Everything! My son (16) and I stayed here and from the moment we opened the door to our room we were home for the week. A quieter street that is close to everything. Very easy to get around using the asakusa line or the Ginza line. Staff is gracious and kind. This whole trip was amazing. 100% would recommend and would stay there again!! I am a flight attendant and have been for 32 years. I have stayed in many hotels and this was in my top 5.

The rooms are traditional while still having modern comforts. My son loved the indoor/outdoor tub. The floors were lovely. Please make sure to respectfully take off your shoes in the alcove provided. The location was fabulous. We went everywhere around Tokyo and both agreed we picked the right area and hotel. Breakfast was substantial and you could choose either a more traditional breakfast or something a little more familiar.

This was our second time staying at Prostyle, and it did not disappoint! The room was very nice, featuring a traditional Japanese style with a serene and comfortable atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The semi-open air bath was definitely the cherry on top of our stay. It came with bath salts and was conveniently located right next to the shower room, adding to the overall relaxing experience. The hotel's location was perfect – within walking distance to both Sensoji and Tokyo Skytree, and surrounded by a variety of restaurants and cafes. It's an ideal spot for exploring the area. The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The staff was polite and welcoming, and the room was equipped with all the essentials, including a pajama set, toiletries, a fridge, and a blow dryer. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in our stay. You can choose between a Japanese or Western-style meal, and everything was delicious.

The location and the room model which is a modern ryokan is great. Very near but not in the always busy part of Asakusa, and just a block from Sumida river with the Skytree view. Breakfast choice (set menu) are also good if you like big breakfast.

The room is big but with the big sizes of the bed and the tatami room and genkan (entryway) setup, there are barely room to open our suitcases. The tatami floor also make it a bit scary to roll the suitcase. Definitely made for small suitcase. The window was without blinds so in the morning the sun came in immediately, if you want to stay in it will be bright. But it is true to the ryokan style.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel. Gives the Ryokan feeling in the middle of the city, with a little more Western comforts. Had a great little room service option for drinks/sake tastings/beer/snacks. (Not a full meal). The view of the Skytree was amazing, as was the amazing tub outdoors. (Though I wish there were some way to see the view from the tub!). We did Western breakfast both days, though I regretted it when I saw some of the options for Japanese breakfast like a hotpot! Breakfast is in the restaurant, as opposed to your room, which is a bit different.

Do wish the option for eating in the room was available, to really have the full ryokan feel, but it was fine.

Absolutely loved this hotel, a great place to stay when in Ueno/Asakusa. The staff were great, a 24/7 desk, they accepted our luggage from the convenience store delivery service and even put it in our room before we came! The rooms are spacious (especially in Japan) and gorgeous, with a lovely onsen and view! Even if in Tokyo, a great location anyway as it is 5-10 mins away from Asakusa station. Breakfast: You can select your breakfast the day before and it is perfect.

Despite the breakfast being lovely, it is limited to the breakfast choice - it’s not a buffet, it’s like ordering at a restaurant. Perfect but not if you have any fussy eaters with you! I assure you that the breakfast is still nice even if fussy (:

WOW. This property exceeded our expectations, we only wish we had more time here! We had a room on floor 12 and an outdoor bath on the balcony. It was incredible and we wish we were still there! The beds were massive (husband is 6'3) and very comfortable. Shower was great, powerful. Toilet was amazing. The staff here were very friendly and we felt very welcomed. Breakfast was delicious and nice to experience a Japanese breakfast. Great location for exploring Asakusa. About 30 minutes on the train/subway to explore other areas of Tokyo. I would 100% recommend this property and would definitely go back myself! It was our most expensive stay in Japan but worth every penny.

The service of the staff was incredible, from the moment of check in to check out. The staff was also able to help with our luggage service transfer to our next destination and made it so easy and convenient. The true value of the stay was the traditional breakfast every morning. They have multiple options and each option was delicious.

It was very clear in the description the size of the rooms but it is sometimes difficult to picture visually. It was absolutely find for my party but I recommend others to keep this in mind, especially if you're traveling with big luggages - the space might become a hindrance (although we were fine with it!)

Beautiful property from top to toe, and our Japanese style double room was massive, especially by Tokyo standards. Opening two large and two small suitcases on the floor required some arrangement but worked out fine. Each person also got a sizeable mattress too which we appreciated. The single room one of our travellers had was pretty small so do keep in mind if you prefer larger rooms. Also, big thanks to the amazing staff who let us store our bags overnight a day prior to check-in, it was massively helpful!

Not a dislike, rather that we would have booked the rooms with an outdoor onsen for an even better experience (the rooms with enclosed ones kinda feel like a regular tub), as we mistook that the property would have a communal onsen (it doesn’t), so advice for others to look through carefully when selecting your rooms!

Such a cute stay by the river, and close to old town. Very walkable. The lobby area was comfortable and a nice spot to wait for friends. I enjoyed my room as a solo traveler. It was definitely larger than other rooms I've stayed in throughout Japan. Closet was nice but not necessary. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was super tasty and the service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Sometimes there was a smell in the hallways and I'm not sure if it was the carpet or what. The room had a beautiful sized window that I unfortunately couldn't see out of.

Excellent breakfast. You have a choice between Western and Japanese breakfast. Breakfast starts from 0730H on weekdays, 0700H on weekend. Due to limited space in the restaurant, you need to make reservation the day before. Only the adults will have the full breakfast. Children is only given bread/rice. Breakfast costs around 3300Yen per person.
