Friendly, dynamic staff. Not too many people in the hostel so it’s quieter than elsewhere but still feels like a great community and spending time together is nice! Near public transport and the beach. Quiet street/area! Breakfast is included in the price and is good value for money compared to other place.

No fan in the room, just a mini-machine, which honestly makes no difference. Sleeping together without fresh air is disturbing and disruptive. Think about improving this and adding air conditioning in the bedrooms. Kitchen very small, with a table for 4 people maximum... and the dishes + dishwasher area separated from the cooking areas is annoying because you always have to cross the whole room with pots and dishes and food. Reception closes at 4PM too early

Feels very safe area and hostel for a solo female traveller. Friendly staff, excellent location. Comfortable beds, daily cleaning. Clean bedding, clean kitchen and bathroom. Quiet at night. Sinks in room. Close to food outlets, tram and bus stop. Free breakfast a bonus, toast & cereal. Plenty of plugs to charge phone, I used a power bank as sockets not by beds. Massive bonus is shower cubicle not just a curtain. Male / female bedrooms. Nice friendly pub attached. Common room available with TV.

Showers - hard to control temperature! Cute mouse lives there but couldn’t see any droppings so cleaned thoroughly! People snoring in my room!

Down stairs there is a welcoming reception desk with friendly helpful staff who let me store my bags. There is also a charming cozy pub with music, indoor and outdoor seating that serves enormous plates of the best pub food ive had anywhere with discount for hostel guests and free breakfast. Up a quaint narrow staircase are the hostel shared rooms bunkbeds, lounge room tv, kitchen fridges stoves pots pans plates ect and bathrooms all comfortable basic backpacker accomodation. Nothing luxurious but everything you need provided in clean tidy condition. The only reason the kitchen has undone dishes and the rooms have belonging everywhere is because the guests leave it messy. The hostel and pub have put effort into creating a nice vibe in a very reasonably priced backpackers. A lot of effort by management to keep smoking outside away from the rooms is appreciated. I would stay here again thank you.

The GUESTS should be ashamed and cleanup after themselves and each other. If guests put in the same amount of effort to keep it nice as the management has then it would be very nice.

It was a very comfortable stay, the environment is very quiet and friendly. The breakfast is served at the bar on the ground floor, a very nice place. My roommates were friendly and everything is cleaned daily (toilets , rooms, kitchen, floor). The location at St Kilda is very good as well. I recommend the hostel for solo female travellers and I would be back if I need to stay in Melbourne again.

The only thing I have to point is that the kitchen is a bit small and the sink is in a separated area of the oven, so you have to move from one place to the other when you are cooking. But it is just a detail, the place is very good and comfortable.

Staff behind the desk at the check in were very nice, friendly and welcoming. Cheap rooms and easy to extend the stay.

We checked out of the hostel on two separate occasions - one of us accidentally left behind a watch charger the first time and AirPods the second time. Contacted the hostel as soon as we realised, which was within a few hours, as we knew exactly where we left the items but were told they weren’t found after the room had been cleaned, on two different occasions. One bed in a shared dorm had a spring sticking out from the mattress which was rather uncomfortable.

Staffs are nice and friendly. I asked something when I got sick during stay and they were so helpful and kind. The accommodation is organized and good vibes. I definitely want to try their accommodation in different cities too!! Thank you so much guys!!!

If kitchen is open for morning it’ll be perfect for me because I really enjoy making breakfast:) But I understand that closed kitchen mid night to morning for safety and keeping clean as well.

Breakfast was good, with a variety of food and drink. The room was nice, with heater, chair, useful tables with rims to stop things falling off, and hand basin with hot and cold taps that was very handy. Good to be able to open window a little for fresh air. Doona was warm, and didn't need heater on through the night.

would have been good to have a little milk for tea and coffee. Couldn't get the wi-fi to connect....tried several methods without success, but might have been some fault at my end!

Atmosphere was amazing!! Option for long stay cheaper rent. The staff was great and decent basics for included breakfast. Great connection to the trams and only a quick ride away from the CBD. Beach in walkable distance just as Woolworths and Fitzroy st. Everything you need close by and a great social atmosphere.

Showers could be improved as the water would often switch between really cold and boiling hot but you get used to it. In my opinion the kitchen was too small for a full hostel but with a little flexibility you could manage. A few of the rooms would get quite noisy but there’s the option for quiet rooms.

It was the cheapest and the nicest hostel i stayed in in Melbourne. If I'm going back to Melbourne, then I'm going to stay in this place, made many friends in that hostel thanks 😊

I'm a musician and wanted to perform in the bar downstairs, but the manager told me he already has a guy who sings there every weekend. For me, using the same person every time sounds quite boring, but that is just my opinion.

ALWAYS ENJOYING TO LIVE IN THIS HOSTEL ! Not too many peeps but friendly and good vibes, clean, free breakfast, bar downstairs with discounts and events, staff always here to help, near to St Kilda beach and night clubs at Chapel St, just 20min of tram to the city center, fans or heaters in the room... 👌🏼
