Upon arrival, we were allowed to leave our luggage until it was time for check-in. Check-in and check-out is totally done solely using a tablet. We got a studio apartment and it was huge, with two arm chairs, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooker. The biggest surprise though: two huge wardrobes. The bathroom was impressive too, with beautiful tile and a superb shower. The place was impeccably clean. You can rent a hair dryer from a common service facility, using the keycard. The building had a sauna, even though we didn't use it. There were also games and movie room and a common kitchen downstairs. Cleaning is done every two days, so since we stayed for only two nights, the room wasn't cleaned (it was needed any way). The location is about 20 minutes from the main train station, but we didn't mind that. Had a couple of good night's sleep as the beds were comfy.

Really being picky here, no end tables near bed.

Great location, everything was in very close distance, about a ten minute walk from the city center. Close to two supermarkets and to tram stops. The room was very warm, clean and cosy with everything you would need and an extra comfy bed. The kitchen in the room was fully equipped with even a dishwasher. The breakfast was very good with many vegetarian options. Many common areas such as kitchen, game room, working space, sauna etc. The staff was friendly and helpful, they even prepared us breakfast the previous day as we had to leave early the next morning and we would miss the breakfast hours. The check-in was easy, as well as the luggage storage.

In order to go anywhere inside the building you need your key card (you can't even access the elevator without it), so if you loose or forget your card, outside of the office hours you had to pay a lot of money to help you get in your room again or wait until ten in the morning for the staff to help you. This actually happened to another visitor who I met there. That's great for safety but things like that happen. Also not exactly a disadvantage but the room didn't have a TV. The breakfast even though was very tasty it was a bit repeated if you stayed for many days. Lastly, in order to get in touch with the staff you had to try many times, even though they answered eventually.

What a great renovation of an old building. All apartments and facilities are very modern. While the check in process is designed for online, Noli provides check in terminals inside the front door where you scan your passport and you then generate your own electronic key using the stack of key card blanks they provide. I appreciated that they didn't demand passports to be sent by email - although you could have for a quicker check in experience. The room was great and had everything you could need. No washing facilities in room, but your card gives you access to a common laundry with 5 washers, 5 tumble driers and 3 cabinet driers. All are free to use. You only have to book a time on a log sheet. And washing powder is supplied in your room. Another novelty was that there were no hair driers and irons in the room. You go down to an equipment station and use your room key card to unlock a drawer to get an appliance. Quite amazing really. You can't cook in your kitchenette, but there is a common kitchen on the ground floor if desired. Good lift access to all levels. Top floor has a common area for looking at the views. Onsite cafe for breakfast as well. Also on a tram line and an easy walk to the ferry to Estonia or to the harbour in Helsinki. Almost forgot. They have a small office where one or two staff members are available for any help during listed hours. I found them very pleasant and helpful when I needed assistance with a failed keycard. They also have excellent luggage storage facilities which you can access after hours once they give you the door code. All in all, a well thought out apartment building where you can get as much, or as little interaction with staff as you want.

Shower doors don’t seal at the bottom so water leaks everywhere. Housekeeping is every other day but the DND button on you door isn’t effective as housekeeping staff will knock on your door anyway (I saw others comment about this also) - Noli should use the simple DND/Please service room door hangers that most other hotels use to avoid confusion. There is generally only one host staff onsite until 17:00 pm so if they are not there, you might struggle to get speedy assistance. Room furnishings very basic and rooms a bit dark. Gym is in building next door but doesn’t have towels.

If the entry to the room can be done by code only, instead of card, it will be ideal. I forgot to put the door card in my bag, and had to ring the service line as it's after business hour. Though it is mentioned in the guide, opening door after business hours is a paid service (€73 I think). I find it quite stressful for the rest of my stay - I have to be 200% sure that my key card is in my bag e.g. check my bag 3 times before I leave the room!!!!!

Great location and comfortable stay. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to market square, and a 20-30 minute walk to the city center. Otherwise, the hotel is also about a 2-minute walk to the trams that take you quickly to the city center. I booked a studio apartment that had everything you'd need, including some small extras - like dishwashing tablets and detergent, which other hotels don't always provide. Everything we asked for, such as extra pillows and bin bags, they provided immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

There was no TV in the room, which was unfortunate because we like to watch local TV whenever we travel to get a feel of the city.

The studio flat was easy to find, easy to check in and very conveniently located. It was generally clean and well equipped, although I would have preferred more varied kitchen equipment. The building is very quiet, the staff are helpful, the bed is comfortable (if small) and the windows open.

Glass recycling collected at 05:30 at least twice during my stay (probably only a problem because I sleep with open windows), an air circulation system that cannot be turned off and is noisy and makes the air very dry, at least four green lights (smoke detector, WiFi, clock) that cannot be turned off (I covered the clock) and are surprisingly bright at night. A flat at the front would probably avoid the recycling problem

A great little studio with everything you need for a short stay. Facilities were clean and well maintained, communication was great, easy check in process and access to washers, dryers, iron as well as own kitchen. We didn't use the gym or the sauna but it was there if you wanted it. Convenient location a short walk from the city and easy to get to via tram from the railway station.

The only rail for hanging a towel in the bathroom is hard to reach if you are short! Perhaps a hook for the hand towel would be more convenient. Although information is provided on how to use various facilities, the instructions for the washing machine did not seem to match the actual machines at my location.

We stayed as a group of 10 people (8 students and 2 teachers), and what we liked the most was having access to the common spaces such as the game room and the meeting room — a great bonus for group activities. The rooms were very clean, with cleaning service every two days and linen changes every five days. The studio apartments were well-equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. Bathrooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent — within walking distance to all major historical and touristic attractions, and only a 5-minute walk to the harbor, which is great if you’re planning any additional trips by sea. Lastly, the hotel organizing social events on specific days was a lovely surprise. We joined the “Upscaling DIY” activity and had a great time creating new designs throughout the night.

Noli Studios has two buildings in Katajanokka; we stayed in Building II. While the main building has a 24/7 security guard, we would have liked to have one in ours as well. At times, we had issues like forgetting room cards, and resolving them took longer than expected. Although the hotel promotes a friendly and open atmosphere, it sometimes led to guests bringing in friends who disrupted the peace due to excessive drinking.

Had a lovely 7 night stay here. Helsinki has many accommodation options, but for me there was only one choice: Noli Studios. It was absolutely the right choice. The modern yet cozy design and the perfect location.

If I had to point out a few small things, the towels were sometimes a bit thin (depending on cleaning days), the pillows felt a bit too low could be higher, and there was no bath mat. But honestly, these were minor details compared to how comfortable and stylish the overall stay was.
