We only stayed for one evening and had to leave before breakfast to go to the airport.. The hotel is located close to the Old Port, but accessible to the other facilities in Biarritz. We had a room on the top floor but there was modern lift and the room was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities before going out to eat elsewhere later. The bed was very comfortable. We needed a taxi in the morning which the staff arranged for us the night before.

When you come by public transport, the Old Port is down a steep slope from the nearest bus stop (Helianthe).

We were staying for the second time, we love the vibe of the hotel and its location. Very very friendly personnel, and I especially grateful for the thorough cleaning, as there is no way you wouldn’t bring a lot of sand from the beach, and our room was pristine after the cleaning every time (even our daughter multiple plushies lovingly arranged in the bed - so cute :)

Breakfast is not brilliant, but passable. There is no child price for breakfast, even if your kid just had a bowl of cereal. Also the location is not for everyone. Both times we were lucky to have rooms facing the back street which is quiet, but if your room is facing the front of the building - well you might have to listen to people party late into the night. Also our air con didn’t work for the last two days. We didn’t mind even though it was hot, but that might be a problem for most people.

Everything but the most location and people who work there. There was this young petite lady (sadly we didn’t ask for the name) with long but curly hair who was just the most lovely person. She recommended to us to go and see sunset at the Epic roof bar which we did and had such a beautiful time. She always went out of her ways to help us and ensure we are feeling great. Such a gorgeous person. Rest of the staff is also lovely and the place it’s so unique. Don’t hesitate to stay there. We are back to the rainy London now and so missing Biarritz and this lovely hotel 💛

We travelled as a group of friends and booked 2 rooms in Hôtel PALMITO. The rooms and the facilities totally met our expectations: the beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, there were everything one would need for a short stay. The girls at the reception were very kind and helpful to keep our luggade and advise the best place for breakfast around the corner. Loved the tropical design too! Also, the location is the best you can imagine in Biarritz, right in between the surf beach and the city centre, next to the beautiful harbour.

Fabulous location - very close to the old port and Le Petite Plage with easy access to the other beaches and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely, though quite small. The hotel has a lovely decor and overall vibe. The breakfast was quite good, lots of choice for the continental option, though not a great deal of additional choices with the 'full' breakfast option. The various other bars and restaurants owned by the hotel are lively with varied cuisine and street food choices.

Great hotel , pleasant decoration, clean room. ➕ The Palmito is ideally located, just steps from Port-Vieux Beach and Rocher de la Vierge. ➕ Super powerful hair dryer, fast drying. Excellent location on the pedestrian street with plenty of bars and restaurants. ➖ No refrigerator in the room. We will definitely come back! I highly recommend it! Visited April 2025

Palmito was a fantastic boutique hotel, a stone’s throw from the Petite Plage & with a modern tropical vibe. The room was smallish but the clever design & little balcony gave a feeling of space. The decor made you feel like every day was a Summer holiday., from the palm tree wall paper to the rattan chair & bamboo tray. The bed was comfortable & the water hot. Breakfast to dinner was available at the hotel’s cafe across the road. We drifted off to sleep with the sound of the waves mixed with mellow old school music. The staff were very welcoming & helpful & gave us milk for our tea every evening.

No negatives only positives.

Nicely decorated and clean room, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast and good views of the sea as well as the busy street with all its bars and restaurants. Located in the centre of the main touristic area, so don't come here if you're into going to bed early as it's got no soundproof windows. If you're into partying and exploring the town, it's the right spot!

Great sized bedrooms/beds, excellent aircon (we were there over a heatwave) and amazing location right by Le petit plage! Also right around the corner from an AMAZING Patisserie— Noisette.

Towels could have been a little better quality, but that’s a minor! Chrome cast wasn’t working on the TV, But the reception sorted us out with a USB stick for the TV so we could watch Netflix :) Food at the attached restaurant is quite average, maybe head elsewhere! Really well designed though.

The room was bright,spacious, and comfortable, bed was great, bathroom very clean and all amenities, prime location, close to a lovely beach and multiple food options as well as shopping. Quick walk to anywhere you want to be. Lively atmosphere in the neighbourhood.
