This was our best stay at a Super 8 by Wyndham. We have stayed at Super 8 locations across various states in the U.S., but this experience in Canmore was truly exceptional. It felt more like a 4-star hotel than a budget-friendly stay. The room, furniture, kitchenette, bathroom, breakfast area, and reception all looked new and luxurious. The location was especially breathtaking, with mountain views visible from both the front and back of the hotel and even from our room window. At first, we were concerned about the nearby rail tracks next to the parking lot at safely distanced but we didn’t hear any train sounds or whistles during our stay. In fact, watching a train pass by from the lot turned out to be a charming sight. The hotel’s location makes it a perfect base for exploring the area. The staff both the lady and gentleman at the front desk, as well as the room service team were kind, attentive, and helpful whenever needed. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a wide variety of options: hard-boiled eggs, spinach egg cakes, muffins, waffles, breads, spiced baked potatoes, yogurt, and more. While some items like beef weren’t part of our diet, we were still delighted by the generous and thoughtful spread. Overall, we were super impressed and would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone visiting Banff or Canmore. Banff is 15-20 minutes drive from this location. The surrounding mountains makes it unique place to stay and explore around.

Most things. Comfortable beds, normal bathroom, good kitchen facilities. They put only 3 sets of dishes, though we booked 4 persons stay. But the moment I asked the staff for more, the brought it. Normal breakfast. The Menu is very limited and minimalistic, but they try to vary part of it each day. Open accessible parking in front of the hotel.

We couldn‘t open the window for a fresh air. There is definitely ventilation system, but it bothered us and a smell from the cooking didn’t disappear, while we didn‘t cook with spices.

The breakfast was very good and its what y'all need when travelling to banff since we frequently travel from early in the morning with no time preparing for breakfast. Waking up in the morning with a great breakfast was such an amazing experince. Moreover, we had a very good quality sleep as the beds were very very comfy and I believe that is all we needed after an exhausting day. All the staffs were very very welcoming and kind, especially the midnight to early morning shift front desk. The location of the hotel is also quiet good. It is located a few minutes walk from roam bus stops and supermarkets. It is also only a few minute drive from trans canada highway.

Very nice hotel A spacious and modern room It was a rainy day so we arrived a little early at the hotel and the receptionist was nice and tried to help us get a room earlier he didn't succeed but he was nice and kept our luggage I didn't get to walk around the hotel, but the whole town is about a fifteen minute drive from Buff and about a 45 minute drive from Lake Louise

The breakfast is very poor. We have been in many hotels of this style and the breakfast can definitely be improved We found something to eat but it was the minimum required to say there was breakfast

I went in December and chose Canmore and this hotel to be able to explore the surroundings, and boy was it the right choice. Canmore is gorgeous. I hope to come back in the summer and stay at Super 8 again. The bed was the most comfy I have been in my life. The room and hotel were super clean. But they also respected my privacy. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety. Plus you could get hot drinks and water at any time of the day, no cost. The employees were always ready to help, especially the receptionist Athul. There was an indoor hot pool, but I forgot my bathing suit. Fireplace in Reception was very nice after coming from the cold.

The heating in the room is a bit noisy and the train passes behind the hotel, but it didn't bother me. It's about a 20 min walk away from everything. I would have preferred shower gel instead of soap. It would be nice to have a hotel bar at night.

Well equipped kitchenette, lots of room, nice bathroom, reasonably close to town centre. Efficient and quiet A/C. Plentiful parking. Breakfast was OK (though coming from Europe, the selection felt limited).

The hotel is right next to the train tracks, and while the noise isolation is good, you might still be able to hear the trains if you're sensitive to that kind of thing.

The Philippine man serving on Friday Dec 29 morning was amazing! His work ethic was excellent, he was very busy (it seemed like he was working alone doing cooking and serving and cleaning) he did it all with a smile and was very humble when I approached him to thank him for his work. I would return to this establishment because of him

The pillows, they are dead! I regretted not bringing my own pillow as hotels are a gamble when it comes to the comfort of pillows. I would Suggest upgrading your pillows to larger and fuller pillows that aren’t ‘dead’

Breakfast was good. Bacon one day, sausages the next and it had everything I needed for a good breakfast. I appreciated two elevators and they were super quiet so if you had a room near them it wouldn't matter. Bed was comfy.

Pillows were a little hard but nothing out of the ordinary. That is all I can say that is negative.

The facility was very clean, attractive, well appointed and a great location for trips to Banff and shopping locally. The whirlpool and fitness room were also very clean and a wonderful addition to the hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and served a nice continental breakfast each day in a well stocked cafe area. I highly recommend this hotel and location.

The price was high for what it was. Very noisy in the room with street traffic and people in the hallway. Breakfast bar wasnt kept stocked frequently enough, we were there for a short time in the morning before having to leave and there were no eggs and no coffee left for us at 7am
