experience at the Oaks Metropol, we were left frustrated and absolutely exhausted. Walking into The Palmer felt like a breath of fresh air. We were warmly welcomed by Maria, who was nothing short of amazing. She found us a room immediately, complete with mobility access and even offered a late checkout without hesitation. Her warmth, understanding, and genuine care completely turned our day around. Thanks to Maria, what started as a disaster ended in a truly magnificent experience. We won’t stay anywhere else in Townsville from now on. Thank you, Maria!

Excellent location and easy to get to, from the airport. Going to the Townsville Supercar event and the Cowboys match on Saturday, it was so easy to walk safely around to these events. Meals at the Palmer Bar and Kitchen were great - reasonably priced, well presented food and served quickly, with a great menu to choose from. Great atmosphere in Palmer Street and enjoyed being able to eat outdoors. Room was a good size for a double bed room. Clean and well presented. Great to have an area to sit down in reception. Friendly and helpful staff. Hope to stay there again!

Clean, modern. Friendly staff. Central to town. Swimming pool looked nice (although we didn’t get a chance to use). Very good value for money. We liked the idea of complimentary homemade cookies at reception to help yourself too and the free drink in the bar on the night of arrival so thank you! They were both lovely little touches. Would recommend if you’re staying in Townsville.

Slight smell of damp in the room. Would have preferred a room that wasn’t on the ground floor as we did hear noise from kitchen/bar area into the evening.

Nice hotel in the middle of town and right next door to Tiny Mountain Brewery (excellent food and beer). Nice touches include free 'homemade' biscuits at reception, free laundry facilities and free secure parking. We booked on the day after a car accident diverted our planned holiday, so our room was small but comfortable and perfect for our needs.

We stayed at the Palmer Collective for two nights. Staff on all shifts were friendly & welcoming. Our car was parked in a secure car park. The room was clean & tidy & the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure, no restricted water flow. Convenient location, with the Strand, Entertainment Centre & Country Bank Stadium, restaurants & museum etc, all within reasonable walking distance.

The room that we were in was particularly small, it felt a little claustrophobic to start (but I got used to it) & our view out of the window was of an air conditioner.

Everything is always amazing when I stay at the Palmer. I booked for this night as I flew in from Bali that morning and wanted a good sleep prior to travelling home. They have the comfiest beds, the friendliest staff.

Only thing is if you are using a vehicle and you come back late at night; there is a good chance that you might not have a car park in their parking. This has happened to myself before, but I have parked out on the street and had no troubles.

Location was great. Rooms we good size even for a couple.

Room was clean - shower could use a mould remover blast. If you are going to boast toiletries - have enough for two people. Refills of milk, biscuits and water should be done when the room is cleaned on a regular basis. Not Just when the guests check in. The breakfast in the cafe below was really expensive for what the options are.

Location! Convenient for dining options and rugby games at Qld Stadium.

Parking can be a problem (not enough adjacent to the hotel) when it’s busy but I was offered a couple of options. Also, not offered my ‘senior’ discount at restaurant, when I ordered? Saw an advert on restaurant slideshow, AFTER I’d ordered and asked hostess about the discount and she said, it’s not ‘generally’ offered, but appears on the website.

The room was perfect—easy to locate, quiet, and comfortable. It was clean, and the bed was cozy as well. I appreciated having a bottle of water in the room, which is always a nice touch. Additionally, there was the option to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee if desired.

To be honest, I have nothing to complain about. It is a lovely place to stay.

Location is fabulous, parking is easy, staff always super friendly, rooms are exceptionally clean. It's always our go to when staying overnight in Townsville and ticks all the boxes for price point, convenience, cleanliness and service. Complimentary drink on arrival is always a bonus after a long drive

It's fabulous for an overnight stay but I probably would feel the need for a balcony or opening windows if staying multiple nights
