Upon arrival, we were allowed to leave our luggage until it was time for check-in. Check-in and check-out is totally done solely using a tablet. We got a studio apartment and it was huge, with two arm chairs, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker. The biggest surprise though: two huge wardrobes. The bathroom was impressive too, with beautiful tile and a superb shower. The place was impeccably clean. You can rent a hair dryer from a common service facility, using the keycard. The building had a sauna, even though we didn't use it. There were also games and movie room and a common kitchen downstairs. Cleaning is done every two days, so since we stayed for only two nights, the room wasn't cleaned (it was needed any way). The location is about 20 minutes from the main train station, but we didn't mind that. Had a couple of good night's sleep as the beds were comfy.

Really being picky here, no end tables near bed.

Great location, everything was in very close distance, about a ten minute walk from the city center. Close to two supermarkets and to tram stops. The room was very warm, clean and cosy with everything you would need and an extra comfy bed. The kitchen in the room was fully equipped with even a dishwasher. The breakfast was very good with many vegetarian options. Many common areas such as kitchen, game room, working space, sauna etc. The staff was friendly and helpful, they even prepared us breakfast the previous day as we had to leave early the next morning and we would miss the breakfast hours. The check-in was easy, as well as the luggage storage.

In order to go anywhere inside the building you need your key card (you can't even access the elevator without it), so if you loose or forget your card, outside of the office hours you had to pay a lot of money to help you get in your room again or wait until ten in the morning for the staff to help you. This actually happened to another visitor who I met there. That's great for safety but things like that happen. Also not exactly a disadvantage but the room didn't have a TV. The breakfast even though was very tasty it was a bit repeated if you stayed for many days. Lastly, in order to get in touch with the staff you had to try many times, even though they answered eventually.

We stayed as a group of 10 people (8 students and 2 teachers), and what we liked the most was having access to the common spaces such as the game room and the meeting room — a great bonus for group activities. The rooms were very clean, with cleaning service every two days and linen changes every five days. The studio apartments were well-equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent — within walking distance to all major historical and touristic attractions, and only a 5-minute walk to the harbor, which is great if you’re planning any additional trips by sea. Lastly, the hotel organizing social events on specific days was a lovely surprise. We joined the “Upscaling DIY” activity and had a great time creating new designs throughout the night.

Noli Studios has two buildings in Katajanokka; we stayed in Building II. While the main building has a 24/7 security guard, we would have liked to have one in ours as well. At times, we had issues like forgetting room cards, and resolving them took longer than expected. Although the hotel promotes a friendly and open atmosphere, it sometimes led to guests bringing in friends who disrupted the peace due to excessive drinking.

The location is perfect. It is just minutes walk from the nearest tram station No.4 and also easy to walk to the center of the town within 20 minutes. There is some supermarket in 3 minutes which is 24 hours open. The room is all equipped including kitchen tools such as a cutting board , knives, a pan,pots. The accomodation has free bike rental service. It was really nice though bikes are too big for me. There is a city bike rental spot within 7 minutes walk, which was very convenient for us. You can rent a bike in 10 Euros for 7 days, Visit HSL sigt!

Rental bike was too big for me. I wish I had smaller size! Also self laundry system doesn't work well. Some people don't respect schedule.

Well-equipped facilities

Easy out of hours self check-in process, communication in advance of the stay was great and gave us with all the information we needed to have a hassle-free stay at Noli, everything was clean and secure. There was an info booklet in the room that had all necessary details to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We asked for additional pillows, which were promptly brought up to the room while we were out. The location was great for exploring the city, there is supermarkets directly beside it as well as a tram stop.

Most of the guests here are professionals or students, great for meeting new people and networking. There are also families but not as many. It has a common kitchen and laundry facilites for guests to use. It says parking facility is not available on site but there is actually one at Eur 25 per day (cheaper rate for more days). I guess its a first come first serve basis due to limited lots. K-Supermarket is just a few minutes walk away. The accommodation is also within walking distance to the market square. From there, its pretty easy to stroll to the big shopping centres. On our last day, Patrik has very kindly assisted to book a big taxi for our 5paxs family with 3 big luggage. We left at about 8.45pm to the central train station and it cost us slightly less than EU30 as it goes by meter. Very good price as compared to the online transfer booking which could cost >50 euro onwards for such a big car.

There was no hairdryer provided in the room. They have a service centre at every level where you can borrow but there were only 4 available per level when there are like prob >20 rooms in 1 level. We didnt manage to get hold of one throughout our 3 nights stay.

Great location, right by the city center but still quaint and calm. Tram stop and a grocery store within walking distance. Also the ferry terminal is right around the corner so all in all very well positioned. The studio itself was well equipped, all cooking utensils looked brand new, there was even a drip coffee maker. A fridge, freezer, cooktop, microwave and even a full size oven. Nice decor, everything was highly functional and easy to use. Surprisingly spacious wardrobe and plenty of other storage spaces. Beds were great too, firm but comfortable.

It was quite cold in the room. The thermostat would only go up to 20 degrees and the ventilation could not be turned off so there was a constant flow of chilly air in the room.

Convenient location, especially if you’re travelling on the Viking ferries. Downtown is just a short ten minute walk. (The Katajanokka neighborhood is itself worth exploring. Gorgeous architecture!) My room was small but efficiently layed out — not as fully equipped as Noli's original hotel next door. Loved the communal kitchen off the lobby and appreciate access to the local gym. Two handy supermarkets and Alko liquor store nearby. Overall, the property has a cool youthful vibe.

My room faced an alley with noisy unloading trucks during the night. TVs are only available for an extra fee. Would be nice to have Netflix. Hairdryers and irons were not available.

The location is perfect. We were renting a car only for the Lapland and everything was reachable on foot or by public transport. The tram station is right next to Noli, so you can just hop in and be at the railway station in 5 mins. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was reachable. Overall, a good value for money, if we'd return to Helsinki, we'd sure rebook. Perfect for Tallinn trips as well since the Viking Line terminal is 5 mins away.

The bed could be bigger, it's a bit small for two people. Smoking isn't allowed on the terrace as well, amd the terrace is shared. I dislike cleaning fees if you don't allow cleaning. This is great for students, but not for people who would like to chill in their own home for a couple of days and wake up whenever. I thought this was a studio flat rather than a hostel-like situation, especially judging by the price. I also prefer self-check ins, but the check info was really thorough. Sauna, hair dryer etc. were a common good, which was differently advertised. The bathroom is instantly flooded when you take a shower.
