Great location. Friendly staff. Daily maid service on request. Was supplied with an extra quilt on request. Microwave ovens seem to have been put into rooms. Along with the bar fridge and kitchenette, this makes for great convenience.

Rooms tend to have a large window, partly frosted but without a curtain. This is fine in summer but can make the room cold during winter. Perhaps if the hotel could add curtains, this would save in heating costs. Had to make sure that the heating from the split system air conditioner was turned up to compensate and had to ask for an extra quilt.

1. Location is near the main intersection of Bourke and Elizabeth Street. You can't get any better than that! 2. It has many shops, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. 3. Very near tram stops. 4. Price is good considering how expensive accommodations are in Melbourne. 5. Room was very wide! 6. Rooms are cleaned everyday, has fresh towels daily too. 7. Has a small kitchen! (At least in our room.) 8, Has airconditioning/heating.

1. The hotel might need a bit of a facelift as it does look dated. 2. Public areas might need a bit more cleaning. 3. Wifi could be stronger (in our room, it is strongest near the kitchen/door, but hard to connect or maintain wifi connection elsewhere in the room.)

The location was fantastic. So close to everything! The small kitchen was equipped with basics to prepare easy going meals if necessary. Beds were comfortable, heater worked really well, Shower was nice temperature and good pressure. We stayed very comfortable in this room.

There could have been a few extra things in the kitchen. Such as a tea towel to dry the dishes, A pair of scissors to open packets, A microwave safe container would have been useful too. The shower screen is a bit short and allows water to seep out into the bathroom area. The bathroom grout on the floor could use a deep clean. We had a cracked window in the bathroom and the window was not sealed properly.

Great location on Lt Bourke street, next door to Piccolina Gelateria. Short 30 minute walk to Melbourne Park for concerts. The room is small, but for a low price it is more than comfortable. Unfortunately the room lacks lamps, so the only lighting comes from 2 downlights (one in the kitchen and one above the bed). The tv in my room had a broken screen with bleeding in the right hand corner, but would still work to watch shows. I didn't use the kitchen, but there are 2 hotplates and a pan and saucepan. The shower in the room is fantastic and heats up immediately (and water pressure is high for those who like that). Staff were nice upon checking in and checking out.

This is a very centrally located hotel in an interesting and Buzzy part of Melbourne. The room was adequate, and everything was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me a quiet room on the 2nd floor, so I wasn't subject to the night-time noise other reviews mention. There was a small kitchenette area, with small under counter fridge, a stove top, and sink, and basic cutlery & crockery, although only 2 of everything.

The trade off for the quietness of my room, was that it was dark and the fluorescent lighting wasn't very welcoming. One high window looked out into a lightwell in the middle of the building so there was no sunshine and very little natural light. Everything in the hotel is clean, but very dated. There was a microwave in the laundfry room, but I would have preferred a microwave than a stove top in the room itself.

Everything was clean and in a good location - just need to go straight and see Chinatown. The things that I needed to buy were pretty much in the vicinity, and Melbourne Central was just a few walks away. Very nice to wake up in the morning with a big window on the side of the room. There was also an electric cooker I cooked in, which meant that I didn't always need to eat out, I could easily just cook something if I felt like just staying in. Friendly staff, and pretty straightforward information was provided to me before my stay. There was also a self-service laundry. TLDR: Good location, clean amenities and furnitures, and friendly staff. (Cooker was also included).

Nothing much that I could say, really. Except probably for the fact that inside the hotel, there's no source of food or drinks for a quick grab. Other than that, it is all good.

We were in a room on a Saturday night that faced Little Bourke St and it was so so noisy until 5:15am (definitely expected some noise being an inner city hotel on a weekend but this was pretty loud) and a spot light from a neighbouring rooftop pointed straight into our room through the blinds. I would definitely suggest rooms need double glazing and block out blinds installed.

I've stayed here several times. The price, for the location, is amazing. It's a converted office or commercial building, so the layout is a little quirky, but I had a decent sized room and a large bathroom. The refit was done a few years ago, so there are signs of the usual wear and tear, but overall I have to recommend it for an overnight stay in the centre of the city.

The location is the best part of it. We had room service every day. It’s an apart hotel but we weren’t expecting so much space in the room. Great value for the money. 24hs receptions helps a lot. Bed was great.

Public spaces were a little bit dirty and the room was very noisy cause the old windows. We stayed in a double room and there was only one chair in the rooms, which was uncomfortable for sure. You have space to cook but not to sit down.

We stayed for one night. Check in was simple and quick, staff were very friendly. The rooms are a bit old but they are clean and nice. This is a budget hotel and for the price I was very happy with it. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the city with loads of cafes and restaurants surrounding. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags in storage for a few hours which was really helpful. If you're looking for a good hotel in the city for a budget price, I would highly recommend.
