The Hotel Palmito was a big surprise in terms of quality and value for money. It's super close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were really accommodating. We arrived very early and one of my friends had his bicycle packed in a large box which was difficult in terms of space. However, the staff were really helpful in where we could put all our stuff until we were able to check in. They were also really helpful after he built the bike by taking away the large box themselves for recycling.The rooms were really comfortable and incredible value for money. Having two bathrooms for the 4 person room made a huge difference. Would definitely recommend!

We only stayed for one evening and had to leave before breakfast to go to the airport.. The hotel is located close to the Old Port, but accessible to the other facilities in Biarritz. We had a room on the top floor but there was modern lift and the room was spotlessly clean. We appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities before going out to eat elsewhere later. The bed was very comfortable. We needed a taxi in the morning which the staff arranged for us the night before.

When you come by public transport, the Old Port is down a steep slope from the nearest bus stop (Helianthe).

The location: in the Vieux-Port (old harbor), within minutes of a cute little beach, restaurants, attractions, shopping etc. The breakfast is really excellent, in the hotel's own coffee shop. The hotel and room are decorated in a cute Hawaiian style, with a strong surfing vibe! I highly recommend.

The location: do NOT come by car to Biarritz! It is impossible to park. The hotel's directions to the closest parking garage do not take into account the numerous one way streets, or closures so we never reached it.

We were staying for the second time, we love the vibe of the hotel and its location. Very very friendly personnel, and I especially grateful for the thorough cleaning, as there is no way you wouldn’t bring a lot of sand from the beach, and our room was pristine after the cleaning every time (even our daughter multiple plushies lovingly arranged in the bed - so cute :)

Breakfast is not brilliant, but passable. There is no child price for breakfast, even if your kid just had a bowl of cereal. Also the location is not for everyone. Both times we were lucky to have rooms facing the back street which is quiet, but if your room is facing the front of the building - well you might have to listen to people party late into the night. Also our air con didn’t work for the last two days. We didn’t mind even though it was hot, but that might be a problem for most people.

Everything but the most location and people who work there. There was this young petite lady (sadly we didn’t ask for the name) with long but curly hair who was just the most lovely person. She recommended to us to go and see sunset at the Epic roof bar which we did and had such a beautiful time. She always went out of her ways to help us and ensure we are feeling great. Such a gorgeous person. Rest of the staff is also lovely and the place it’s so unique. Don’t hesitate to stay there. We are back to the rainy London now and so missing Biarritz and this lovely hotel 💛

We travelled as a group of friends and booked 2 rooms in Hôtel PALMITO. The rooms and the facilities totally met our expectations: the beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, there were everything one would need for a short stay. The girls at the reception were very kind and helpful to keep our luggade and advise the best place for breakfast around the corner. Loved the tropical design too! Also, the location is the best you can imagine in Biarritz, right in between the surf beach and the city centre, next to the beautiful harbour.

Really nice location and the apartment was good. It was very hot so I'm pleased we had air-conditioning. Comfortable beds and rooms. It was great having the cafe and restaurant to the hotel too.

The doors didnt lock to the rooms on the terrace (you could only get up with a key card to the 5th floor so that was fine) but it was more whilst sleeping it would have felt a bit better knowing the doors were locked.

Charming hotel with a Hawaiian vibe and decoration. Very friendly and relaxed front desk workers. Cosy room with AC. In the historic area, close to the sea and restaurants.

A bit pricey, but oh well, it is Biarritz; lots of rich folks there, you pay a premium for that. Nearby parking is very expensive during the day (4 euros/hour), but luckily it is free overnight until 10 am (at least on the day we checked in).

Fabulous location - very close to the old port and Le Petite Plage with easy access to the other beaches and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely, though quite small. The hotel has a lovely decor and overall vibe. The breakfast was quite good, lots of choice for the continental option, though not a great deal of additional choices with the 'full' breakfast option. The various other bars and restaurants owned by the hotel are lively with varied cuisine and street food choices.

Great hotel , pleasant decoration, clean room. ➕ The Palmito is ideally located, just steps from Port-Vieux Beach and Rocher de la Vierge. ➕ Super powerful hair dryer, fast drying. Excellent location on the pedestrian street with plenty of bars and restaurants. ➖ No refrigerator in the room. We will definitely come back! I highly recommend it! Visited April 2025
