Great location, walking distance from town, or a short tram ride…Unfortunately the spa was out of order, we assumed it would be in working order as it was advertised as a feature of the property when we booked. After speaking with another guest we found out that apparently it’s been broken for quite some time! (Many months)This is not an acceptable ruse, it does not take long to get these things either repaired or replaced & if not in working order then this should be made clear to those paying to stay before they book. We enjoyed the space in the balcony 1 bed unit we booked, it was clean, but be warned it’s a little worn and dated though, could do with a good proper patch & paint, and some new living room furniture. Reception staff always friendly & helpful.

A haven of tranquillity and order. We love Melbourne but at the height of the Open and school hols, it gets a bit mad, and as an older couple we need a little quiet time. We had a second floor apartment, clean, quiet and well equipped so we could decompress after a busy day. The bed was comfortable on an epic scale! I want that bed! The is a good Woolworths Metro nearby for self-catering.

The room wasn't made up on day 2 of our 3 day stay, which was a bit disappointing. No reason for this could be offered by reception. The fittings on the bathroom were somewhat worn, and the kitchen cooktop and oven were a bit old and inefficient.

Continues to be the most curious hotel in Melbourne - was 5-star at one point, almost no maintenance for decades, now a recent set of renovations in some rooms that have cheapened the character but I guess are practical. I still feel like it is probably a money laundering scheme. The rooms are architecturally beautiful, the beds are comfy, there are cooking facilities, location is great for this area and the staff are generally good and helpful and it’s great value for money.

Just a general lack of maintenance and care - mismatched cutlery and not enough, had a saucepan lid without any saucepan, cheap toaster tripped the circuit breaker and had to be replaced, just a general expectation that there will be a thing you have to sort out. Wifi is bad, car park 1.9m if you have a van. Pool is 10m. All survivable for the price, room and location.

It's a beautiful budget stay, that has its own unique character and has that homely feel. An exceptional distance from the city centre, and is good hotel for those who want that closeness to the CBD but it wont break the bank. A rooms a room in this case - and the Seasons Botanic Gardens delivers on the basic and necessary. ☺️👍🏾

Saying that, it comes with its "homely" touches. Meaning it is a bit dated in the corners and edges and linings (things aren't sparkling clean, or you notice the various patched up jobs) - if you're expecting modern and brand new, this ain't for you baby boo, but if somehow you want a roof over your head or somewhere to do the boom boom tingzzz 🔥 then go ahead and put this place on your afterpay and thank me later

We had a family room with two bedrooms. It had full kitchen facilities and a TV in the living area and both bedrooms. The location was great as we walked the Botanic Gardens and my daughter and sister attended a concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, which are both very close. There are lots of restaurants/cafes around the location and a few handy supermarkets as well. We also walked easily to Southbank and the city is close as well. I was able to park my car in the secure car park under the hotel for a reasonable nightly fee.

We would have liked if the room had a view over Shrine and the Botanic Gardens across the road.

staff were absolutely lovely. we arrived later on in the evening after a long 11 hour drive. The man on the front desk was lovely and helped me with my bags. Staff the next morning were also very helpful gave us some tips on where to explore before our flight back to the UK. The room was fantastic and perfect for what we needed. swimming pool was great for the kids, the area around it is very tired and needs updating but to keep the kids entertained for an hour or so it was perfect and it was clean.

nothing, I think it was great value for money staff were brilliant.

Great location. Very convenient to use the trams. We have stayed several times before. Very spacious apartment. Comfortable couch. Small TV. Comfortable King size bed. Good clearly labelled bathroom amenities that are fixed on the wall to be re filled instead of small containers.

Very limited crockery and utensils in the kitchen. One plug that I took from the bathroom to use in the kitchen sink as with so few dishes we needed to wash them by hand instead of using the dishwasher. Low lighting in all the rooms. Not bright enough. One small table lamp in the living room which didn’t work. Kitchen bench in very poor condition.

The hotel is extremely well located, a short walk to the city and the botanic gardens directly opposite. Very easy to get to anything in the Arts precinct. Appreciated the onsite car parking, which was reasonably priced. Rooms are quiet. Opportunity to open the window to get some fresh air rather than just relying on air-conditioning.

The decor is a little tired but nonetheless the rooms are comfortable and clean.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms are lovley. Beds and pillows really comfortable.

Paid for a balcony, balcony was rusty and dirty, had no chairs which defeated the object really as myself and my friend have disabilities and would love to have sat to see the beautiful view we had. Kitchen is ok, but not much room to work in at all, range hood light didn't work. Porley lit throughout the room and bathroom Could do with a spatulas and tongs Spa was out of order..

The staff were absolutely sensational, kind, friendly, and very helpful. The location was perfect for our trip, the premises were very clean and smelt amazing.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, the iron was broken, and it leaked water all over my clothes, and the board had no padding, so I was ironing directly on the metal with only the thin material cover over it. The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good either!!
