Location was great. Awesome staff

Would have preferred a better room view. Never saw housekeeping. Was told they come every other day.

We came to San Antonio for the Alamo. It was a 3 minute walk from our hotel room to the Alamo. Our room was clean, comfortable, with 2 nice beds, and clean and spacious bathroom, and it was quiet. The breakfast and our dinner at the onsite cafe was everything we wanted. The hotel staff and cafe staff were quite helpful and friendly.

The only thing I had a small problem with was connecting to the free Wi-Fi with my personal laptop. But, Angel, one of the desk clerks helped am understand that it was my laptop "didn't like" the Wi-Fi. I simply used my cell phone as a hotspot, and it worked as needed for my personal use. So it really wasn't much of a problem after all!

Location was perfect for us as we were attending a convention next door. It was very close to the River Walk without actually being “on”the river.

Breakfast procedure was a bit intimidating. We did not receive our voucher upon check in. The first morning I felt we were accosted by the women running breakfast, not even allowed a roll. I had to go back to our room, get my printed confirmation showing that breakfast was included in our reservation, stand in line at the check in desk and pick up our voucher. Whatever you do, don’t go down to breakfast without your voucher!

Location is unbeatable ....just out the door and down to the riverwalk or over to the Alamo....La Panaderia just down the block and Voodoo donuts in the same building....Room was big with a comfy king sized bed...breakfast was good (though with all the options in the area, might have been better to get without the breakfast package)

Coffee in the lobby had very little taste....Parking with the hotel is $42...but there is a good parking garage just 2 blocks away where it never cost us more than $9....didnt have in and out, but for $27 vs $84, definitely the way to go.

Jonathon: He was the most welcoming person possible, he helped with a few minor questions but then he and I became a bit animatedd over my need for a liquor store. He pointed me in the right direction but the next morning when we checked out he asked, " And where's mine." He was always attentive, informative and has a charm...a bit of humor that made him a major part of our memory of being at your property. Give him a boost ... at least a special thank you ... he is special.

The views and pool!

The washer it didn’t seem to work as good as a I expected with the soap I put in. I didn’t see no soap at all just a little bit a water. & mostly what I did not like was when a staff member was rushing us out the pool standing right in-front of us rushing us so we can get out! We knew the pool closed at 10 and was going to be out right at 10 he was there 10 15 min prior just standing there watching us waiting for us to get out. It was very uncomfortable!

The valet could have been better. When we checked out at 5:45am, it took the valet about 40mins to get us our car. I had to go up to the lobby twice to ask about my car.. the lady at the front desk had to give valet my name like 3 times and then had to give them the description of the car before the valet guy could find it. I was already waiting for 30mins at that time. Lucky I'm someone who like to leave early and didn't miss my flight because of this 40 min. Delay.

The room was a nice size, quiet, and clean. The bathroom (shower only) was ok too. The lobby was on the 1st floor and nice. The staff was pleasant but didn't try too hard to impress. The balcony/terrace off the lobby level was sunny and lovely. The location was great! All in all a good place to stay.

For nearly 300$ a night, I expected a fancier interior. The main entry door on street level was locked at all times and there was no sign to indicate we needed to enter from the side. The elevator was slow, and one of out of service for a day. The staff was not rude, but not too welcoming either. The entry area on street level was not too inviting.

From the beginning of arriving the valet staff was wonderful, Damien was the gentleman that greet it us and was very informative and his customer service was on point!!! The front desk agent named Marquee was also very friendly helpful and informative his customer service was excellent, I would recommend and will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk again in my future trips to SA!! Breakfast Buffet was also a plus the ladies and the chef Rene were wonderful and the food tasted amazing!! Can’t say enough about my experience. It has definitely topped my stays at many hotels near this one and I’m glad I made my reservation here.

I loved everything about this property!!!

Good location, very close to Riverwalk.

Although there is a warm breakfast served, it is exactly same everyday. It is ok for short stay, but one week is too long if having breakfast at the hotel. Housekeeping service is poor. Only towels changed and trash emptied. Not even floor cleaned nor bed made up. Not 4 star standard we are used to.
