Staff at Reception and in Breakfast are were excellent. Breakfast was great.

The room was meant to be cleaned every 2nd day; in spite of putting our "Please clean me" sign on our door on day 3, it was not cleaned for 4 days in a row! After the first night we went and got fresh towels from reception but they had no teabags. The next day, we arrived back to the hotel to find that, again, our room had not been serviced....another trip to reception and the very nice man on duty emailed housekeeping and accessed teabags for us. Thankfully, next day we arrived back to a freshly serviced room and teabags!

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet considering its location. The filtered water dispenser in reception was a great find, but pity we didn't know about it until our second to last day. A bit of info in the room would have been great. We appreciated the UHT milk supplied in the fridge. Great hair dryer. The location was very good for where we had to be in Melbourne. Excellent service when checking out. A taxi was kindly ordered for us to take us to the airport and it arrived within one minute of it being booked!

At the breakfast, the hot water for tea drinkers was luke warm and I had to ask for it to be reheated. It would be better to have an urn so the water is constantly boiling to make a decent cup of tea. The pillows in the room on both beds were very flat. I needed to ask for an extra pillow at reception and the new pillow was equally flat. Another guest was also requesting extra pillows due to the same reason. There was no information in the room relating to hotel facilities, places to eat in the area, the tram network and things to see in Melbourne. As we don't come from Melbourne it would have been an enormous help.

I loved the friendly staff and the beautiful lady we checked in with, who was kind enough to waive our early check in fee and the fact we paid for one of the cheap rooms with a single bed and a double but instead we seemed to have been given an upgrade into a room with two double beds and the room looked to be a little bigger than our original rooms photos so both me and my friend who stayed with me were in shock but we are more than grateful for the generosity and kindness of the Ibis hotel staff for all of their work, honestly for my first time traveling back to my home city of Melbourne since I was a little kid I was already just happy to be home but the team truly made it more of a wonderful and memorable experience, they are all such angels truly made my week getting to stay there.

The only thing we struggled with was the aircon being temp locked so we weren't able to cool the room down on the hot days which unfortunately did make things a little uncomfortable but that's really the only downside we saw to the room, everything else was exceptional

The staff from the time we arrived were friendly and welcoming. We had booked the accommodation last minute due to another provider being unreliable and not being able to fill our reservation. Rooms were spacious. Hotel was quiet and peaceful. We had the buffet in the joined restaurant for breakfast, this was good value and options were plenty.

There wasn't any additional bedding in the rooms for the sofa couch based on the number of guests booked. I'm sure this could have been requested however our stay was short and made do with the facilities.

Room was clean. hsekeeping neat. bed was having clean sheets, Location was v convinient as trams were easinlya available and it was tram fare free zone.upto flinders on one side. we went to phillips island penguin show and the bus picked us up from the hotel itself. Soo nice as we did not have to travel far off to take the bus. drop also at hotel itself past midnight.

The menu for breakfast was essentially a NON-VEGETARIAN MENU. very difficult for us as vwe are PURE VEGETARIANS- NO EGGS ALSO. The menu had almost no veg. items. we had to go to svarnah bhuvan for food or desi dhabba near flinders for food. The hotel should seriously look into this matter. Lastly now we have ckd in at in IBIS at Sydney darling harbour We are not getting any loyalty benefits. i am classic member of ACCOR too recently. I expect some benefits like complimentary breakfast for at least 3 days or so. or may be a small drink bottle of whiskey .hope you take a quick call during our stay upto sunday 22nd jan.

The breakfast was great, but overall it was the staff that created such an exceptional experience. Everyone was friendly and accomodating, from housekeeping to reception, the staff were so receptive and friendly. Will definitely stay again when in Melbourne next.

If we had to search hard to find a problem, the air conditioning seemed a little dusty. My partner travels much more than I do, she found it caused her to cough a little bit. After spending some time in the room, I then found the same with myself. Look overall it wasn’t enough to create a poor experience.

It is literally across the road from the Vic markets and the end of the free tram zone so location is fantastic. There is a supermarket and chemist within 200 metres plus loads of restaurants. The check in process was easy and the one bedroom room as sufficient for our needs. The bed was really comfortable and the tv remote was easy to use.

The parking is very tight. We saw a staff member in tears as she couldn't not get out of the parking lot. I have a small mercedes and was only just able to navigate getting out and I am an experienced driver. don't bother with a 4wd, not worth the stress. Also $35 per night is a bit pricey considering having so many options around but it is convenience. The pillows were pretty awful, flat and blah. there was one extra one and with that it was barely ok. no power points in the bedroom. no shampoo/conditioner, just a gel for hair and body??

It was relaxed and reception staff were lovely and helpful.

The breakfast was average. The staff were not very well trained and could not speak English so they didn’t understand we would have liked to purchase coffee rather than have coffee from an automatic machine. And I felt that the coffee made fresh could have been included as the staff were just standing around talking anyway. (I don’t think they wanted to make the coffee) when I offered to pay they still directed me to the do it yourself machine. I grew up in Melbourne and even in the sixties Melbourne was all about the coffee 🙃 The heating in our room could not be adjusted so we were either very hot or very cold. It was the first place I have stayed at that never had complementary bottled water, so we had to walk down the street at night to find some to brush our teeth with.

Great location, fairly close to lots of melbourne attractions! we were given a free upgrade due to some issues with the room initially booked! the room was clean, comfortable and perfectly sized! I would like to add, the gentleman at reception, i believe his name was Chris, was extremely helpful, super friendly and made our stay so much better.

Besides the pressure in the shower being a little to light, everything else was perfect!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 1BR self-contained apartment. The room was clean, and spacious. Comfy, king-size bed. Microwave, and kitchen utensils were provided. Free wi-fi. Great location ... a 1-minute walk to Victoria Market; and being located in the CBD, you can explore the whole city from there. Definitely staying here again when I'm next in Melbourne.

The interior is a little old, and worn; but it wasn't a problem for me.
