Excellent location, 5 minute walk to Southern Cross station. Budget room but had everything needed. The room was bigger than expected wirh enough room to have bags on the floor and not trip on them. Basic tea coffee making and fridge was big enough to put a few extras into. Basic bathroom, 3 in 1 body and hair wash provided, was clean though with enough room to move. Did not notice any street noise. Great accomodation if you are only looking for a place to sleep. They also let us store our bags prior to check-in.

Would have like a 2nd pillow. I didn't ask though. 1st world problems. Bed was comfortable and warm enough.

Initially, I booked a room with 2 single beds, but upgraded to a double and a single bed. However, to pay an extra $60 for the beds, I would have stayed in the original booking, to be honest, because the space in the room was tight; however, the bathroom was big, and the room was clean and tidy, and it didn't smell like an old building where in older buildings you can smell the mustiness but happy to say that it smelt very clean. I thought it would be noisy due to the renovations going on around the area, but it was very quiet, except the two people in the next room.

I booked this very last minute, and while it's a fairly no frills option, the bed was comfortable (and I slept surprisingly well in it), I was able to make tea, I was able to log in and stream things on the tv, and the bathroom was clean and easy to get in and out without flooding the floor (as can happen with some worse-designed showers). The heater was much appreciated!! All in all, I had no issues with this room.

I had to close the windows because there was some kind of industrial noise coming through, but as it was cold I didn't mind. There was a note to lock the door, and the deadlock almost got stuck one time which was frustrating but not ultimately anything that ruined the stay.

The room was small but very comfortable, it met our expectations and is in a great location, we arrived an hour earlier than expected and found we were able to check in as the room was available at the time we arrived, this was a huge bonus for us.

Overall, we had not complaints, the room was comfortable yet small, but it served our purpose. They supplied coffee and tea in the room, the tea was good, coffee not so much, it was there for convenience and the milk was the small UHT blisters, barely enough for a decent drink. This is only minor items and should not detract from your stay as there is a convenience store across the road and supplies are readily available should you need them.

The property is excellent in location with all the trams and local shops nearby and also the mainline train station within 5-7 minutes walk. The rooms are well sized and very affordable for what you get. The staff are excellent and all very friendly and welcoming. During my stay I had an issue with the TV as some of the services were not working and the management were very efficient in getting this sorted and relocating me to a bigger room at no extra cost as they were fully booked but still accommodated my situation to ensure I had a great stay. They have breakfast everyday with a pretty decent selection available and the option to upgrade if you wish to do so. There is also a small gym and laundry room on site, both of which are pretty good as you don’t then need to go and find these options elsewhere.

There isn’t anything bad to say from the experience I had.

The location is perfect, close to the train station, restsurants, chemist across the road. It was quiet, the rooms were comfortable, and the room service was great, the cleaning staff were friendly and our rooms were lovely when we came back each day, beds made, clean towels and they had even washed our byo breakfast bowls. This is our second stay here and we will be coming back again, great value for money!!!

The only negative was the lift wasnt working for a short time, but was fixed quickly, so we really even complain about that, nobody can stop nechanical failures, thats part of life!!

The reception staff members were most kind, helpful and competent. On my arrival, the young man at the counter took my heavy bag and carried to my room as he explained the key card system to me. A very courteous and pleasant professional indeed! On checking out the young lady on duty was equally first rate in her kindness and very competent manner. She insisted on carrying my bags down the flight of steps to ensure my safety. Then, she offered me clear and easily understood directions to ensure that I would be able to reach Southern Cross Station to catch my train. I am most grateful for their compassion given to an elderly and frail person. My warmest thanks to these good-hearted, efficient young people

Without the timely help from the staff members, I would found great difficulty in dragging my luggage up the steps

Excellent location close to southern cross station,tram and skybus. Bed was firm (good for the back) and comfortable, as a back sleeper. Hotel is older and a little worn, but modern/renovated where it counts the most - the bathroom! and it is clean and maintenance forms are in each room so you can report anything that isn't working.

Position of the bed made it a little hard to navigate around the foot of the bed. kept bumping into tables etc. Could do with a spare blanket for chilly night. The hair dryer burnt out, but the next day started working again, so i didn't report it.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We were able to check in before 2 pm because a room was ready. That was very helpful as we could leave the bags and explore the city right away. The room was nice and the beds were comfy. The hotel is located a short walk away from Southern Cross Station. It's very convenient even when travelling with kids. Public transport is nearby as well as many places to eat.

One of the lifts was out of order for the entire time we were there so there were queues for the remaining lift. We chose to take the stairs most of the time. The room got very hot during the night despite having the window open.
