Everything with the room was great. The view from the balcony was wonderful for relaxing and people watching while I enjoyed my morning cup of tea. The proximity to the beach the swimming areas, the many choices of eating and coffee/tea restaurants plus the walking path along the beach of the Strand were big bonuses.

The shower floor was very slippery when wet the tile was smooth with no safety stickers or roughing and I didn't feel safe whithout putting a towel on the shower floor when showering. I am a senior 81yo and a fall could have resulted in serious injury.

I have stayed at other similarly priced hotels many times in Townsville and prefer this one far and above the others because it's more than just a hotel room. If you need to work it feels more like being at home with the private balconies and little kitchen that is well equiped. The size of the rooms makes it feel more like a studio apartment than a cramped hotel room. Step outside and you have absolutely everything at your doorstep: Super markets, stunning walks, bottle shop and loads of restaurants. There is also a pool overlooking The strand which is nice.

As some of the studio rooms are individually owned they seem to be decorated a bit differently. Some are a little outdated but very clean and perfectly nice. I'm being a bit picky here. It really didn't bother me.

Great location on the strand with restaurants and cafes close by but still very quiet. Possible to do lovely walks along the esplanades and to the summit of castle hill.Didn’t meet any staff. Reception must have closed early however the check in process with the key in the locked box worked very well. The room was spacious very clean and bed super comfortable . Lovely having a small pool to enjoy. I didn’t use any of the kitchen facilities but it would have been posible to prepare meals in the room.

I noticed pool towels were behind reception desk so not an option when I checked in at 4:45 pm and reception closed. Not sure if there is an extra fee or deposit for these. Perhaps it’s a thing in FNQ but there was only a top sheet on the bed. There were 2 light blankets in the wardrobe so didn’t freeze

The location was exceptional we were able to walk everywhere and did some KMs while we were there! The rooms we changed to were ideal, as we were two couples travelling together. Views in these rooms although limited we could still see the water.

We originally booked through booking.com, as above as two couples. The room allocated was somewhat poor for our needs. But Tony was able to offer alternate rooms which suited our needs much better.

Only stayed one night but the room was comfortable and had all the necessary equipment if you stayed longer. And its location is very good as you have direct access to the water front and the restaurants.

Advert stated we had a garden view but all we had was the view of next door neighbour patio. A bit deceiving as it wasn’t pleasant sitting on the veranda and we kept our curtains closed for some privacy. Maybe tint the window for extra privacy!

I would love to buy a place here it is that nice.... Will be back... Great location

Explaining that parking is available on check in and that getting an actual key from a human would be nice. I actually had to help a person staying at the location to get their key out of box as they never recieved text about getting to complex. I

A perfect location on the Strand, near lots of eating places. Good car park, handy kitchenette and a blissfully comfortable king-size bed. Easy access once you’ve checked in and can use the garage as a pedestrian route rather than the steps down from reception.

A few maintenance issues e.g. damaged bathroom door. It would have been helpful to know access to reception on arrival is via a flight of steps.

Manager was exceptional. Facilities especially laundry were great and free to use! The pool and bbq area are well looked after. Cleaning staff were very good at their job. Location is FANTASTIC! My son and I had the best stay.

Rooms are dated and could do with a bit of a Reno but everything was fit for use

Apartments were clean and comfortable, all the basics provided for my stay. Close to shops, restaurants and ferry terminal / marina for all the sightseeing activities. Staff welcoming and helpful, particularly as my check in & out were after hours. Would stay here again :)

This was our second stay. We didn’t have the same luxurious king-size bed as on our first visit, but it was still comfortable - we appreciated the proper arm chairs. There is a very useful kitchenette, the parking is good and the location is perfect, with a big range of eating options within a short walk.

There are a few minor maintenance issues, eg soap dispensers that didn’t work.
