Apartment: - booked a 1 bedroom apartment which is enough for a small family of 3 ( traveling with a 5yo child) - utensils, mugs, plates, pots and pans were provided but if you plan to cook for kids best to bring a small non stick pan. The one provided sometimes food sticks to it when cooking. - soap/ shampoo/ body wash and lotion were provided and it smelled nice with no harsh chemicals inside it Location: -3 mins walk to the nearest tram -10 -15 mins walk to the biggest Coles on Spencer street (for buying groceries) there’s also an Asian shop there where they sell Asian food and drinks (found tempe and edamame there) - nearby small parks -15-20mins walk to Myer/David Jones/Melbourne Central - nearby restaurants that are halal (Chinese/Thai) Melbourne central has a few options too (Marybrown/ Little India/ Oporto chicken only /nene chicken) Communication: - staff were very fast in responding to our emails if we needed anything or had an issues Check in: - simple and easy, there is a staff available after hours so that was very convenient for us as we were traveling with a child and arrived after their working hours

- We had issues with housekeeping, when they came our apartment was not cleaned, they only picked up the rubbish and made the bed. We complained about it and the staff was quick to respond and later housekeeping came back to clean our apartment - small issue but our window was facing an office building so we had to close our curtains the entire time for privacy so the room got a bit dark. The view you get depends on which apartment you book so if you want a nice view best to ask before booking - small issue but lighting is a bit dim for me - it would be nice if the apartment provided salt and pepper so we didn’t have to buy our own as we didn’t end up using much of it during our stay

The location was excellent and only a 12 minute walk from Southern Cross station. The unit itself was self contained with a large living area, kitchen and fridge. The bed is a king size and very comfortable. I was surprised to see a bathtub in the bathroom. Woolworths and Coles were less than a 10mins walk, so I bought some essentials such as cereal, bread and milk. I had lunch or dinner at many of the restaurants or hotels, which are a few minutes away. The hotel is located in a very quiet area far enough away from the busy end of Melbourne. There was no passing traffic and no noise, yet it was so close to many of the restaurants, hotels, casino and Marvel stadium. These are all walking distances of no more than a 15 minute walk.

This hotel was a great find and there was nothing that I would change.

Nice big room comfortable seats and a very comfortable bed nice shower as well and it's in a great location

If you get there before 1500 they get a little upset

late check-in time, and we weren't able to store our suitcases first

We really enjoyed our stay at Melbourne Suites. The team were super friendly. They helped us to check in early and couldn't have been more helpful. The location is ideal – it's so easy to walk to everything you need. The rooms are also huge. For the cost, it's significantly better than other options you'll find in the area.

The only downside is the air conditioning. It seemed to have a mind of its own (you can't turn it off) and felt very dry on our throats. After four days, it was a little annoying. But a minor downside compared to how great this place is!

The room was spacious, with separated area for cooking & dining, and bedroom. Kitchen was adequately equipped to prepare simple meal. Condiments like oil, salt and pepper were not provided, but that’s wasn’t an issue for us. Bathroom was very spacious, stall for shower and bathtub. Toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand was, and lotion are provided.

Misleading, was not informed that it shared the same location as Mantra at Little Bourke.

The lighting. It was very poor,except for in the bathroom. The washer dryer combo. Too hard to work out how to use. A nice table and chairs would have been nice in the living room kitchen

The check in procedures if being done after 6pm and the request to send credit card details via email for the bond (which i didn't do). There needs to be another process to make it safer for guests.

I loved the location. It is perfect for getting around to see the sights of Melbourne. Easy aceess to public transport & walking distance to many places of interest. Lots of tourist information leaflets available in the main lobby. It was a very quiet suite, which for a 2 week stay really mattered to me. Especially as I was out all day enjoying Melbourne. Good kitchen facilities enough to cook up a few simple meals. The washer drier was very new and clean. It was nice to leave with all my clothes clean. A very modern bathroom with a separate shower cubicle as well as a bath. It looked as though it was recently refurbished. The bedroom has a double wardrobe, inside there was a chest of drawers. So plenty of storage. Also an iron & ironing board, fan & a blanket if extra warmth was needed. The lovely warm throw in the lounge was appreciated. However you have access to control the room temperature via a thermostat. You can request, clean towels, rubbish collection and tea & coffee replenishing on a daily basis. However I just picked tea up when I needed more from reception.

The room is cleaned every 4 days, which is very acceptable. However I think they need to change the wording of this to. The towels and bedclothes are changed and the rubbish removed. As I didn't see any signs of cleaning. As a single occupant I didn't have the need for vacuuming etc, as there was very little mess. I was just glad it was clean when I arrived.

Digital entry to the apartment was really convenient. The apartment was great. Very spacious with good facilities. Loved the seperate living areas with sofas and kitchenette. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Very affordable. Location in the CBD was extremely convenient with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

The room heating / air conditioning was not very responsive. We didn’t seem to be able to adjust it to our liking. No other concerns identified.
