This is an old hotel with very historic feel. Loved that feature! Lovely old railings and balconies with flowering vines galore! It is centrally located in the old city so very much a part of the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was good. Staff was the best. Always ready to help.

Because of it’s central location it was very loud at night. There are two hookah bars next to it that go til at least 2am. One of them has a rooftop that opens up so the music can’t be avoided! Requesting the right room is essential unless of course that’s your vibe! The pool is smack dab in the middle of the lobby, which is small, so it’s really not a place to relax. Lastly, it has a nice little rooftop area which would be great to enjoy but there were no chairs! The hotel overall is very dated. Needs a facelift. But the price reflects that.

The hotel is nice, cute, and Location is awesome! Breakfast is ok, but exactly the same every day. When I booked, my only request was to have a quiet room. However, in the first night, we had a room in the top floor next to a night club (rooftop), and music was loud until 5 am. The shower was not warm enough either. The bed was super comfy. We complained at the reception, and they immediately changed us to another room. The noise outside was much better, but the bed was terribly loud (like old). I apologized and asked to go back to the first room, which I slept a bit better. But they took us to a third room, which was perfect and we slept very well the 3 remaining nights. They were super kind all the time at the reception, helping us with the tours, etc etc. I recommend it, but it’s worth mentioning the rooms are very different from each other.

The property is really cute. It is a charming old colonial type of place. Very clean and the staff was wonderful. Helped us all out a lot planning excursions and anything we needed. They were lovely. The beds, however were a bit on the too firm side for us. We didn’t have any mosquito problems and the AC was terrific. Breakfast was delicious and it is included. It’s a really good value and is centrally located with a small indoor pool ans rooftop restaurant. Also, there is a lot of partying in Cartagena at night and can be quite loud but they gave us rooms that were shielded from the noise and we really appreciated that.

Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast and its location were very good and breakfast staff were excellent. Pool was refreshing. Standard double room, as advertised - no windows but OK size, quiet and cool, bathroom OK. Hotel location in the middle of everything, terrific.

Cannot recommend staying in the 5th floor rooms. They are misrepresented on the website. They are exposed to the heat, they are advertised as having a balcony and view, however the balcony is the outdoor walkway to all rooms, not a private one, and they do not have a view - you have to keep the curtains shut anyway for privacy. The bathroom was almost unusable, one metre wide, smallest I've ever seen. Also very noisy because of a discobar next door, until after 3am. After one night, we moved to the level 1 room, cheaper but better. The hotel is rated as 4 star, which it is not, more like 3 to 3.5 star.

The location is great, near historic buildings, walking distance to Getsemani (15 minutes), close to the port (10 minutes) if you're going to Rosario Islands. The hotel itself has a lot of charm (wood and plants), the staff was very helpful and allowed us to leave stuff in their storage when we went to Rosario for a couple of days. The little balcony was cute. We arrived by taxi, which probably takes longer than walking due to the foot traffic. We did a city tour and we found out the meaning of the name of the hotel.

Nothing to complain about. We knew we were going to be in the city walls, we knew there is a party going on every night. Bring ear plugs if you must. Cartagena is a fun city, people come here to have fun and dance.

It’s right next to a very noisy disco. In some rooms it’s not possible to sleep before 3:00 am. Make sure you get a quiet room. Then your stay will be pleasant.

The Hotel exceeded our expectations! It was really conveniently located - in the heart of the Old City, where we could safely walk for hours. The hotel staff was positive, could answer any questions or requests. I had an issue upon check out when I forgot one important item in the safe locker and administrator Oscar was able to send it quickly to me to the airport by taxi - not every hotel would do it! Help with the luggage, reservation of spa services, excellent breakfast - we got only positive moments there!

Great location inside the "Walled City". Close to many great restaurants. Easy to walk all around the city. Nice pool. Great staff, very helpful when our flight got canceled!! Wonderful breakfast buffet. Every room is different, old world charm, wood beams, brick walls. WIFI works good. New bar area on rooftop with lounge chairs and a hot tub....

Elevator not working all the time. They said they were fixing it.....

The hotel is in the middle of everything. Very comfortable for strolls around Cartagenas Oldtown.

The room looks a bit old fashioned.
