We are a family of five with three teenagers and stayed for three days. We stayed in teh appartment, which is a separate building just across from the main hotel building. The flat was on two levels, with a double bed and three single beds. It had a small patio out front which was actually wonderful, in that we could sit outside and drink wine or coffee and enjoy the sun and the very central location. The beds were very comfortable! The hotel is very central, a block from the market and a grocery store and surrounded by restaurants. The staff were very friendly. We did surfing lessons every day, and the surfing was about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. For beginners, Biarritz is fantastic for surfing -- very good predictable waves, and many options for rentals.

We got to Biarritz by rental car and didn't realize that there is no actual driving to the hotel itself because the central area allows no cars. We had to park in a nearby public lot, which was difficult to find parking in and cost 25 euros a day. Then we had to walk a few blocks with our luggage to get to the hotel. Totally fine, but wasn't obvious before arriving. Make sure to use a navigation app and figure out what lot you are going to park in before getting to town, because it's a bit of a maze and the drivers honk a lot if you don't know where you are going!

We had an incredible stay at Alfred’s – the location is unbeatable, right in the centre of town and walking distance to everything. The courtyard bar and restaurant is a lovely little spot in its own right – perfect for a relaxed aperitif before heading across the street to one of the many great French restaurants nearby. The market is just around the corner, so we ended up going there most mornings. The rooms were modern, stylish, and the bed was super comfy. Big shoutout to Emma, the concierge – her customer service was excellent, and she was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Can’t recommend Alfred’s enough – we’ll definitely be back!

Very friendly and helpful staff, they went out of their way to make us welcome, hotel is in a great location for the market and all the shops, bars, restaurants, and a short walk to the beaches. It is clean and the rooms have a good feel. A/C worked very well. Beach towels and a bag available, chilled water to top up our bottles, useful touches. The hotel restaurant (called La Gambette) and drinks area outside at the front of the hotel is a charming setting for light eats and drinks, all good value but nothing fancy. There are many great places to eat and drink in Biarritz, all minutes away from the hotel.

This kind of feels picky but none of this was a deal breaker. The beds perhaps not as comfy as one first thinks (the mattress a little too soft for our liking - but not a serious issue!), the duvet far too warm for the summer (we had to ask for a sheet) and the interior part of the restaurant/bar is not as characterful as it could be, and the menu was a little limited/didn't seem to change much. We ate there once - the situation is charming at the front of the hotel - but it was not our best meal in Biarritz.

Loved our stay here! The room was clean and cozy(we had a beautiful balcony with great view), breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, and the vibe overall was super relaxing. Most of the staff were very kind—special shoutout to Zeynep and the rest of the people for their politeness. Great location, great energy. We would definitely come back.

I only stayed one night at this hotel because I extended my stay, and the original accommodation was unavailable. I wish I'd stayed longer, the hotel is full of lovely little details and everything is very thoughtfully designed. The bed is super comfortable, and I loved the in-room cosmetics. The staff are all quite young and super friendly and welcoming. The bar makes great cocktails and the food at the restaurant was excellent too! The location next to the Halles is perfect, easy walking distance to everything in Biarritz. They helped arrange a taxi to take me to the train station, and gave little farewell gifts. It's a super cute place, and quite calm and quiet despite it's very central location.

Everything about my stay at Alfred Hotel was amazing! The staff were 10/10 friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help with whatever weird request that I had! Also… the beds were sooo comfortable?!?! Literally sank into it & had the best sleep during my stay. The hotel was also so conveniently located and I walked everywhere that I needed to in Biarritz, from surf to coffee to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this hotel in Biarritz!!

The hotel has beauty of construction. Rooms re OUTSTANDINGvery 'less is more' elegant. Good breakfast. 2 minutes walk to tge seaside. Still right in lively, vibrant city cenyre. Rooms quiet, amazing combo

The location of the hotel is amazing, only a few steps away from the local produce market and just around the corner from the beach but on a quiet road, so there is not much noise. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I received a room upgrade which was a wonderful surprise. The bed was super comfortable! Best quality linen!As part of the stay you also received complimentary unlimited tea and coffee with croissants or pain au chocolat (of there were any left) and a welcome drink! I will definitely be staying again on my next trip to Biarritz!

That my stay was so short!

I loved everything about my stay! The staff (especially the gentleman from Madagascar who checked me in) were just beyond nice and amazing. Loved the design, the bed, breakfast, location. Little touches like mariage freres teas available all day long. All the girls in the hotel were so lovely to me when I had to pop in and out. Thank you so much, I’m so grateful to all of you for making for first visit to Biarritz so special.

This hotel was the perfect location for a solo traveler in Biarritz. It’s minutes away from two different beaches, one block from Les Halles and its incredible markets, and surrounded by great bars and restaurants. The included breakfast was lovely and beyond my expectations. Very sweet staff!
