First time for me to stay in a capsule hotel after living 10 years in Japan... Capsule hotels are usually budget hotels, but I think this one is a “premium” capsule hotel. It seems to be quite new, in mint condition. The very positive surprise was the sense of room. I was fearing I would feel some claustrophobia when sleeping in a tube, but this was not the case. I think 9 Hours has done a very good job with space management: capsule is roomy (I estimated 1.2 m wide and high, also enough length for tall people), shared showers are very large, so were toilets. Very comfortable: slippers, pajamas, towels. Amenity goods can be purchased in the vending machine (tooth brush, razor, etc.) Very clean. It was very quiet although we were probably 20 people within less than 5 meters! Coupon for breakfast at the Saint Marc Café (1 minute walk). Location is very convenient: 1 minute walk to Ningyocho, 5 minutes to Suitengumae or Nihonbashi, 20 minutes to Tokyo station (Yaesu exit).

My only critics is not towards 9 hours hotel, but regarding the concept of capsule hotels. As opposed to a classic business hotel where the room is the main location, here the locker becomes the main location. As you can basically not take your luggage with you in the capsule. This means each time you do something, you need to stop by at your locker (to take your towels before going to the shower, etc.). This requires a bit of logistic organization… There was also a problem with check-in: for some reason self check-in machine did not recognize my reservation, but a staff member has come immediately and done my check-in.

Very streamlined and straightforward experience - exactly what is advertised, no more, no less. The capsules and common spaces were very clean and modern-looking. Plenty of amenities were provided.

Although modern-looking and sleek, the capsule has very little usable shelf area, the shelf-like indentations are too small and curved, I've had my stuff fall out of them plenty of times. The common lounge area is almost nonexistent, it's just a couple of bar seats at the ground floor. Since you have to leave the capsule every day between 10 - 14 (even if staying multiple days), it is annoying not to have a place where you can lounge. Also, it feels a bit wasteful to get a full amenities bag every day, I'd be happy to reuse the provided toothbrush and slippers.

9h Nine Hours Ningyocho offers a sleek, modern capsule hotel experience that perfectly blends comfort, convenience, and minimalist design. The capsules are clean, spacious, and equipped with adjustable lighting for a peaceful night’s sleep, while the shared facilities, including showers and lockers, are impeccably maintained and thoughtfully organized. Situated in the charming Ningyocho area, the location is ideal for exploring Tokyo, with easy access to public transportation and nearby local eateries. The staff are friendly and efficient, ensuring a seamless stay from check-in to check-out. Whether you’re a solo traveler or on a business trip, this futuristic and affordable accommodation is a must-try for anyone visiting Tokyo!

Clean. Uncomplicated. Authentic. Near to the city centre. Everything you need in the surrounding area like restaurants, Daiso, Convinient stores, supermarket and drug stores. The big lockers were a dream for me. They fit a lot! The showers were beautiful with a rain shower and a big changing area. They provided towels, toothbrush, lounge wear and slippers. I stayed for four nights and they just gave me a second set of towels, which was great.

More space, tables or hooks to sort the luggage. More toilets or the sign to us the bathroom on the second floor. Many people used the toilets to clean their teeth or to change, so they were blocking them.

The pot is large enough and has charging spot (USB and plug) and regulated light. Clean and comfortable. Large shower cabinets (almost rooms) where you can change. Everyone has a locker assigned where you can find a bag with towels, pajamas, slippers, toothpaste and toothbrush. There is a lounge area with a microwave and coworking space. Guests were respecting each other and behaved very well and politely

No option to leave your baggage after check-out but I understand that. There is very little space. It’s not the 5* hotel so you can’t have high expectations.

The common areas, capsule and toilet facilities were extremely clean. The capsule hotel is very typical. The walls are a bit thicker so the snoring of other people didn't affect me too much. Unfortunately I spilt ink on the sheets so I had to pay a pretty extortionate 5000 yen fee (which I totally understand. Don't do that!). Although the staff don't speak English they were very nice and the check-in process was smooth. The lobby is actually really pretty and it snowed on the night I stayed there! Nice location. Some complimentary items.

Not much wrong with it. However it's not really cheap for a capsule hotel. I would check nearby hostels/pods that have more facilities if there are some.

Breakfast was at a nearby cafe. It is good value comparing to buying separately. The place is well maintained with daily cleaning, new bedding and towels every day. Location is great. Very close to Ningyocho subway station, Starbucks and many restaurants. There is also a coin laundry nearby.

The "lobby", which is the only public/shared space, was quite small. Sits 6-7 people at max. Staff was not visibly at the front desk most of the time. Although one can knock on the door or message in the app to get help. For someone staying more than 1 night, the rule to vacate the place (except lobby) during 10AM-2PM is a bit annoying.

Location is great, only some min walk from a station. Despite of sharing all the spaces, pods area was quite and slept super well. Cost is affordable, no need to bring shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, sandals and pjs, all is provided along with clean towels.

I was working from the common area, it was a bit cold and crowded, nothing huge but it could be improved. I was given daily stuffs I didn’t need it, nice to have the option but I am sure my pjs sets was washed despite I didn’t use it.

Centrally located in the Chūō ward, this nine hours capsule hotel is the best one of the 9h chain. It’s super-futuristic with a quintessentially star-trekky vibe of minimalist aesthetics. Cozy and well-designed, 9h Ningyōchō feels like you’re in a spaceship ready to break-thru light speed. Apropos, it’s got super-fast elevators, so you can zip out in a flash to the Hibiya line that’s right around the corner. If you ever need to contact staff then they’re genuinely friendly and nice; nevertheless, everything is done without humans, from check-in to check-out. 9h Ningyōchō is my favorite place to stay in Tōkyō.

Very well located, near a metro station and walkable form Tokyo station Very clean Comfortable bed with USB charger inside Everyone respected the rules so it was quiet Women are in separated floors for bathroom and capsules so I felt very safe Modern, looks new Possibility to keep the luggage Check in until very late possible Low price for the area

Mandatory to leave the capsule and bathroom floor at 10am everyday until 2pm if I remember well, even if you stay several nights. As the lockers are on the same floor as the capsule, it's not convenient if you forgot something and just want to access your locker. Impossible to pay by cash. Luckily I could pay with Suica card. No amenities such as cotton pads or wiping paper Locker is small so if you have a very big suitcase or 2 suitcases, it does not fit.
