Great blend of modern comfort and classic charm. Room amenities and toiletries were great. Restaurant looked nice however, we didn’t eat there. The hotel's location is convenient, being a short tram ride from Melbourne's CBD, with attractions like the South Melbourne Market and Albert Park nearby.

We arrived about an hour before the hotel opened which made things tricky luggage wise as we were wanting to store it before we were able to check in. We didn’t anticipate this and would definitely recommend arranging this in advance with the hotel if in need of storing luggage before check in.

Perfect position for us as we did Albert Melbourne Parkrun and a yes a 5/10min walk to the start. We liked the area with easy access on tram 12 to the city. We met Fay first the very lovely and helpful lady who was cleaning early morning. We found the staff in the bar really friendly too. Loved the big bed and great wet room. It was quiet too. Tea and coffee facilities and an optional minibar were lovely extras.

I’d say a couple of things could be improved. I emailed a couple of times to ask, as we would be arranging early, would we be okay to leave our bags until the room was ready. No reply! Although when we arrived we did manage to drop them off. Reception staff could have been a bit more hospitable and friendly, maybe an off day

Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant and bar, great location on south side of Melbourne, walkable to Albert Park and easy to take a tram into the city or the cool St Kilda. If you like walking, the city, botanical gardens, museums and St Kilda can be reached on foot if you plan long walks.

There was no breakfast other than some individual cereal packets and one-person milk cartons in the room mini-bar. The details for this hotel had shown that breakfast was available - but this was not the case. We were advised to go to the cafe up the road, which offered good breakfasts.

The location is perfect for exploring South Melbourne with easy access to the South Melbourne market, Albert Park and an easy tram ride into the city. The area is fairly quiet and in addition to the south Melbourne markets we found a local wine shop with a great selection of boutique wines.. overnight on street parking was no problem

There was nothing to dislike about the property. That being said the pub downstairs and rooftop bar were closed over the Christmas period while we were there so not sure how much noise if that would generate.

The room was modern, clean, and nicely laid out. The location was very convenient. Despite the rooftop bar not being open, it was still accessible and views were nice. The only staff member we met was the cleaning staff who went above and beyond to accomodate any requests we had.

We were not aware the restaurant and rooftop bar would not be open to the public during our stay, however, given the short period of time we were there this didn’t matter.

Easy check in Comfortable , clean, modern room. Minibar with snacks and drinks to purchase . Large screen tv connects to internet easily Central and easy access to Tran and city and other parts of south Melbourne and south bank

The main doors and outside room doors seemed to make a lot of noise all the time . I though the rooms were a little small but still no big deal !

Everyone was very welcoming on our arrival. The building was attractive and clean. The passcard worked the doors first try. The room was wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed. In the afternoon we took our complimentary drinks up to the rooftop bar and enjoyed the sunshine, privacy and views. A wonderful experience all around.

The electronic door to my room seemed to be affected by the aircon inside so I had to learn the "knack" to opening it, at first it was disconcerting to possibly not be able to get into my room after hours but I got it worked out and it was fine. The staff were great in assisting though.

Highly recommend the Coppersmith. Bar downstairs has a great atmosphere and a really nice place to have a drink and meal. Then you go up to your room which is very well appointed and so clean and comfortable. Location is also excellent close to lots of bars and restaurants and tram straight outside the front of hotel

Lovely staff - very welcoming. Comfortable room and very clean and tidy; with a stylish bathroom. Fantastic bar and bistro located on the bottom floor. A really great boutique hotel. Perfect for public transport, with the Number 12 tram from the CBD heading straight there, and the stop less than 100 metres from the hotel.

The lift was was out of service for my visit, but with only two flights of stairs and an overnight bag, it wasn't a drama.
