A very nice place, friendly staff, not too far from a central metro station. I took the “cozy” room and it indeed was cozy, bed was comfortable. On Saturday evening they had a loud party at the lobby which was nice and did not interfere with the guests who wanted to sleep since the noise was successfully blocked (at least on the 4th floor where I stayed). Stayed 4 nights, took the breakfast only on the last morning- fairly good.

I checked in late at night and really wanted some drinking water when got to the room but they don’t have even a mini-bar, which was weird. The breakfast is a bit too pricey for its value.

This hotel... Man... Bloody brilliant! My girlfriend and I stayed for three nights at the Ruby Sofie Hotel, and what a treat! Excellent room at a brilliant price, nice and varied breakfast, and a staff so much on our wavelenght, I can't praise them enough! The hotel itself is cozy with an almost familiar feel. A nice and inviting open bar/reception/breakfast area, wirh an industrial feel and jazz-club-like decor. Brilliant drinks and a nice, tasty and varied continental breakfast to boot. The staff is so very nice and inviting, no pomp and circumstance, just good people, who seem to like making the guests feel at home and joking around. And, understanding german quite well, I have only praise for them... I heard them talking about my girlfriend and me and saying we look so happy together. They are, of course, correct, but having overheard my share of rotten attitudes, it was an immense pleasure encountering the lovely people of Ruby Sofie. The room itself, a nest room, was excellent! The open plan shower gives it such a unique feel and atmosphere. I can't praise it enough. Luxurious, industrial, and elegant, romantic and "rough", all at the same time. That, combined with a focus on sustainability, for me means, that I'll recommend the Ruby chain of hotels, at the Ruby Sofie in particular, to anyone who'll bother to listen to my recommendations. The location is excellent as well. Within walking distance of the old, Imperial city centre, close to U-Bahn and shopping aplenty, should one be so inclined.

We chose Ruby Sofie for a one-night stay in Vienna, as we had an early flight the next day. We picked this hotel for its great location, competitive price, and strong reviews. The lobby, located on the first floor, is modern and welcoming. The check-in process was fast and fully digital — something we really appreciated after a long day of travel. There was a paid parking lot right next to the hotel for just €8 per day, which was very convenient. The hotel doesn’t offer an in-house kitchen or room service, but we were able to order food via delivery and comfortably eat in the lobby bar, where we also enjoyed a well-made cocktail. Our room was 17 m² — just right for our needs. The only downside was the L-shaped layout, with the bed placed in a corner, which made it slightly awkward to move from one side to the other. Still, everything was clean, modern, and well-kept. All amenities worked perfectly, and both the bed and linens exceeded our expectations for a hotel in this category and price range. After driving over seven hours from the Dolomites, it was the perfect place to rest.

The room layout was a little awkward but this wasn't a major issue at all.

I liked everything. The Ruby Sophie is a boutique in a chain, but there is no evidence of a big chain. Instead a small staff of 30-somethings (a few are even younger) give the hotel a vibe to match its unusual and eclectic decor. If you like there is a guitar available if you play. No restaurant but a copious breakfast at small tables tucked into nooks and crannies along the length of the long bar that defines the ground floor. There is even a balcony for alfresco dining in a Viennese November. The cheerful professionalism of the staff is contagious particularly on dank early winter Viennese mornings. The setting is the old diplomatic quarter of Vienna, an Indian and a Korean restaurant are a short walk with many choices beyond. Central Vienna is nearby but the setting is quiet. During my four day stay I heard and saw repeated examples of a staff that is knowledgeable and helpful to gusts and is consistently upbeat. The staff and the distinctively quaint setting are an unusual match. And yes the place is made for a romantic getaway as well.; there were many couples to underline that choice.

No complaints but keep in mind that a boutique hotel does not normally offer a gym or pool (although a commercial fitness center shares the building with the hotel). No banquet or business facilities fitting the Ruby Sophie's intimate nature. Wifi is powerful, fast, and free. The hotel is "cashless" which makes check-in and checkout (the latter is walkout) easier than I've every experienced

I really loved the decor of this hotel and surprisingly very good sound proofing! I didn’t even need the earplugs to sleep in.

Coffee machine, mini fridge, streaming service on the TV would make the room perfect, I think. During my stay, there was a boxing match going on in the theatre next door, and entrance was full of guys going for these matches. I felt a bit unease walking through the crowd into the hotel every time. I think the hotel entrance should have a designated entrance separate from the gym / theatre entrance. Upstairs was very well maintained with nice decor but entrance on GF was not so much.

The breakfast spread was really good and the bar very cool. The coffee station outside our room was welcome (although you had to be dressed to visit it!). We were lucky it was so close to our room. We liked our terrace.

The noise from the ballroom carried on until 3am one night which was very intrusive. The worst thing is the bathroom - there is none! There's no privacy - the sink is in the room, the shower is glass and only has a curtain on one side, but the worst is the toilet - the glass door offers no privacy - or sound-proofing at all.

The staff were brilliant, especially Lena. The buffet breakfast was very good and an added bonus was that the staff would willingly make you a speciality coffee, if preferred, included in the price. We found the hotel to be well situated, just a 15 mins walk from the town centre and the rooms were clean, bright and cosy and as described on the website. The coffee station along the corridor was also much appreciated with free tea and coffee and hot water, if needed.

Just a couple of small things, my room 539, didn't have a safe so I ended up using my friends safe in the room next door and neither of us could work out how to use the beautiful table lamps in the room. It was a shame that the hotel is attached to a large banqueting hall as the second night of the stay we could here the loud music, singing and presentations until 1 am in the morning so didn't have a good nights sleep. Putting this aside the hotel and its staff were great and we would definitely recommend the Ruby Sofie.

The room had everything needed. It was clean and the room had fresh decor. There was an excellent shower. It is in a great location and very easy to walk from and explore good areas for shops and cafes etc. It was nice to have cold water in fridge on arrival.

The price! It is at the more expensive end of accommodation options. Also, the limited tv channels available. It would have been good to be able to watch Netflix for example. The tv was mostly dubbed which is not so enjoyable for an English speaker.

Spacious room (Lovely Room booked), clean, great shower/sink/mirrors. Good air conditioning that could be adjusted easily. Staff were really friendly, they were availabe in 24 hour reception/bar on the 1st floor but otherwise hardly saw them as lift was accessed using room key to go straight to room floors. Tea/coffee point on every floor, well stocked. Not ideal location for city centre and sight seeing but easy to get to via the Vienna Mitte station... however perfect locaction for me as I was attending an event in the ballroom of the hotel.

The shower floor was slippery, have suggested to the hotel they provide matts. It will be an easy fix, but otherwise used one of their towels instead.

I loved the room. It was a perfect size for me. The guitar amp in my room was a nice surprise and I enjoyed picking a free guitar from reception and taking it back to my room to play. There was also two roof terraces on my floor which were sun traps. The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to take care of me when I wasn't feeling well. The three girls were very kind and made me feel reassured as a solo traveller that I was not alone. I would love to say a big thank you to them and wish I could remember their names. I would definitely return to this hotel.

I arrived late at night and got a bit confused about how to find the reception as I hadn't realised the hotel was connected to a shared area with a gym. I walked past the hotel thinking that there would be a separate door for hotel guests only. I probably would have noticed the signs if it hadn't been so late and dark.
