We loved this location in Canmore! The views here are open to the mountains and it was an incredible view as we drove out of the accommodations. We took a road trip, so parking was important and the free available parking was great. The extra space was wonderful with the living area separate. Bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot. The onsite restaurant had Happy Hour and it was well attended. And it’s quiet so very restful when you’re there.

The living area is just as you enter the room, so it has no natural light. I moved the lamp over so it would put light on the coffee making area as it didn’t seem to have much lighting there.

We absolutely love the tasteful decor and furnishings with a modernized feel. The fireplace in the lobby set the tone as an inviting space. The beds were phenomenal and super comfortable. Location was super convenient from the highway and within walking distance to Canmore town. The sampler Nordic spa was such a great offering. Kudos to front office staff for offering free access when the instructor called out.

Biggest disappointment was the restaurant coffee. It tasted quite watery and the espresso machine was out of order for 2 days. They mentioned they don’t usually serve espresso unless it’s for martinis. Housekeeping missed the discoloration on the linen - pillow cases and bed sheets. Thankfully the rooms was serviced after notifying front guest. The shower curtain was too long causing the bottom to appear unclean. Front staff ladies were friendly but the one gentlemen was a little rude and didn’t speak much.

I loved the nice, specious, comfortable high ceiling superior king room with large window overlooking the mountains on both sides of the hotel. Room was vcery clean and had everything in good working order. Even the windows curtains were working smoothly. Heat pump was quiet and setup to maintain minimum temperature to prevent freezing in case if you completely turned off. Pretty rare in today's world. Bravo!

I didn't like that the information about the unfinished Wildwood Nordic Spa facilities which is still in a beginning stages of construction. Very uncleared. Also the hotel of this level deserved much better restaurant with more enjoyable dinning experience.

The MTN House is a gorgeous, new hotel surrounded by beautiful views. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms have such lovely attention to detail, from the Canadian Rockies postcard on display (that you can take) to the wooden laser cut room service placards as well as the soaps which were all made locally. The restaurant was very delicious although we only went for breakfast and the waitstaff were attentive and kind. I would definitely recommend staying here. It's so convenient and cozy!

This did not affect us, but the hotel is currently (August 2025) constructing what looks to be a stunning new spa area. They do warn about potential noise. Shower pressure is weak, which seems to be the fault of the shower head design itself. Probably could be fixed easily!

I really liked the decor of the room and lobby, the coffee and tea service available in the room, the bath toiletries were very nice smelling, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Due to construction at the hotel, our room was noisy, so we requested a room change, and the hotel front desk accommodated this request and moved our luggage to the new room for us while we were out sightseeing. So 10/10 for their flexibility and accommodations!

There is ongoing construction right now, which is leading to noise in some rooms, but the hotel was up front about this and accommodated our request to change our room.

I like that the check in and check out process are very swift and easy. The staff are friendly and accommodating especially when they helped with surprising our son with a birthday cake and candle. My sons loved the design and vibe of the hotel lobby, hallways and our room.

Maybe I was expecting that there will be a buffet breakfast because our family loves this. Nevertheless, the grab and go breakfast made it easier for us to prepare for check out. It could have been better as well if the room is a little bit bigger so my kids have more space to play around.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and day-to-day interactions very pleasant. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had a cozy feel — perfect for a comfortable night’s rest.

I did find the pricing to be on the higher side, especially given that breakfast wasn’t included in the rate. For the cost, I would have expected a few more amenities or at least a complimentary breakfast, which is fairly standard at similarly priced hotels.

- we asked for a quiet room and they accommodated - it was an anniversary trip and they left a really nice card and gesture - it’s a really nice hotel that feels cozy and welcoming (the scent off the fire in the lobby is to die for) - beds are comfortable - good shower/tub - coded door rather than keycard - Well organized and laid out - coffee/tea selection - chrome cast ability on tv is great

- better breakfast options would be appreciated - hot pool doesn’t accommodate enough people - microwave in room would be appreciated - dogs in some rooms were noisy

Location of the property is perfect. In and out of the freeway was a breeze. Room was not only comfortable but was surprisingly larger than my family and I expected. The layout of the room and property is great. The front desk staff was amazing. Shout out to Connie at the front desk for checking us in. She was patient, accommodating, friendly and kind.

The only knock I would give the hotel is the lack of a swimming pool. I know they are under construction with the Nordic Spa feature they are adding and we are excited to come back and stay here again in the near future.

Great hotel! Good atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Spacious rooms - great value for money at the time of the year I was traveling (February)

I did the whole trip alone without a car which works well if most of the activity are in Banff. For Canmore, public transport is not perfect for this location, but moving around without a car will get easier once the hotel adds rental bikes (I understood it will be in the summer of 2025)
