I know the 'pub' part of the Middle Park Hotel with good meals in a beautifully renovated hotel in the wonderful Middle Park village but we needed a place to stay 1 night as we couldn't be at home. The basic double room was great value for money. A really comfortable bed and pillows, a clean room with space to sit, a refrigerator, Nespresso machine and milk heating and frothing jug, chocolates and nice toiletries. We were on the first floor overlooking Canterbury Road and had no road noise at all, so great noise insulation. We checked ourselves in via a keybox as the pub was closed that evening, and that all went smoothly. The pub does not do breakfast but there is a great small supermarket, fabulous cafes, a gourmet food store and bakery all on the same block in the village. Easy on street parking overnight too.

Nothing, excellent value for money without being a flashy hotel

Our perennial favourite in Melbourne: between the beach and Albert Park Lake, and across the road from a tram stop with a line that will take you past the South Melbourne Market, and straight into the CBD. Lovely pub and meals, with quiet rooms that leave you wanting for nothing. Well staffed, friendly and helpful service - cannot fault it. If you can do without a lift - for everything else this hotel has to offer - you won't be disappointed!

Great option if you have an event in the local area and don't want a long drive home. We were at Pippi's Kiosk in Albert Park. The room was very quiet, so a good, restful sleep. The hotel does not do breakfast, but there are options in the village. We went to Neds European across the road.

Couldn't find the remote for the split system aircon. It didn't matter much as the night time temperature was good for sleeping.

We are repeat visitors from East Gippsland. The location provides excellent public transport links, the light rail stop is across the road. It is our favourite for 2 or 3 day visits to Melbourne. We park for free with plenty of street parking close by, forget the car and use public transport. In house food is excellent. Great Indian restaurant and Cafe 20 metres away. Love Middle Park. TV upgraded. Great shower. Rooms clean and comfortable. Good and friendly staff.

Rooms are small, no lift, but we know that. Don't spend much time in rooms.

Rom met expectations and was comfortable. Did not have breakfast at the hotel but had an excellent evening meal on the night of the stay. The location was ideal for us as we were attending swimming championships at MSAC

Accommodation access was a little hairy for us as we are seniors but would not prevent us from staying there again.

Love staying in places with character and this place definitely has character. The staff was super friendly. We even got drink vouchers for the bar. The location is perfect as it right next to a tram station which brings you right in the city or to St. Kilda beach. The room was spacious and the bathroom very clean. Shower was good too. Free Nescafe espresso and a good tea sortiment. Happy to come back and most likly will next year.

I think the air-conditioning was a bit noisy or some noise came from somewhere else.

Location is excellent. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room was very nice. This is an excellent, charming property. I am capable but the one issue one might have is the lack of a lift. It would be very difficult for older folks to lug their luggage up two flights. The location likely could not be better. It is steps from the light rail... five stops to downtown. Albert Park is acroos the street.

Fantastic location close to the tram station and five minutes walk to the beach. Excellent restaurant. We did not have much interaction with the staff, but the room was cleaned everyday. Really enjoyed our stay. Visited the local cafes for breakfast.

Only stayed one night but our accomodation was excellent. Staff were more than accomodating and friendly, especially the receptionist. Great atmosphere in the pub and my favourite Guinness was on tap, a bonus for me. There are lots of areas to relax in and even an open fireplace which is nice on a winters day. The dining area was large and we enjoyed our meals.

Always stay here due to proximity to Lakeside stadium & the luxury of ordering dinner up to the room after a long day competing.

I’ve stayed here about 4 or 5 times & each time I’ve stayed I’ve been put in a smaller & smaller room! The first stay we had a fantastic spacious room with a small seating area in the room but this last time there was barely room to walk around the bed!
