Location was excellent for our visit to The Palais Theatre in St Kilda. Many food places within walking distance also, and St Kilda beach is right there for you to walk to. There is a Sunday market on the esplanade and Luna Park is there also for the family to enjoy. Ease of transport to accommodation from Spencer Street Station.. tram stops just near the Palais and a short walk to Carlisle Street.

Split system heating seemed to fail in the room throughout the evening, room was cold on our return. Heat setting was working when we checked in, as staff had turned it on prior to our arrival, but was blowing cold air when we returned later after concert, but that is not a reflection in anyway against the accommodation as it was great, as were the staff.

1. Nice location in Saint Kilda. About 600 m to the sandy beach. Many eateries in the area. Coles Woolworths supermarkets. Easy to get by an airport express from/to Melbourne International Airport either with a change at the Southern Cross railway terminal or directly. 2. I was staying in a superior room. It was spacy and clean with a comfortable bed. 3. The hotel staff was polite and attentive. Special thanks to George who helped me to activate an Australian Optus mobile phone card.

Quite early check-out at 11:00 a.m. Reception desk is not working 24/7 but when you arrive late the hotel personnel provides you with detailed instructions how to find the keys in a secret box and enter hotel and the room. It is not possible to provide a secure deposit in cash, only payment by card is acceptable and you have to wait for some days until the money has been credited back. Because of the tram line along the street from time to time you can hear trams passing by. But this issue does not refer to hotel itself.

Check in was easy .I only stayed one night as I had to stay overnight near the hospital for med appointments at The Alfred Hospital which is a tramway ride away from the hotel. Check in staff were wonderful and the room I had was spotless it had everything needed. It was quiet overnight.

The bed was hard but that is a preference thing and I found it hard to sleep but that was me not the hotel. I like a soft bed. Otherwise it was a perfect place to stay for me. If you are wanting to be in or around St Kilda it is near everything you would need. Cafes and shopping nearby along with Luna Park , the Beach as the Palais theatre which is hop, skip and a jump away.

Building looks old and worn from the outside, however the room itself was clean and well presented. We required a cot which was provided at a small fee. The cot was very old school metal frame (without drop side) however my wife loved the old school charm and look me said she felt that it was very safe for our 9mth old infant. The hotels location was excellent. Close to restaurants, shops and the beach/Luna Park and a short walk to Albert Park.

The kitchen was well stocked however there was no small frying pan or egg flip/spatula, and the fridge was very small.

Convenient location and friendly Staff

Our room had a large patch of water in the living area that didnt dry up our entire stay, it was wet enough to soak your socks, it was in a spot that made it very difficult not to be able to walk around it. I informed the staff immediately all they said was that they would make a note of it, didn't offer to inspect it, dry it, change our room or even offer a discount for the inconvenience. I'm not normally one that like to give a negative review but really was annoying getting your feet wet especially in winter.

The location was perfect for our weekend plans also how close it is to Acland Street. Room was quiet and bed was comfy. Off street secure parking, although it was not undercover.

The room was a little small and bland for "Deluxe King with Balcony", and the balcony was not appealing to be out on. $25 car parking excessive for not being undercover. $150 deposit uncommon these days, usually $1.00 hold for credit cards, I did question this on check in considering I had already paid in full prior to arrival.

The location was great. Close to eateries and Palais Theatre where we were attending a show. All these things were in walking distance. Didn't use but tram runs straight past the motel to the city if needed. The bed was comfortable, and room was warm. The shower was large and pressure excellent.

The main criticism would be chairs to sit in. There was only one chair (desk) for 2 people, so it was either sit on bed or lie there. I would have liked a comfortable chair. Bathroom was small but ok.

Could NOT confirm "no stairs" room in advance. We appreciate the best-efforts idea, but this is not sufficent, due to mental and physical disability, so very risky to book here when a stair access room might be allocated but cannot be accessed - what happens then if other hotels are booked out. Not to mention the further difficulties of a refund, making the further booking, moving across to another hotel etc. We should be able to confirm a no stair room for a disabled person. Other hotels in the area have lifts to all rooms.

The spacious one bed apartment with the balcony is well fitted out and pleasant to stay in. The accommodation is good value for the cost and affordable on site parking. The location is excellent in the heart of St kilda.

Two things There are no power points in the bathroom and no where else in the apartment with a mirror for hair drying. or any other electronic items. tooth brush shaver etc. The shower over the bath does not have a grab rail for safe access which I thought was a health & Safety rquirement.

Location is everything to us and this hotel had it in spades. The parking was great $25 and it was behind a secure gate. The bed was a King bed and the bathroom was updated and nice.

My husband and I are both deaf to a degree and we had the tv on. Okay maybe too loud for some and someone complained. Reception called and I apologised and said we would turn it down and we are deaf and her reply was "Well if you don't we will call the police". How degrading is that.
