My stay at Bayside House Hostel was absolutely fantastic! The location, just steps from the beach, was perfect, and the hostel itself was spotless, modern, and wonderfully designed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I loved the cosy rooms, the social yet relaxed vibe, and the well-equipped shared spaces. It was such a memorable experience, and I’d highly recommend Bayside House Hostel to anyone. I’ll definitely be back!

Managing spaces in the kitchen was a bit of a challenge. Stricter policies in place could help when applied properly. Friendly suggestion: Out by label filled by the visitor sanctioned by 3 days warning label if out of date followed by immediate removal. It is a Health and Safety issue and needs proper consideration.

It's no secret that as a backpacker on a budget you are looking for the cheapest accommodation, this accommodation exceeded my expectations, as a backpacker I have been to a few hostels and this one is by far the cleanest (kitchen, bathroom, rooms) and all other areas are very well maintained, the staff have the expertise to be there when you need them but not stand out. the other guests are very pleasant and relaxed, it's quiet. Don't worry if it should be a bit louder in the communal area, you won't notice a thing in your room.

Staff was nice. They cleaned the whole hostel in the morning so thr kitchen and bathroom were ok to use during the day. You can watch tv and play pool. Also the shared rooms are nicely laid out for hanging out and to meet new people.

Bunkbeds are shaky and the dona is very thin. People didnt clean after themselves so it got messy in the evenings, and in the morning before their daily clean up (not hostel fault). Lighting in the room was not the best, it only had one window.

Bayside House is the nicest hostel I have stayed in while travelling there is so much to do with a pool table the tv lots of boardgames. All of the staff are really friendly and it’s a very homely place it was so clean and the kitchen is very good with lots of space for people to cook and a big dining table to eat. Many of the people living their have been their for many months and many people leave and come back as it’s such a nice place to stay

Staff liam was friendly, flight got delayed and the timing changed when i arrived i was stuck in MEL for with nothing to do,brazing the freezing weather(🥶), he allowed me to check in 3.5hrs earlier Its close to tram 16 and bus 246, which takes u everywhere in MEL(❤️) A 7pm-6am kebab just beside🌯

I just wish that theres a heater in everyroom 🙏🏻 Freezing in winter

I am so happy with my stay at bayside. I started by booking 5 night but ended up staying a month. As a single traveler it is a perfect place to meet new people and friends. There is a movie area and a pool area so people gather there. Kitchen is nice! And if you need some space alone there is couches located throughout the three floors. The location is perfect. Tram and buss just outside and a 20 min walk to the beach. Perfect!

Liam (Manager) and the staff were amazing and kept the entire place clean. Close the tram (2 minute walk). I extended my stay a few times. I will stay at the Bayside Hostel again when ever Im in Melbourne. Plus, Liam knows a lot about this city and about the activities not on Google. Kim the front desk person did a great job too.

It’s really well located! The tram lines are just next to the hostel so it’s very easy to get around Melbourne. The facilities were nice and cleaned every day. The beds were comfy enough. The best thing about this hostel is how social and friendly the staff and other guests are in comparison to other hostels I have stayed at in Melbourne.
