This was great value for money. It was a small room on top floor but fine for me for 2 nights. There was a working lift. I even had a view of the Dom towers from my windows! I also had a TV, desk & chair. Hangers and shelves for clothes. The location has many food & drink place right outside the hotel on the river, some with great river views. Considering how close the hotel is to these venues my room (facing away from the river) was really quiet. No street noise at all, just a distant rumble of metros going over river bridges, but not disturbing). Ten minutes walk from main train station and the Dom. Very close to Old Town for walking & sightseeing. Tip: I found the tram from Heumarkt more user friendly to get into the centre rather than the Metro from the main station (I found the Metro confusing).

The room was small for some, but fine for me. The guy on reception was a bit grumpy - I was offered no maps (which i found were available on day 2), but the guy when I left was pleasant.

We arrived in Köln, and found a parking garage very close to the hotel. A few minutes walk brought us to the narrow entrance to the hotel, where we were met our concierge. We were able to access our room with an elevator. The room was small, but well appointed. There was no air conditioning, but we were provided with two fans. Bathroom was nicely appointed. The location of the hotel was outstanding! we were right on the river front of the Rhine, with lots of outdoor seating for a large variety of restaurants. It was not raining, so lots of people were enjoying the afternoon at the park and restaurant. We had a lovely view of this from our room. We were able to order a lovely breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is small, with narrow hallways and small elevator. The pictures of the site made it look grander than it is, but our family really like the hotel.

The location is excellent and the price is so cheap this hotel is in the heart of the action and if you want food from on site which we did not there is room service and breakfast options available. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a family superior and we had the window open all night due to the hot weather and didn't hear any noises all night ! Yes there might be a few marks on the walls or a couple of cracked tiles but the rooms are clean and what more do you want for the prices they charge ! Perfect for an over night stay will be staying again on my next visit.

Could do with some minor updates and re tiling in bathroom and a lick of fresh pain on walls.

Great location close to restaurants, cathedral, train station and other amenities. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel listed parking at the hotel, however the parking is at a close by location, public parking underground. 18 euros as described. We were traveling on motorcycles and they would not allow motorcycle parking in the underground car park so they recommended leaving the bikes out the front of the hotel, which wasn't ideal but the bikes were ok as it's a busy area. But it still left us apprehensive about leaving them there. You would be fine if arriving in a car.

I only which I’d discovered this little darling of a place at the beginning of my trip, rather than at the end. It was a completely random booking online for a place to stay on the last night of my trip around Germany as I had a flight from Cologne airport the next day. Easy to find and in an absolutely BEAUTIFUL location right on the river next to the cathedral. I had a single room on the top floor. Check in was quick and easy and the lift saved me 4 flights of stairs which was super useful. The room made me smile as soon as I opened the door. You can immediately see and smell the cleanliness of the place the moment you arrive. My room was gleaming and smelled absolutely gorgeous. This is a family run hotel that is clearly loved and taken care of. I had a single room which was really big. It had a huge window letting in lots of light, full wardrobes, a superb bathroom and shower with lots of hot water and most importantly, the comfiest bed that I slept in for my entire trip. I wish so much that I had found this place first! I had the best nights sleep here of my entire trip and would recommend this hotel to anyone in Cologne. I’d also rather give my money to a local family run business than a large chain. I can absolutely promise that you’ll love this place. It’s like being at home, whilst you’re away. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I look forward to my next visit!!

Great location, a few minutes from the main attractions. The breakfast was very good and with view of the river, but not included in the price. The staff was very polite and helpful. We came a day late, because our flight was delayed and they kept our room.

It was a bit warm in the room. There is just a fan, not a AC. At night the temperature was fine. The shower was clean but very small. Not a very good view from the room.

Great location in old town Cologne. Close to the train station and Cathedral. Restaurants available downstairs we grabbed a takeaway pizza getting in late one night, so convenient. Room was good size, clean facilities, bed comfy. I do love the 2 single doona covers europe does, my husband never complains of me stealing the blankets.

No temperature control. Okay for us it was a cooler few nights. They do supply a fan and we left the window open. You can hear the resturants downstairs but they weren't to loud for us.

Excellent location. I was early for check in but the staff helped me, gave me my key early and allowed access to the room so that I could at least leave my bags and get changed before heading out for the day.

The restaurant connected to the hotel. Unhelpful staff busy chatting away instead of taking my order during a quiet time and the food was highly average. I'd have usually opted for somewhere else but it was late and options were limited, but this isn't a reflection on the actual hotel.

Very good location: just a few minutes of walk from Central Station. I have got a room with a river view. All other most popular touristic attractions were also located in walking distance. Room was small, good enough for one night. The restaurant downstairs serves cocktails, food and a relatively good breakfast. Because of the restaurant, it was noisy, and also due to the absence of AC in the room it was impossible to kee the window open the . However, the hotel provided a small ventilator and it was the good solution.

This cute and cozy little hotel is located very conveniently overlooking the Rhine. The view on that side is great, and the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. We arrived early but could already go up to our room and leave our stuff there. The rooms have everything you need, including basic toiletries. The WiFi worked great during our stay, too, in contrast to some of the other reviews. The location is ideal for exploring the city. It's within walking distance to some of the major tram/metro locations and the central train station, as well as to the Dom.

While lovely, the hotel is starting to show its age. It's not dirty or unclean, but there are some stains here and there, and small holes in the carpet, stuff like that. The beds in our room were also just a little bit sagged and I could see some springs sticking out through the bottom of the bed. Some of the lights were not working, either, but there are so many lights in the room that this is not an issue at all. Nothing major though. This place is excellent value for the prices they ask, especially considering the location.
