Most of the staff were very helpful, especially a waitress named Jennifer, she made us feel very welcome and comfortable for our breakfast, very good at her job.

The first day our room should have been refurbished, I had to call down to reception as when we got back, there was a dirty used cup still on coffee table, dinning table had not been wiped over after our in room dining the night before. Spare pillows still lying on floor waiting to be put away, no coffee, hot chocolate or milk replaced, and we were out of them all. Was not happy about this. Also one staff member (male) that was on breakfast shift, was not very interested in being there, he stretched over me to take a glass of our table without a word, his mannerism looked like he could not be bothered and didn't want to be there.

Good location for our intentions, rooms were comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

I don’t think the hotel can cope with being fully booked. Only two of 4 lifts appeared to be working. I’ve never been to a hotel where people queue to use the lift almost like a busy office building. Breakfast was busy as the hotel was fully booked, at the food stations empty containers were quite slow to be replenished, hot beverages other than tea are to be ordered via waiting staff but no wait staff were readily available, we had to go and ask for one to be appointed to our area. A hotel of this calibre and price can do much better.

The hotel is conveniently located in South Wharf, right across the street from the car park. As we were guests at the hotel, we were able to validate our parking, which was a bonus. We also found that the hotel was amazing, from the staff, service, the room itself, the view, and even the amenities - it exceeded our expectations so much that as soon as we checked in, we advised for our family to book the night as well, and they too enjoyed their stay. As we were getting married on the weekend, staff were so lovely and accommodating. I couldn't recommend them enough. I will definitely be returning in the future again!

There wasn't anything that we could have fault, but if we had to name something, then we would've liked for parking to be more affordable or for there to be room service (for hot food).

The experience was amazing right from before the entry where the staff greet you. We have stayed at a lot of Melb hotels and I wasn’t sure the location would be ideal but wanted to try something different. The location was fab! It was buzzing - I knew DFO was there but it was the restaurants, bars music, and easy 10 min max walk to Southbank . Also the breakfast buffet here was one of the best ever Hotel had put a complimentary gift in room to welcome as it was a special birthday. Thank you so much!

I found it a bit hectic getting into the parking (DFO) - with all the works happening in that part of the city I felt bit stressed. Not the hotel issue but if possible catching the train would’ve been easy for us. And it’s close to southern cross

1st off, amazing 5 star hotel. first impressions mean everything and as soon as we approached the desk we were greeted by a lovely staff member. we initially mentioned we were wanting to make payment and get out check in sorted so we could attend later on and just pick keys up as we were having all day tattoo sittings. to our surprise we were offered a room then and there...it was 9am! check in wasn't until 3pm. this was amazing. it allowed us to get our belongings and prepare the day that was. upon returning to the room around 7pm after 8 hours of pain we were greeted with a bottle of wine, chocolates and personalised card wishing my wife a happy birthday. we found this to be extremely nice gesture. the fact they would have planned for it to be in our initial room and made the dash afterwards showed the level at which this hotel operates at. being in extreme levels of pain that entire weekend due to tattoo expo at exhibition centre the beds were amazing, the comfort of the room was perfect I would 100% recommend Pan Pacific for your next stay. they made everything easy, fun and a joy. 5 star hotel, 10 star experience. thank you

Great location for city views and access to southbank restaurants and bars. Good size suite. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Good kitchenette facilities.

Not exactly clean - food on table etc. one 2 person sofa for 4 people so you can’t really use sitting area as you would plan to eg spend an evening in! They closed the bar and restaurant with no advance warning and the waitress refused to let me look at menu to choose something to be sent to my room - reception were great and fixed this. The sink in the bathrooms is tiny and under a huge wooden shelf - whoever designed this never tried cleaning teeth or washing in this sink - ridiculous design.

Outstanding Weekend Getaway in Southbank – Truly Memorable! We had an absolutely fantastic weekend break in Southbank, Melbourne. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful, making us feel welcome straight away. To our delight, our room was available well before the official check-in time, and we were even given a complimentary upgrade to a suite – such a thoughtful touch that really made our stay extra special. As if that wasn’t enough, we were surprised with a bottle of wine and a beautiful birthday card waiting in the room. It was such a perfect and personal touch that added so much joy to the weekend. The suite itself was spacious, stylish, and spotlessly clean – everything we could have hoped for and more. The service throughout was truly outstanding – attentive yet unobtrusive, and always with a smile. We genuinely loved our stay and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Melbourne!

The service is excellent at the Pan Pacific. We couldn’t go to the club lounge after 5pm with our 6 year old but they brought us drinks and plenty of canapés to our room. The assistance with early check-out was fabulous and also the attention to detail was great. Really a fabulous hotel catering to business customers and families alike.

Our room was a little tired in parts - the tv cabinet was a bit run down and there was somewhat of a stain on the bathroom bench - assume this soaked into the stone and couldn’t be fixed with cleaning. It is not the most modern 5star hotel but the lobby and hallways were in great condition and made for an excellent first impression

The location was great. The view from our room was awesome - looking out across the Yarra and at night, the city scape was magical. The bed was like a cloud, very comfortable. The black out blinds are a great addition for when we wanted to sleep in. The smorgasbord breakfast catered for all dietary requirements. Delicious and filling. Huge shower space with good water pressure. Staff were accommodating and friendly . Check out was quick and easy.

That our stay was only 2 nights 😞. It was also very busy during breakfast, making it hard to converse easily. Maybe had we got there earlier, it would've been different, but then we would've missed our sleep in. There were long waiting times to dish up your breakfast, esp at the popular spots...eg. toast, bacon, and eggs. Towels could've been fluffier.

What we liked most about the Pan Pacific Melbourne was its unbeatable combination of luxury, comfort, and stunning views. The Skyline View Room truly exceeded our expectations, with its floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking panorama of Melbourne’s skyline and the spectacular view of New Year’s Eve fireworks. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed, creating a relaxing and upscale atmosphere. The service stood out as well, with the staff being exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel truly valued as guests. The property’s location was another highlight—being right in the heart of the South Wharf precinct made it convenient to explore the DFO, with plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options within walking distance.

While our overall experience at the Pan Pacific Melbourne was excellent, one minor aspect we didn’t particularly like was the limited availability of working elevators during peak times, especially on New Year’s Eve. With so many guests staying to celebrate, there were occasional delays getting to and from the room.
