Breakfast was excellent, the decor is great, location is fine. I appreciated the cups in the room and teas on offer, and the staff were attentive.

Funny smell coming from bathroom drain, the sauna was broken (this should be noted for advertisements and when renting out rooms! This is a factor on where I book, and I would have booked a place with a sauna! Bread was also frozen and had been heated at breakfast- but was still frozen when served at the bread area and we had to tell staff. This is a no-no! I expect more from Germany and from a place that has some sort of Michelin review for its night restaurant.

We had booked an apartment in this hotel and were extremely pleased with it. We had let them know we were traveling with our dog, and they had provided an extra towel, mat and food and water bowls for him. The room was very clean, the kitchenette was small but had everything we needed, the shower was good. The room looked out over the courtyard which was lovely. Staff was friendly, and we had the use (paid) of a nearby parking garage which was very useful.

The location is acceptable - easy to get to the city center on foot and not itself a bad neighbourhood, but a few streets to the North there was clear evidence of public drug use and a rather large homeless population. I did not feel unsafe but was a bit worried about my dog picking up/accidentally eating something that might be dangerous to him.

Not too far from the train station and city centre. Off the main street, so it is quiet. The room was spacious and had an additional sitting area which was very nice. The staff was very nice and the gentleman in the morning was especially helpful and knowledgeable( sorry I didn't get his name), especially because he was Cologne native. We were lucky to have him on both days of our stay and that made our experience ever so enjoyable

There was construction going on and the cab left us about 100 metres away in a healthy drizzle and an uneven surface to wheel our luggage. The adjacent diner closed at 9 pm and we had to find an alternative, which, however, was not too far. The elevator was very small and slow and we had a long wait when we were checking out, especially because the hotel staff were also busy and that appeared to be the only elevator in the property.

The check in process was super easy, the lady at reception was very friendly and even upgraded our room which we really appreciate! Our 3 night stay was pretty peaceful and relaxing, with birds outside singing throughout the day!

The shower water pressure fluctuated at times, but that's likely due to the building infrastructure being older so that is understandable. We left one of our cards in the holder when we left so as to charge a device and upon return we realised that housekeeping had removed it AND taken it away without notifying us. This was troubling as my partner smokes and used that 2nd key to do so off-site. The hotel itself is further outside of the city center than I'd originally anticipated, but not a negative.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We asked for a room big enough for a cot and accessible by lift due to having a young child. The hotel was very accommodating of our request and I think may have even upgraded our room to accommodate our request, so thank you very much. The room was very nice, very comfortable bed, great TVs and good facilities with a coffee machine and mini fridge. The bathroom was also very nice.

We didn't really like the area where the hotel is, with a few rough people on the streets at night. It wasn't far to walk to the Kolner Dom though. We also paid for parking but this could only be accessed by using an access card from the reception which you had to return after each use. The reception was only manned until 10pm so this meant that you couldn't access your car after this time which wasn't ideal.

Absolutely fantastic experience! This lovely hotel felt like an oasis on an overly hot day in Cologne. If I could, I would simply stay in the room all day. The temperature inside was just perfect—not sure how they did it! Everything was impeccable: great amenities, great size of the room, beautiful design. A complementary water bottle. The staff was also extremely helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and from the looks of it, the restaurant downstairs seemed to be fantastic too. You can get jellies at the reception :)

Fridge in the room only works with the entry card inserted. If you plan to have something stored, I recommend you’d request a separate card to keep in the room at all times.

We had a fantastic stay at Classik Antonious Hotel in Cologne! Our standard double room was more spacious than expected, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained, making it a truly comfortable place to unwind after exploring the city. The location was perfect—within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit, which made getting around incredibly easy. But what really stood out was the exceptional staff—everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. For the level of comfort, service, and location, this hotel offers excellent value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Cologne. Highly recommended!

Just a note for future guests: During our stay, there was construction work directly opposite the hotel, and they started quite early in the morning. However, this is completely out of the hotel’s control and did not affect our overall experience.

Approx ten mins from the centre of Cologne, close to a number of bars, restaurants and shops (Em Kolsche Boor is excellent for food and drink, and is a short walk away). The staff are pleasant and friendly and the dining area and courtyard are really lovely.

At the time of writing, the adjacent property is a building site, and this means that you are woken to the sounds of construction at around 7am daily. This is obviously somewhat dependant on the room you are allocated, and is not something the hotel has any control over (just something to be aware of).

Friendly staff, beautiful views from hotel windows, nice breakfast spread, good central location!

- bathroom only had hand wash, body lotion and shampoo. This is a strange thing as all hotels nowadays provide a shower gel and hair conditioner also. Just strange having to use hand wash instead of shower gel & not having conditioner leaves hair super frizzy! - considering not the whole room is carpeted, it is strange slippers are not provided -lastly, we stayed 3 nights and our room has not been cleaned even one time during this time! Which is really very odd. Most hotels of this standard offer daily cleaning in my experience…

The staff were great, so welcoming and super helpful with directing us around the city and things to see, where we could catch boats or where local flohmarkts were being held. They also let us store our luggage before and after checkout. We knew about the construction site prior to our stay so that wasn't an issue for us and we enjoyed seeing how they worked. Beautiful courtyard, would love to see the hotel in summer. Great location close enough to the city, within walking distance and lots of nice suburbs to explore too.

Room was a little unclean. Broken plug in bath which was a bit sharp. Also the step out of the bath to the bathroom floor was very extreme in height, would definitely be an issue for olders guests and could lead to accidents, it caught us both off guard as the difference in levels isn't usually as big as this.
