The room was awesome, clean, and the facilities and amenities were great. Location also great. Beds are really comfortable and family friendly.

Staff can be more friendly. From Day 1 arriving, with not a single knowledge of how to check in or park, the front desk greets me with HOW DID YOU GET IN? Like I'm some kind of lost person stealing their car park. The second response when I asked whether I can check in early was: No! We are fully booked and you need to come back at 2 pm. And didn't even bother to ask how we were going to get out from the parking lot without a FOB, lucky enough we got someone coming out so we can get out. When we came back the response from the front desk was HOW DID YOU GET OUT? I was like wtf? The staff we encountered during our stay were probably robots since they did not respond to Good Morning!

The one-bed apartment had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, although there were a couple of niggles which I'll add below. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed, the wifi was excellent and there was a smart TV which meant I could watch things on demand. This was particularly good because the main purpose of my stay was to visit the Australian Open tennis and this meant I could watch the tennis on other days and choose which court I wanted. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location is great for walking to the beach, shops and public transport as well as being in a quiet area for when you need the escape.

I am not a tall person (5'4") but even I thought that the sofa was too low and uncomfortable. I took to boosting my height by sitting on two cushions!! There is a lack of decently located power sockets. Quest provided an extension cord when requested, and I understand it's not the easiest thing to rectify, but I was staying by myself and felt the need for my gadgets so a couple or family would really struggle.

Quest Bayside is in handy location if you need to stay at St Kilda. We arrived late and we received clear instructions how to access our keys from a very visible locked box. The room was clean and spacious. Although we didn't use the kitchen it was hand for cups of tea and to pop things in the fridge. It had a lounge area and table and chair - all were adequate. The showers had hot water and towels and products were available. A washing machine and dryer were also in the bathroom. The room was quiet and the aircon worked. The Quest is not top luxury but given it's location, cleanliness and pricing it was very good value and didn't disappoint.

All very good.

Great location, within walking distance to the Palais Theatre, Luna Park and all the restaurants etc. The bed was very comfortable, water pressure fantastic. The room was a little tired looking and basic, but it's clean, and has everything you need, in conjunction with the location and on-site parking ($25/night) I'd stay again for the price. The reception staff were very lovely and accommodating.

The smart TV isn't hooked up to the internet and I couldn't get it to connect, which meant I couldn't use the Netflix, Prime and other streaming apps. I wasn't in the room much as this was only an overnight stay, so this didn't matter enough to seek solutions from reception, but if there's a way to connect the tv to the network they need instructions in the room, I'd have happily used my own streaming accounts if the TV had been connected to a network.

Comfortable and quiet. Having a kitchen was very helpful. The pool was very welcome on a hot day although can get a bit crowded when children are about. The location is supurb with everything so close by - beach, parks, shops, restaurants, walks, events. St Kilda has it all! Excellent public transport provided by extensive tram network nearby - in particular to local markets such as South Melbourne and Victoria Markets.

Car parking was available, but at extra cost which was a bit pricey.

The room was comfortable and there was enough space for movement. I suspect my room was an inner room so there wasn't much of a view but that wasn't really an issue for me as I was out exploring for most of the day. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and happy to answer my questions whenever I approached them.

There were just a few things that were more annoyances than deal breakers for me. Firstly was that there was no provision for lotion even though other toiletries were provided for. I couldn't get the TV to connect to the internet to stream from youtube, and for some reason the water pressure for the hot water in the shower was not a lot. Again these are just minor annoyances and can be fixed.

Welcoming staff. A nicely designed and well presented studio apartment, with the kitchen in a separate space from the bedroom, overlooking a church with a pretty garden, in a quiet street in St Kilda. Trams to city close by, also Acland Street cafes and the Palais Theatre. We did not use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped and clean. A separate washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom. Lovely toiletries in the shower.

Hot water was VERY hot - a warning notice might be sensible, particularly if families use these apartments. Would have been good to have been able to prop the balcony door open for fresh air as there are no other opening windows. Paying a bond for a one-night stay which has not yet been returned though we were advised that this would be processed when we checked out.

Great location and fully stocked kitchen, which allowed us to cook for our toddler!

The wifi was a bit slow. The bedroom can get a bit hot in the night because the aircon is in the living room. We requested for a fan, which they provided, but there are no accessible electrical sockets in the bedroom to plug the fan. Lastly, there is no ramp at the main entrance, so we have to carry the stroller up and down the stairs.

Good location. Close to pubs and shops and St. Kilda shops and Luna Park. Lovely area. Not too far from Melbourne and south Melbourne markets (which are fantastic for food and some clothes) by uber. the kitchen area was very handy.

As the air conditioning is in the living space it does not reach the bedroom. I asked at the front desk if they have any fans and they said no. Given this is an Australian hotel I would expect a portable fan due to the weather we have and not just rely on air conditioning. this needs addressing. Also given we were there two nights it would have been nice if the tea, coffee and milk was topped up. :( Parking was very expensive per night so lucky we were only borrowing a car.

The receptionist was absolutely fantastic, quickly found a portacot for us, and even offered to set it up and apologised profusely. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. And I loved the full kitchen and laundry in our room. Definitely will be staying again if we ever have to head to Melbourne

Google maps took us on a wild goose chase trying to find the property, we arrived at night so it was a struggle to see. Then the cot that we had requested wasn't in our room
