Our stay at Hotel Alfred was excellent 👌 The hotel is perfectly located. An easy walk to everything. The beds are very comfortable (not hard hay mattresses as so many other hotels). The breakfast buffet was fresh, homemade and top notch. The staff could not do enough for you. Laura checked us in, so friendly and took us to our room. There was an issue with that room so she immediately checked if she could move us to another (she did). George sorted our air conditioning issue. He called up after to make sure it was working, but we weren't in so he called the next morning when we didn't show for breakfast. He suggested he save some food for us when we could make it down (perfect). Luc with his large smile/personality and homemade ginger wake up shot for the morning. Agathe with her smiling face and helpful attitude. Ciara and Alex filling in between. Everyone was so positive and helpful. Is this France?! The room was cleaned daily. There's under floor heating in the bathroom. The courtyard is lovely to sit in too. Our stay was brilliant 😄 We'll be back again!

The transfer to the airport was incredibly pricey for the 6 minutes it took to get there. Booked by the hotel.

The staff really make this place. They are all young and super-friendly and helpful. The concierge, Clemente, reached out to me ahead of time and helped me organise pick-up from the airport because I was arriving late in the evening. There was an issue with the lock on the door I was initially assigned, but they quickly switched me to another room. The breakfast buffet is excellent, given the small size of the hotel and the ingredients are all top quality, which makes a real difference to the experience. You can also access the coffee/tea machine at any time of the day and there's a little terrace for you to sit out in. The location is also great - everything was walkable and it is very close to the acquarium and the beaches and about 10 minutes walk to the bus stop to take you to the airport.

Just be aware that the rooms are quite small, but they did have everything I needed and I wasn't spending much time in it anyway!

I can't say enough about this hotel! The location was perfect and close to everything, including a bus stop. The price/value was excellent. But the best part was the staff! Clement messaged me before our stay to give me detailed information on everything we needed, and responded quickly to my questions. He offered a special "treat" to be left in the room which was much appreciated when arriving hungry. Laura was super friendly and helpful at check in. But the star was Luc, who kept my son company during the night when he was suffering from jet lag, and went to the kitchen to scrounge up some delicious cheese, bread, pastries, hot chocolate, etc.

everything. The location is one minute walk to the beach. hotel rooms look newly decorated and spotlessly clean. Really good hairdryer in room and access to mirror. Beds are very comfortable, dhowe excellent, lovely soaps and towels. Breakfast is excellent, tea and coffee are available all day and night. Most important of all, the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind. From the receptionists ( don't know her name) to the Manager and special mention to Luc, the night receptionist, he was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him, thank youLuc. I would definitely stay here again, very friendly, family like atmosphere

I liked the breakfast, they had both warm and cold options as well as glutenfree options, and I loved the staff and their wonderful service. The hotel has a great location, very centrally located, only a minute from the sea.

The room was a bit too small. I couldn't properly open either the bathroom door or the door to the hallway without either of them hitting the bed. The bed was also smaller than a normal make and I couldn't really fit in it, meaning I either had my feet outside or pull them in towards me or sleep diagonally. The bed was otherwise comfy.

This hotel went the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and there were thoughtful touches like a personal welcome letter, a cute tote bag as a gift, and little guides about local dining and attractions. The design of the hotel is stylish and tasteful, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The whole concept is crafted to make guests feel truly special. The room was perfect, and I believe I have been upgraded to one with a terrace. On top of that, the location is unbeatable—strategically situated in the heart of Biarritz, by the seaside, and just a short walk from all the city’s attractions. For the price, the quality and experience are exceptional. Thank you for making my stay so special and unforgettable <3

Everything exceeded my expectations.

We loved everything about this hotel! The staff were exceptional - special shoutout to Alex! The room was small but well designed and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed being able to use the space downstairs to hang out and drink coffee in the morning even though we didn't have the breakfast at the hotel. Overall it was a very lovely experience and I will definitely be back!

The room was a little smaller than we would have liked but also it's a darling boutique hotel in the heart of Biarritz so we were happy to have a smaller room in a hotel that has so much more to offer!

The staff - SO NICE. Just so nice. The room is compact but detailed and neat. I stayed in a different building from the main reception, and was told it's a brand new (renovated, I suppose) so the staff walked with me to the room. What you will see in the room is a hand-written message card! Again, so nice! The bed was massive and super comfy. I'll defo come back!

Really wonderful in every respect. My only barrier to comfort was mosquitos who feasted on me my first and second night. In response, staff were kind and helpful, swapping my room and even sharing itch remedies—it’s just my bad luck that I was so allergic to these cruel and ravenous mosquitos, which made sleep impossible for a few days.

It was grand. The bed and bedding were delicious, the rooms well-designed, staff friendly and kind. I’m only sad I had to forfeit the bathtub for the mosquito-free room, but sleep, after all, is paramount!

Room not ready on time took 3 attempts to check in, no coffee pods in Annex so had to go to main hotel, same for any other requirements. Although we were very happy with being in a quieter location it isn’t like it is next door. Beautifully decorated and furnished bedroom and shower room but knees literally touch wall when on toilet.
