nice big room great view, we had trouble finding tv Channel ,staff we very quick to help us out, very friendly staff, Great location if you don't want to stay in city ,tram stop out the front of hotel to take you straight to city and NGV

The room was fantastic and clean. Great size and view. Food was great and good value.

All the staff were excellent and friendly. Unfortunately we had a poor experience on checkout with feeling as though we were an inconvenience to the person who was on check out at reception.

We loved how comfy the beds were. The staff were also really nice to us during our stay. The views of Melbourne from the room were excellent and the room was a great size! Honestly a great hotel

Only a couple of things. 1) someone had a party in their room across the hall from us and we’re blasting rap music late on a Sunday night. We called reception and the manager came to speak to them - they essentially told him to get lost refused to open the door and carried on and he just kind of left? We were very confused as to why he would tolerate that kind of behaviour however they did turn the music down enough so we couldn’t hear it after that. 2nd was we got room service and the portions for the desserts we ordered was a little small for the price and a little cold when it arrived but we were on the 7th floor so I kind of understood.

Oh my gosh the shower - I considered how hard it would be / how much I would be charged if I unscrewed the shower head and brought it home haha! We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day while visiting family at The Alfred (and Santa easily found us). The cost was substantially less for a much larger room than where other family members stayed nearby. The bed was very comfortable and the blockout curtain was one of the best I've used. Safe walking to and from the hospital at all hours with a child.

The shower drainage is a bit awkward, don't place your floor towel until you get out otherwise it will be drenched. Housekeeping replaced these during the day though.

This is our 3rd stay and we stayed 2 nights most recently. We have been so impressed with comfort of bed, shower heat/pressure, good TV/room size and easy access to the city via tram which is why we return. This time we discovered the shampoo/conditioner is actually great, Dyson hairdryer amazing, luxurious robes, iron in the room and the TV swivels making it easy to watch from bed! Our bed was made the next morning which was a surprise! Love coming here!

We were not impressed with breakfast the first time so have chosen not to get breakfast here and opt for other cafes in the area.

The location was great for needing to get to the Alfred Hospital. Reasonably clean and easy to get to. The staff were super friendly and efficient staff.

Noise from the adjoining room. I wish the doors were more soundproof as we weren't travelling together so it was quite off-putting. The shower could do with a deep clean and some bleach. There was some mould and the grout was discoloured. Also some small drawers for clothing would be really useful for longer stays, but not a deal breaker. Definitely stay here again, regardless of the above.

The room overlooked the Albert Park cricket ground and we had a skyline view of Melbourne. When booking ask for a city view room, otherwise you may get a room with office building views. The staff at reception were excellent, nothing was to much of a problem if we needed help.

There is no drawers to place your clothes, such as underwear, socks and other non-hanging items. No stationary available to write messages, Car parking is very tight, a SUV will get in, but the driver needs to to be on the ball, otherwise a big scrape on your car. Limited room service menu is only available for dinner. Breakfast is served in the resturant but we did not go.

The price was amazing for what you get. Maybe the only reason because it was a back street and not on the main street. But doesn't matter. Facility was clean, looking grand, even the elevator look high class. Parking on site. I got a free upgrade since a King room was free and the room I booked was organised with a cot. I think it was a booking.com error. We are there on business. The front desk person whoever was on that day, thank you so so much you were very kind and this topped our long day up for sure.

Need to park on the street before checking in. After buying the hotel private parking fees then you move the car outside into the hotel underground parking. So don't pay for too much outside . It is limited so there might not be some available and we have to work that all out after travels and work at 11pm.

Room was very comfortable.

The staff member and supervisor arguing that they could not provide me with a tax invoice as it was booked and paid for through booking .com, even though booking.com information clearly states that a tax invoice for tax purposes would need to be provided by the premises at which I booked. This is something that needs to be sorted by the view to train staff or work eith booking.com so that it does not occur in the future. A telephone call later in the afternoon resulted in a very friendly staff member forwarding the copy of the invoice.

Superior room was brilliant with widows around. Bed was superb and excellent. Great TV. Use own APP on phone for Netflix etc. Room service available. Staff were brilliant. All questions to them answered with a smile and knowledge. Has a restaurant attached at front serves a reasonable selection at normal hotel prices. Price of room was great. Very affordable.

As we don't like buffet breakfasts, only a very limited option available at the front outside restaurant. However, 2 doors down is another cafe with more extensive breakfast options. The hotel foyer and in house restaurant has a great vibe. And a great layout. Such a shame that no fine dining option is available at night. Great spot for a reception. Tram outside to either City or St Kilda. Just a short ride. Also, across road is hospital precinct, so perfect for visitors. Highly recommended
