We were in Melbourne for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Albert Park. A primary reason for choosing the Royce was that is was within walking distance to the venue. That was great, but so was everything else about our stay, starting with the staff, all of whom were helpful, friendly, professional and extremely pleasant. Beyond that, the property exceeded my expectations. Boutique hotels can sometime be a long shot, but in this case hit the mark in every way. The room, dining, cleanliness, location, convenience (not to just Albert Park but to the Melbourne CBD as well, easy access to the tram system. I would stay at the Royce again on a future visit even if not in town for the F1 GP. A special call out to Casey at the reception desk. Incredibly kind, helpful and tolerant of our many questions and requests. Side note: the Royal Botanic Gardens are a short walk away from The Royce and are well worth at least a half day of your time.

Nothing comes to mind.

The staff that I would like to commend for their outstanding customer service and professionalism: Jill, James, Ella, Kathleen and Gerard. They all went above and beyond what I expected. The room was amazing and the boutique hotel was very luxurious. If you are looking for the best experience and the best room in a beautiful top-end hotel, look no further. We will be back. Everything about this hotel is top drawer and so comfortable! We were even able to check in early and freshen up before touring.

I loved everything about this boutique hotel. The staff made me feel like I was truly their guest!

We planned a 1 week holiday around Victoria, starting with 1 night at the Royce. The hotel is just stunning and felt like the a Melbourne gem! Nate and the team were there to help with anything that we needed. The beds were comfortable, the mini bar had cute local snacks, and the room included a dyson hairdryer and luxurious bath robes. We had a balcony with tables that looked out over trees and the city. It was easy to catch a tram to Chapel Street for dinner. After dinner, we enjoyed a nightcap at the gorgeous bar inside The Royce. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and I'd love to come back again!

The location is exceptional right next to the Botanic Gardens: we walked 1km to our concert (Sydney Myer Music Bowl). This hotel is conveniently right next to a tram stop, so travelling into the city is very easy. We had a lovely room and very comfortable beds; it was surprisingly quiet. Foyer had a luxurious feel. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our cocktails in the stylish bar before going out to a concert. Recent refurbishments are elegant and swish, and still look like brand new.

We had the bad luck of visiting during a time when the electronics played up. Our automatic curtains opened and shut continuously in the morning, until the reception reset the system. Unfortunately as a result of the tech issues, our guest cards did not work in the elevators, and we needed assistance to activate the elevator buttons, every time we wanted to go up to the room. The staff were happy to do so, and apologized, but it did take away from the quality of the stay.

location near the gardens and nearby restaurants within walking distance, away from the city but close enough to catch the tram. Gym.

Gym was closed for a period while we stayed with you. No loyalty program as have now stayed with you 3 times and recommended my brother and sister in law who stayed with us last week under the name of Keaveny. Feel weekend rate is very expensive and would make us consider other cheaper options.

The decor and styling was beautiful! All the staff we dealt with were incredibly helpful and friendly! It was also close to the Shrine of Remembrance, which was great. As my partner is a Veteran and we were attending the Dawn Service on Anzac Day.

As a light sleeper, wasn’t able to sleep with the aircon/heater running as the fan is a bit loud. However, able to switch it off so not a big deal as it was a cool night. But this was a minor issue.

We had originally booked a King Room with a balcony , but on arrival for our 36th Wedding we had been up graded to a Superior Suite. The aesthetics and boutique ambience of this Hotel made our stay amazing. The staff were exceptional. The location was a short 5 min tram ride to the city, which made exploring the city really easy. The breakfast in the Terrace Restaurant is a must do...the food is sublime.

We stayed for two nights, one night prior to our Wedding and the night of our Wedding. Outstanding service with exceptional interior design and architecture . This hotel was elegant with a touch of electric. The boulevard suite was absolutely fabulous and breakfast was fantastic. Everything about the Royce made this milestone of ours so special and memorable.

Our room for three people had the mezzanine floor. it was luxuriou. two bathrooms .. the softest beds etc. All of the fittings,, lamps, fireplaces, carpets. etc etc etc..throughout are of the highest quality and style... it is simply superb. The dining/ bar are situated in the old showrooms entrance area , it makes the most of sweeping curved staircase in this beautiful Art Deco building. The staff are exemplary!!

I could not get a smaller pillow for my bed!!!! ( 🙄). That was all.

Fabulous bar, lovely room, especially loved having a Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom. That was a real treat. The location is lovely, it’s a bit shiny for my tastes, highly polished walnut and Crome aren’t my favourite aesthetic but that’s just personal taste. it’s a fabulous Hótel otherwise. Will be better once the construction for the tram/train line is completed as the construction sight is quite noisy. Ask for a room on the side overlooking Melbourne Boys Grammar as it’s much more peaceful
