My husband and I recently stayed at Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The room was nice with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The view from our window was spectacular and captivating, while the cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. The meticulous housekeeping contributed to an overall sense of well-being. We really enjoyed our evening swims at the hotel pool, which was situated in a private and convenient corner. We highly recommend this hotel for a joyful and relaxing experience.

As always as it is not our first stay here but it is our preferred place to stay when we visit townsville. Beds are huge as 1 of is not small but not overly big so the beds are comfortable and big. Small kitchen, washer and dryer, undercover parking so it gives us peace of mind to park our car. Walking distance to football stadium and not a big walk or ride to casino and other nightly businesses.

Honestly, absolutely nothing. If there is vacancy when we visit we only stay here.

Polite staff, from check-in to check-out and we could leave our bags after checkout and come back pick them up. Kudos to house keeping for moving that heavy sofa and splitting the bed into 2 single beds upon my request, keep up the great work, I see you. Walking distance to some great eateries along the same street; although they have a restaurant which we didn't try out maybe next time. Pretty quiet as the building is located at the end of the street I believe. We had a mountain view room.

The only thing that didn't work for us was connecting to the wi-fi we followed as per instructions but still didn't allow us. Gave up after few attempts. Don't know if reception is suppose to put you into their wi-fi system not sure but oh well better luck next time.

The room was comfortable and the perfect size for a single guest. I appreciated that it was quiet and loved the water views. Reception took immediate action when I advised the balcony door wouldn't open and it was repaired promptly.

I selected this apartment because it had cooking facilities but would have appreciated more than one small saucepan to cook with. The bowls were very small for those of us who eat more than a cup of food at a time! The wi-fi connection was often quite slow.

location was great, very close to resteraunts and cafes. Great location the view particularily at night of the city was very nice. A higher floor would be better, too close to roof and exhaust/airconditioning ourlets from building in front but otherwise it was very nice.

The swip cards to enter played up but they were in the process of changing to a better door lock system so I suspect it is fixed by now. Doors, neighbours door slamming back was noisy but they are heavy doors not really avoidable.

could do with a refurb, room looked a little tired but it was comfortable enough.

Great views over Townsville and close to restaurants and shopping. The staff were always helpful and ensured our stay was comfortable. Excellent security.

The first room allocated had problems with fridge,tv, and lights not working. We appreciated being moved to another room where we enjoyed all amenities working and a very pleasant view. The parking was difficult and cramped with large concrete pillars to negotiate.

The room is spacious, comfy, clean and like my expectations. I'm glad it has a washing, dryer, and dishwasher machine. Even the wi-fi can be connected to three devices. We had a cleaning service every day as well. It was awesome!

The carpet had a stain and after we pushed the table, some dirt was there. The curtain had a stain as well. The cleaning staff may need to find the right product to clean the carpet properly and also more details in cleaning.

The location was good and we had a good view over the river, city and marina. Close enough to restaurant's in the same street and in the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

We caught a taxi from the airport and the driver dropped us at the wrong Metropol Hotel. We caught a second taxi and he took us on a bit of a tour when indeed the place we were staying was just a short distance away. Not the hotels fault but nevertheless somewhat annoying. We spoke to other guests who said the same thing happened to them. From street level there did not appear to be any clear signage to show where the entrance to the hotel is located either by night or day. Being tucked away in that corner it is not very well seen from the street. A bit of noise from the work going on in the building underneath but not unbearably so.

Room and be were comfortable. Quiet location, easy parking and dining nearby.

Requesting a receipt from the Property Body via booking.com messaging and mobile number, to be told to go through the 3rd party eg booking.com who do not supply receipts. Could not find a local number to ring. Ended up having to go back to the hotel 2 weeks later and received a receipt from reception without an issue. Thank you to the young lady in reception.
