The location and the College Lawn pub itself is a great property with lovely food and happy hour drinks. Free washing machine and dryer provided which is great while travelling or if you happen to get caught in the rain.

Honestly, the WORST bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. These beds need to be replaced ASAP. Springs were pretty much pressing into my body. Although there is a heater in the room, there was not enough bedding considering it was mid-winter. Another thick blanket should be provided during the winter months at least. The kitchen area was dirty and smelled like mice. I actually wiped all the dust around the washing machine and dryer area.

was a pretty chill time! the location is great; next to ptv, near all the shops/cafes, venues, etc. room is pretty much just a bed and lil table which was all i needed it for! bathroom/shower and kitchen area have the basics. it's on top of a pub so there's noise from downstairs until around midnight (not as crazy as a backpackers but similar type of noise) but it was footy friday when i went and it honestly wasn't that bad even with that type of crowd so it didn't bother me. only issue really is that because the building is old and the rooms are small, it gets really got and there isn't any AC. they do provide a fan which worked fine for me, but something to consider if you run hot! overall a really painless experience with no real problems!

Situated a short walking distance to Prahran station, the hotel is perfect for someone who wants to be close to the city and stay stay directly in it. Sitting above a pub/bar, I didn't have any trouble with noise or traffic. The roof was a decent size and tea and coffee were provided. The staff were very helpful on check in and showed me to the room personally. Would definitely stay here again.

The double bed were 2 singles pushed together, which didn't quite line up. Be awkward to sleep in if I had someone with me, but it didn't bother me alone.

Excellent facility. Has everything you could need in one place. Pub, beer garden, sports bar and a small bottle shop below the accomodation but not noisy at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room is small but comfortable bed, tea and coffee, fan and heater. Toilets and showers were very modern and clean and maintained. 6 minute walk to chapel street but street noise is a minimum. So very worth the value and will be returning no doubt.

The shared bathrooms were a bit more grottier than I would have hoped, and someone spewed all over the smaller one and it wasn't cleaned well at all for 42 hrs which was a shame. I think there should be atleast 1 or 2 floor length mirrors somewhere, if not behind the door of each room then atleast in each of the hallways, cause there is no mirror that allows you to see from the waist down in the whole place! And maybe in the winter offer an extra blanket But none of those things will stop me from staying again soon :)))

The College Lawn is well located, rooms are basic but have everything you need. Love the newly renovated bathroom and kitchen! Thanks for supplying the heater, keeps the room warm on cold winters nights.

A simple, cheap mattress topper would do wonders in cushioning the mattress springs.

The staff is great. The room and other spaces were pretty clean. The bar and pub are great if you wanna eat something or have a few drinks. The pub get pretty crowded on game match days. The location is reasonably good, close to several bars, restaurants, coffee shops at Prahran. There are lots of good options for your breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Narrow entryway and stairs to the second floor, where the rooms are. Little too noisy on game match days.

The staff were friendly and helpful and when we reported a faulty heater in our room they replaced it quickly. We needed somewhere economical to stay near where we had to be early the next day and The College Lawn was perfect for that. Being able to have dinner downstairs before going to bed was a bonus.

location is very convinient with lots of trams to city. kitchen and toilet was reasonably clean.

music was loud during weekend but with earplugs it was fine. no clothes hook anywhere in the bedroom which is inconvinient for hanging clothes and towels.
