The room was very spacious with lots of areas to put suitcases. There were basic kitchen facilities where you could prepare sandwiches or use the microwave. We had a smidgen of view to the south. There was a huge shared balcony where you could sit and enjoy the view of Castle Hill. It was very centrally located within the city but without the noise and traffic, in a very beautiful area of Townsville. The pool was substantial with a water feature. Plenty of parking. The management were amazing and were only to happy to accommodate our needs. And it was a fantastic price for our two night stay.

Great location just out of the waterfront area and close to the goat track leading up Castle Hill. Very clean, comfy bed, lovely pooch in reception.

It was a perfectly fine overnight stay before kicking onto Magnetic. Only the uber noisy chain smoking bunch of kids blaring nonsense hip hop and yelling at 120 decibels by the pool was a negative. It didn't kick on into the wee hours but I appreciate forward notice that large partying groups are booked to stay when I am.

Friendly staff. Reasonably priced, simple, motel accommodation. Good AirCon, (the room I was allocated was also equipped with a ceiling fan). The facility, (including the room in which I slept) was clean and appeared to be well maintained. "Woolworths" could be reached on foot, (approx. 10 minutes). "The Strand", (Townsville Beachfront) could also be reached on foot, (approx. 20 minutes). Note: Though I think utilisation of a car / taxi / Uber service might be recommended for those who might have difficulty walking. The trailhead of the "Castle Hill Goat track" is approx. 10 minutes from the accommodation on foot, (this is a steep path through the bush to the top of "Castle Hill"). There was a lovely view of "Castle Hill" from the motel car park.

Best sleep. Only thing was pillows are a bit rough. But very happy with check in. I arrived after being with my mum from 6am at the Townsville hospital. I think I checked in at 11ish. The lovely ladie at reception. Aaccommodated me as I had a moon boot on. And the cleanliness of the room was A1 heads up to the male cleaners thanks summit. Will definitely stay again. 👍👍👍👍👍.

I can not honestly say one thing I disliked. Just pillows where a little ruff hard. But best place I've ever stayed in Townsville. Thanks to all the staff.

Very helpful staff. Found my lost property and got it back to me in no time. Very much recommended for service.

Could not for the life of me find the TV remote. There was a downlight out above the bed and the exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. These things did not make the stay bad, just letting the owner know. Cheers

The staff are excellent, so supportive and nothing is an issue. My partner had to bring a work vehicle into the facility, and the staff were accommodating in keeping the car safe. Rooms are clean and tidy, and linen is supplied and cleaned on daily request. The location is pretty and secure whilst close to shopping centres, libraries, and entertainment.

No dislikes...love the Summit and its staff

It was a nice clean, modern place located a short stroll to the shops and strand. My room was located upstairs and had a great view or castle rock. If you are looking for a place to stay for a short period for work and want to keep the cost down then you cannot go wrong with this place.

I didn't like that when I woke up in the morning and was hanging out for a coffee that there wasn't a Nespresso coffee machine with pods and some Milk Lab almond milk in the fridge.

It was ideal for our trip to the football. Close enough to everything with a short walk. It was also a good price given most accommodation goes up or sells quickly on footy weekends.

The light displaying the temperature on the air conditioner was large and bright and in the dead of night lights the whole room. If you have a preferred or specialised pillow you might like to take it with you. Otherwise, all good.

The staff were incredible during our 3-night stay. On our last night, my partner and I both got terribly sick and Kate at reception looked after us so well and we are eternally grateful. The cleaning staff were also super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were okay. Great value for money and nice and close to town.

Large and comfortable room and bed; all necessary amenities and toiletries, very good A/C + fan. Easy check in and check out process. Friendly communication, great view of the rock. Didn’t have time to check out the pool but it looked nice :)

The shower head is quite low, but adjustable and good pressure. A built in ceiling light needed to be replaced.
