Clean. Did the job which was had a bed and shower

Booked a one bedroom because Says it “has” a sofa bed and it doesn’t. Had to go down and ask for a roll away because we needed two beds. Kitchen only had one water glass in the cupboard. Shampoo conditioner body wash on wall was empty Also trying to find the hotel was abit of a struggle as the writing in the building is small and gets covered by trees on the street.

Amazing location near Albert park, in between the CBD and St Kilda and ideal with a tram stop right outside. The area felt very safe, even at night. The staff were great, friendly checkin staff and the housekeepers were exceptional. There were a few times when I was in and they wanted to clean, they were so polite and helpful making the bed up and providing more dishwasher powder! They also were very attentive in the bathroom, regularly replenishing soap and tissues! The apartment was really clean and the kitchen was good.

The kitchen could have had a few more utensils / pots and pans. There were some building works which were a little noisy in the mornings as they were right outside the balcony of my room. Wouldn’t be an issue for guests on the other side of the building NOTE - I just got on with it and did not complain to the hotel, they may have been able to help with these if I had so these aren’t massive complaints

We spent two nights at the Oaks Melbourne and couldn't have been more impressed! From the moment we checked in, we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and perfectly located, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also enjoyed the convenience of being close to some of Melbourne’s best attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. A special shout-out to the incredible staff—everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. We would highly recommend Oaks Melbourne to anyone visiting this vibrant city. A flawless stay from start to finish!

I had my grandson with us this time , the staff were very accommodating , I also love the fact the elevators don't move unless you swipe your room card first . The room had a standard size fridge , the room was very clean , the bed was very comfortable & the heater was amazing in the middle of July!

The only thing I didn't like was there was no drainage hole in the bathroom floor to get rid of excess water. Having a 4 yr old who loves water meant the floor got very wet everytime he opened the shower door & I had to use the towels to dry it after he finished.

The lightly scented fragrance throughout the hotel. Beds were very comfortable. Also the bar/cafe on ground floor was a nice place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. The lady Nicole who worked in the cafe did an amazing job.

We arrived to learn we were going to be charged an extra $30 for early check in even though our room was ready. I had emailed hotel a couple of days prior and indicated our ETA as being before the standard 2pm check in time. We had just travelled 4 hours by road and were keen to take our luggage to room to freshen up before heading out. Car parking is very expensive. Windows in our room were filthy but not sure how you would keep them clean all of the time.

Comfortable room, good location, sound proofing. Also I had a bad experience at a previous accommodation and had to book this one last minute - the lady who checked me in at oaks was very sympathetic and helped me to arrange early check-in, breakfast, etc. I was very happy with the stay

Just a few minor details, like the confusion with breakfast - online everything says it's a la carte, but it's actually a buffet, and I was sitting in the restaurant for five minutes or so waiting to order before I discovered this. Not a huge deal - I think this place has changed name/brand recently so listing needs a bit of an update. Kitchenette was handy but missing a few things - eg a saucepan to use with the cooktop! I'm sure they had them if I had asked, I just used microwave instead, but a bit annoying

The service, the value for money and you surprised us with complimentary Breakfast. Being a charity - WomenCAN Australia - and us supporting Simone to visit from Bendigo to put her in a lovely hotel (2nd stay for 2025), the breakfast was very much appreciated. It made her feel very special as one of our valued team members. So thank you.

Not the fault of Oaks........ Simone was kept awake by 3 drunks in the adjoining room - ie 11pm at night. Reception responded very promptly. When they could not get them to answer the phone - which Simone heard them say 'I am not answering that', a knock on the door soon achieved the desired result. Simone was not sure if they were moved or did as they were told. Regardless she was able to enjoy the rest of her evening relaxing at Oaks Melbourne/St Kilda Road due to the staff acting appropriately. So again, thank you.

free room upgrade & early check-in & late check-out for my birthday trip, comfy 1 bedroom spacious apartment with balcony, great water pressure in the shower, good location & staff were friendly & welcoming 🙂

the onsite restaurant & bar was closed my whole stay ... no fry pan to cook with in kitchen , had to request a pot to boil eggs instead ... day 2 there were several tradies hanging off my balcony constantly drilling & doing some sort of maintenance from early morning continuing all day long which was very loud & very annoying ...

The staff at the hotel were wonderful, helpful, kind. The beds were super comfortable.

The reason we booked the apartment at Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road was that, in its listing on Bookings.com it clearly stated the room had a sofa bed in the lounge. After we had booked, however, we were told there was no sofa bed. It is really important that you change your listing because it is misleading. We were then told that the bed in the bedroom could be separated into two single beds. When we arrived at the hotel however, that wasn't possible either. This would have all been a complete disaster were it not for the wonderful staff who provided us with a complimentary wheel-in bed. They were wonderful.

We liked the convenient location, as we came to Melbourne for an appointment at our consulate. We especially liked that, although we could not check in before 2pm, we were able to park our car in the secure underground carpark ahead of time. That was extremely appreciated. The rooms were sensationally appointed and very comfortable and spacious.

We booked two rooms, and noted there was an adjoining door conencting the rooms, but it was locked. We didn't know this ahead of time, and being able to access each other's rooms this way would have been much more convenient. Perhaps if a family is booking two adjoining rooms, they can be asked if they'd like to have the adjoining door opened or locked.
