Located in the heart of Ghent. Easy to walk to the canal and the Ghent attractions. Very close to tram stops to the university or the central rail station. My room was clean and had all the basics for a business stay. The bed was comfortable, and I had a good view to one of the nearby streets. The staff was extra nice and efficient. The breakfast was nice and quite rich. Also, from my room, I could hear the church carillion playing beautiful french songs.

I would like a larger TV set and more local options at breakfast. The price was high but (unfortunately) very reasonable compared to other options at Ghent.

We wanted a hotel with on-site car parking right in the centre of Ghent, so we could arrive at mid-day to spend the afternoon walking around Ghent centre, enjoy an evening meal a few minutes walk away, and leave early the following morning to drive to Calais . This hotel met, if not exceeded, all these expectations. It was easy to find using the SatNav reference provided by the hotel, and there was parking under the hotel. The hotel could not be better located for spending an afternoon, walking around the beautiful city centre of Ghent, and a choice of excellent restaurants a few minutes walk away. If, like us, you have a car you will need to apply beforehand for a clean air certificate which is easy and cheap to do. The hotel will arrange for the necessary permission to drive over the pedestrian only roads to reach the car park.

Nothing.

Very centrally located which is good if you travel with elderly people

If you have to check out at 12:00 it would be nice to have easy access to the bathroom afterwards. You needed a card to go get in there and when my mom asked to go, the lady at the desk was not really friendly about it. She let her in because she was an elderly women and said “ For this time it is ok” which is not very client friendly.

The location is perfect to explore Gent; they even offer a parking (€26/night) which we easily reserved beforehand via the booking.com messaging tool. The response was insanely quick! Upon arrival we were allowed to check in a bit earlier (around 2PM) which was most welcome after a 6 hour drive. The room was basic but had everything you need; clever usage of the small space. Our plug sockets unfortunately didn’t work so only had use of 1 working one near the bathroom. Breakfast was really nice; had everything you needed to start your day.

The central location. It was possible to walk to a number of places . The public transport connections. The very friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the bar/ eating area. The generous buffet breakfasts. The lovely specially cooked pizza which was reasonably priced.. I would certainly return here if I re-visited Gent.

No tea or coffee facilities in the room. (There was water). The towels were a little small. (That is being picky though as towels were provided.

Comfortable bed, really good shower, wifi reception was great, the location would be hard to beat - surrounded by historical buildings and public gathering squares. Tram and bus lines right outside the door, 20 minute walk, flat walk no hills, from the train station.

A fridge of any size would have been handy, and the room was a little smaller than anticipated. We felt that the photos didn't represent that fairly. We have stayed in many European hotels and we understand that the rooms are smaller than Canadian hotels, but this room was just a bit tighter than anticipated. The hotel is in a busy area of town and if you're room is facing the square, the weekend nite noise could be a bit off putting, but the views facing the square are spectacular.

I absolutely loved the location of the hotel, which was perfect for exploring the city. Situated right next to St. Baafs Kathedraal, it made getting around incredibly convenient. Additionally, the staff were not only incredibly friendly but also very helpful, providing excellent recommendations and assistance whenever needed.

While my overall experience was positive, there were a few aspects that could have been improved. Firstly, the shower didn't drain the water properly, leading to accumulation on the shower base and eventually wetting everything. Additionally, it would be appreciated to have smaller towels available for the sink, as we found that the two big towels provided were insufficient for our needs in that area.

Location is the main plus here - just across the road from the cathedral, very central. The room is not big, but okay, bed is comfy. The staff is friendly and nice. Breakfast has all that you need, coffee is decent, and you can even bake waffles yourself

Weird choice of furniture - "young and modern" and all that I guess, the bed table with round corners is extremely not comfortable. The price is a bit higher than I would prefer for this room quality, but I guess it's the location you pay for.

For a budget price the room was immaculately clean, the shower room etc more than adequate, and it was all fresh looking and well sound-proofed. We had a lovely view over green back gardens. Staff were all delightful and helpful. Location A1*, right beside the Cathedral, but not busy or noisy. Comfortable beds

There was no kettle, safe or fridge in the room but for the price paid that was fine for us, just alerting other travellers to things which might matter to them.

The location couldn't be better, as it was right across from Saint-Bavo's Square and Sint-Baafs Cathedral. It was also two blocks from the tram we took from the train station. Also, the breakfast selections were outstanding and the seating area looked out on the square. Finally, the room was contemporary/modern, large with a separate seating area, desk, lights for each side of the bed, and a 'closet' with a place to hang clothes.
