My second stay here. It is quite convenient. For a hostel it is very comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly, facilities are working well.
In principle nothing. But the second half of the week, there was a school or so on my floor. This impacted the cleanlyness extremely. So, smelle of Axe deos and toilet paper all over to floor. But not the hostel to blame. Still, even though everybody needed bathrooms at roughly the same time, it was possible. However, in the shower, I strongly suggest to add some installations to hang your cloths. If you take them in the shower, they're all wet, outside, they disturb the others...

Eurohostel Helsinki turned out to be a solid choice for budget-friendly accommodation in the city. The hostel offers a good variety of rooms – from dorms to singles and twins – so you can choose depending on your budget and comfort level. I found it well located in Katajanokka, just a short walk or tram ride to the center and main sights. There are tram stops right outside, which makes getting around very easy. Despite being a hostel, it’s quiet and peaceful, with decent soundproofing that ensures a good night’s rest. The lockers are large and practical, which is especially handy if you’re traveling with a big backpack or suitcase. For value in Helsinki, Eurohostel is hard to beat. Prices are reasonable compared to the city average, and you even get some nice extras. The free morning sauna (7–10am) was a fantastic bonus and something very Finnish to enjoy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to give tips about the city and transport. Breakfast was available as a buffet – quite basic, but enough to start the day. If you’re planning to enjoy the nightlife, the hostel is also in a walkable distance to bars and clubs, plus Helsinki has night tram/bus lines to get you back safely if you stay out late. Overall, a reliable, affordable, and comfortable option in Helsinki. Great location, helpful staff, and some unique perks like the sauna make it stand out, even if the breakfast could be more varied.

Great location for the Viking ferry terminal and not too long a walk into town. Facilities have everything you need, and it was nice that a table, shelves and chairs were included in the room as well as the bed and wardrobe.
Zero soundproofing between the rooms so if you’re unlucky and next to loud people you will hear everything they say (bring earplugs). The communal showers don’t have locks on the cubicles - why was that even an option when installing them?! No one wants that! And the showers only have hooks for your towel etc on the outside of the cubicles and minimal space to get changed.

Excellent location - within 3 minutes walk from the Viking terminal. Very convenient if using that line. Can walk to the old town and Market Square within 10 to 15 minutes - straightforward and easy to get there. Also to get to West Terminal 2 for the Tallink ferries to Tallinn, walk to the tram stop opposite the Viking Terminal so within 3 minutes walk then catch tram 7T and it takes you straight there. No very early morning trams 7T ie before 7am. Room was comfortable though basic. WiFi was good. Staff allowed me to store my bag before checking in as got there too early. Bathrooms are clean and so are the toilets. I would recommend this hostel and it is very convenient.
The shower wasn't hot enough - just lukewarm. Chairs at the reception aren't comfortable so nowhere to sit and wait comfortably..

The hostel is very close to the city centre and it can be reached in about half an hour. The harbour for the ferries to Suomenlinna is even closer (just about 10-15 minutes from the hostel). Moreover, the hostel is well connected by public transport, too. Two tram lines have their stops in front of it (lines 4 and 7). There is also a supermarket of the K chain not far away, and the Orthodox church (which is one of the most important sightseeing buildings in Helsinki) is very close too. Everything was very clean: the corridors and the kitchens, the room, and the toilets. The beds are comfortable and the mattress, the pillow and the duvet were washed and very clean too. The linens were perfect, too. To sum it up, the cleanliness (which is the most important thing, at least from my point of view) was on a top level. The space in the room is more than enough for two visitors for short stays. There is a shelf and a big wardrobe, and a chair for each of the guests, as well as a shared table. Each bed has its own night light, with two power outlets. There are blinds on the window if one has problems sleeping when the outside is not completely dark. When I booked the hostel, I thought that it was a little bit expensive, but after spending three days in Helsinki and seeing how high the cost of living is there, I think now that the price is very reasonable for what it provides - a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and a convenient location. I can only recommend it.
There is no kitchen on every floor, but I think this is a minor issue because the kitchens on the 4th and 5th floors weren't busy.

The hostel is placed in a very charming area on Katajanokka peninsula, surrounded by historical buildings. Easily accessible by tram, but also within 20 min walk from the city center and the railway station. Rooms are clean and pretty cozy, if a bit too cold. Convenient lighting and electric outlet placement near beds. Clean shower and bathroom areas. Sauna included in the stay was a pleasant surprise!
Kitchens are pretty small, there is not much table space for several people to sit at simultaneously. I tried several shower cabins during my stay, and in half of them water temperature does not seem to respond when you adjust it with the knob.

Eurohostel is great value for money: even a basic shared room has plenty of storage space with lockable wardrobes and a set of shelves, as well as comfortable shared lounges and kitchens with plenty of space in the fridge. Sauna is also included. The staff are friendly, there is a laundry room and luggage storage available to visitors. The location is excellent in a quiet residential neighbourhood with the city centre only a short walk away, convenient public transport links and multiple supermarkets nearby. All the facilities were clean and in good shape and the room was warm. Birdsong recordings playing in the bathrooms were a nice and quirky touch.
The kitchens could be better equipped and there was no way of regulating the temperature in my room apart from opening the window.

First impressions with the place and the staff were really friendly, even let me check in early which was a life saver. Loved how the bed were set up for pairs in room instead of multiple bunk beds, interesting set up however I did appreciate not being crowded into a room. Bathrooms and showers were kept up regularly and all communal areas had a welcoming vibe. Appreciate the extent this place goes to combat environmental impacts, it really made a positive difference in my perception on this place! Will definitely be staying here again!
Location was a little far to the “centre” however the 10-15 minute walk, isn’t really that bad if you consider all the highlights around!

Eurohostel is a big hostel close to Helsinki city centre. A few tram lines serve the area and will take you to the Market Square in 5 mins and to the Central Station in 15. Facilities are clean and well equipped. Full size kitchen with all appliances, comfortable lounges and also a sauna on the top floor. Receptionists and staff were also very friendly and professional. Huge thumbs up for the efficient laundry service.
It was a great stay for the price.

The staff were fantastically helpful on everything I asked, timetables, tickets, stamps, you name it - they sorted me out. They even gave us really thoughtful commentary on how to use the hostel sauna which was appreciated by sauna novices! The room was great value for money with a nice space for table and chairs. The morning sauna session was fantastic and I am a total convert.
Not a lot to improve at all really - the only thing i could think of - and its being really picky - because no hostel really does this - is a slightly better organised kitchen set up . Eg- have each kitchen colour coded and have a basic set of coloured tools that you know belong to that kitchen - a couple of decent knifes and a measuring jug are always brilliant extras in a hostel kitchen - but so rarely there. But the fact there was a wide selection of crockery and pans was definitely appreciated.
