We are a family of 2 adults + 3 kids, who stayed at Mimaru Inachiro for 8 days. We were very happy with the best decision of our trip to stay here. 1. People One of the most important aspect of the accommodation is the people that are there, and the personnel at this hotel are wonderful people. The team is always very supportive and helpful, and really helped me out with food recommendations around the area. Oftentimes, Gina would help me out in the mornings as we start out day, with where is a good place for breakfast, and directions to attractions. In the evenings, Shu would help me out with places for dinner. 2. Location Subway This location really worked out well for our family’s requirements and needs. It is very walkable. In that it is about 5 min walk or less to the nearest subway station. The station itself has the Ginza line and that was very useful to go to Asakasa, Ginza and Nihombashi. Food: There are many eating places, that suited our family within a 5 – 10 min walking radius. So it was very useful and convenient for us to go for dinner after a long day and return back to the hotel after that. Supermarket There is a 24 hour supermarket about 3 min walk away. Literally, turn left and then turn left, and you are there. So very convenient for getting essentials, and snacks. 3. Food Breakfast wise, we either grabbed sandwiches from the supermarket, MacDonalds is also about a 5 min walk away. Or Café Katsura (7 min walk – Gina’s rec for simple sandwiches and coffee). Dinnerwise, the hotel will have plenty of recommendations for you. But there is also one restaurant that we chanced upon walking around. It is about 10 – 15 walk from the hotel. And we had really great Italian food at very reasonable prices, so much that we went back to eat twice during the week that we were there. It is called PizzaKing, seriously delicious and at such reasonable prices, but take note that it accepts cash only. Love this place so much. Service is good too. Best to m

This was my first time staying at a MIMARU hotel in Japan. The room was spacious enough for the three of us, and the separate bathroom and shower areas were especially convenient for a family sharing one space. The room was clean and thoughtfully designed. The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, which was a welcome contrast after spending the day in Tokyo’s busy, crowded areas. The nearby restaurants cater more to local residents than tourists, which added to the authentic experience.
The staff at this hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Based on the hotel’s advertisement, we expected an overall experience that reflected the distinctive hospitality style often associated with Japanese service. However, that wasn’t quite the case here. Most of the guests were international travelers rather than Japanese tourists, which may explain why the service style felt more international than uniquely Japanese.

Nearly everything was wonderful! Especially the staff — Gina, Shu and everyone were so kind, welcoming and professional. I mentioned to Gina that we needed hand lotion, bc Tokyo was hella dry, and she tried her darnedest to ask all the Mimaru branches, and when they didn't have any, she went out of her way to put together a very thoughtful gift basket of body and hand lotions with a cute card! So kind and very thoughtful — please give Gina an award for going above and beyond lol! The room was honestly smaller than we imagined, but when we compared it to our friends' hotel, we realized how it was actually relatively VERY spacious and well-appointed as well! Stocked with dishes, utensils, kitchen tools, and very clean. The bathtub and shower were so so nice and comforting after those long days in the city. Location is amazing! So close to Maruetsu supermarket, Daiso, restaurants and the Inaricho subway. Overall, so much was beyond our expectations and would highly recommend!
There were only a couple things that are minor that we actually wish ALL Mimaru locations would do (not just this one): 1) Provide LOTION! Hand and body lotion were so needed, especially bc the heater and climate of Tokyo made it so dry! My hands were cracking by the end of the first day there! 2) Better shampoo! My wife really felt that the shampoo lacked a lot of lather, which is unexpected given the level of everything else at Mimaru! These two issues were the ONLY things we thought needed improvements and that's just nitpicking, but we felt these were actually more important than other things that were provided like instant coffee and slippers. So hoping the management takes note! Otherwise — AWESOME HOTEL!

No language barrier here as all the staff at the Reception can speak English well. Room was as shown in the photos, neat and clean. With some planning, we have enough space to open 2 suitcases for the 4 of us staying in the room. Shower and bath was spacious, toilet is separated from the shower. 3 mins walk to Inaricho station, Ginza line. There a supermarket 3 mins walk away, with good variety of items.
Ueno is far from Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, at least 40 mins train ride away. There's only 1 lift to serve the whole hotel, although there only a few units per floor. But it does take some time to wait for the lift, esp during peak hours.

I was traveling with a baby, only 8 months old, and so every moment that I and my wife have to deal with requires full attention. But the staffs were really kind and eager to help us, and the facility was also well equipped. Of course, although it was hard to access many sightseeing area with my child, Inaricho was quite easy point to go to skytree or ueno zoo and park. Thank you for the happy moments!
- A bit larger crib would have been more helpful but still OK. - if the lighting can be more separately adjustable, it would be much much better.

The first impression of this hotel is the fantastic welcome you get from all the staff. They had a warm greeting and great local advice for everything we could need. The location of this hotel was perfect for us: connected to multiple metro stations and the main Ueno station but in a quiet area with a local feel. The room was large, clean and had everything we could need. It is a perfect, calm base for your stay exploring Tokyo.
Nothing negative to say about this hotel, it was fantastic

We liked the new, spacious and quiet room. It was big enough for 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 11y old), and we comfortably stayed there for a month. The location was great - only a couple minutes' walk from Inaricho Subway station, 5min walk from JR Ueno station and Keisei Ueno station. We used a taxi from Keisei Ueno station to the hotel because of luggage, but you can walk easily without them. There is 24h supermarket (Maruetsu and Daiso 100yen shop) within a min walk, many reasonable restaurants are available around the hotel and near Ueno station, and a public spa (Kotobuki-yu) is also within a min. The staff are lovely, and all receptionists are bilingual in Japanese and English. We will come back for the next Japan trip!

Very home sweet home kind of place, the staff are totally friendly careful and helpful. The location is pretty good, 3 min walk to INARICHO station and it is Ginza line, it is very convenient for my trip schedule this time. The room is clean and comfy, very comfortable to have breakfast or dinner, the kitchen is enough to use on easy cooking. Restroom is wet/dry separated. Neighbor are okay, not much people walking on the street, streets are clean. It is very comfy for a family with 3 people, nice experience :)

The staff is very friendly and glad to help when needed. The rooms are spacious and clean, very appreciated when you compare to the room size of other hotels. The bathroom is convenient and separated from the Japanese toilets. The bed is comfortable and the duvet and the pillows are soft. The kitchen is also well equipped but we didn’t use it much because of all the convenient stores located around. They can rent many things for children and babies.

Friendly helpful staff that were able to communicate with us in english, secure lobby, (pretty much everything is in Tokyo) but fair walking distance to the train station and many other areas, clean, useful utilities.I would definitely stay here again.
Beds and pillows are quite hard if you're more used to a softer mattress (although it grew on me and helped with my neck), also one of the charging ports near the bed was a bit faulty and wouldn't always charge. (I neglected to mention this to staff since I just used the other nearby port and forgot most of the time.)
