I loved, loved, LOVED my stay at Hotel de la Plage! I travel often, nearly every month, and it is such a rare and welcome gift to find a hotel that looks exactly like its online photos! My room was a delight, lovingly decorated in a soothing, minimal, slightly nautical style. The bed was comfortable, the pillows plentiful, the bathroom very spacious. I loved the ample counter space for all cosmetics, and the very roomy wc part. Also the real wooden door - the glass door trend has gone too far in my opinion :) I had a wonderful view over the Plage du Port Vieux too - not just from my room, but a panoramic one from the rooftop bar as well, with sunsets to die for. The rooftop space has wonderful food too - i will be dreaming of that mousse chocolat for a while. I regret not trying the breakfast, it looked very nice as well, but I was making my way through the boulangeries of Biarritz. The staff was very polite, helpful, friendly - thank you Marie for the later checkout, and for all the tourist advice too. Also appreciated that my request for no cleaning was respected - nobody entered my room which was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely return to the hotel in my next visit to Biarritz (and will plan to have more suitcase space, I regret not buying the beautiful straw handbag to have a more tangible souvenir!) :)

honestly, it is hard to find fault - and I am very picky! But all was pretty much perfect.

The hotel is perfectly situated by the water and still in close proximity to the shop lined streets. The hotel breakfast was one of the best I have ever had and the whole aesthetic of the property is so beautifully curated from the lobby, to the rooms and even the little gift shop, it was perfect.

The one thing that would make this property a complete 10/10 would be onsite parking but there are plenty of garages not too far away. It was difficult to find a spot outside of the hotel to unload and make sure to not leave it (we received a ticket). But despite this, I am hoping to return to this hotel!

Biarritz is surprisingly the Santa Monica of Basque France. Who knew? The sun came out and all the locals grabbed their surf boards and were out on the water. The hotel overlooked the beach and the staff was great at getting us reservations and taking great care of us. The breakfast buffet was well set up and delicious. We had a charming two days on the coast and could hear the surf from our terrace. A good time had by all.

The pillows on the bed. But not a deal breaker. One a little hard and a little too soft. Parking was not the easiest to access but the staff made sure we got to the parking garage which was a 5 minute walk back. Also pricey but no different than other parking garages on our journey.

The access to the beach is just perfect it’s also walking distance to everything which is great. It has a beautiful atmosphere I quite like the fragrance of the hotel and the stunning decor. The rooftop is also a stunning spot for drinks and breakfast overlooking the sea 🌊 also the breakfast was really good and included everything you could ever want ;)

I found the bedding could be improved as I was quite cold during my stay and the bedding felt quite cheap. Also I think for that price per night you should include soft bathrobes in the bathroom to give it more of a cosy feel. Also the lack of closet space could be improved. I also didn’t like for the price I paid with the balcony didn’t even have much furniture or vibe to it, just one simple stool this could be improved by better quality furniture or even adding a table on the balcony.

We loved the location & our room facing the ocean/beachside. Short walk across the street to get down to the beach-perfect! Friendly staff (Lori in particular) greeted us upon arrival & set the tone for our 4 night stay. The hotel felt relaxing, modern, and had a great signature scent! We would definitely come back the next time we’re in Biarritz!

I absolutely loved this hotel .. it was so quirky .. so clean .. the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you … breakfast was very tasty …it was very well located .. Hôtel lent us beach towels .. it had a sustainable ethos and a lovely vibe … I nearly forgot the rooftop bar which had a fantastic view and great drinks !!

Wonderful and quiet garden room. Front desk staff spoke english well and mad a little map of the highlights for us. Decent restaurant on roof with great views of rocks and cozy beach. Excellent restaurant literally out the front door above beach. Many great restaurants up the main street within a 2 block area.

It is quite noisy if you like to sleep with open windows in the summer. BUT I did not mind it. The view is beautiful and I was being able to go for a swim any minute I wanted because the beach is 10 seconds from your door,

Everything. I loved this stylish hotel and I loved people working there. A big shout out to Lori and Julien who were always very helpful and welcomed us with a real smile. A huge bonus is a fact that you can borrow a beach towel from the hotel :)

Be aware that the main street next to the hotel is noisy until 11 pm.

The hotel has been newly renovated. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the bathroom products are furnished by Nuxe. The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful. Beautiful terrace with a nice view. The hotel is very close to the beach and the center, where you can find many shops and restaurants so it is very convenient.

Nothing. The room price was bit of expensive but I guess it is on average for a place like Biarritz during the peak season.
