This is a lovely hotel about 20 minutes walk to the Halle Biarritz and the seaside location. It is a comfortable hotel where you will find a good range of snacks. In close proximity to a good size Carrefour. Breakfast is provided although we did not avail of it. There is a small gym that myself and my son used several times during our 6 night stay. Also a good sized pool which gets the sun at various angles all day. There are a few amazing restaurants nearby recommended by the hotel reception staff. The staff were multilingual speaking a number of languages & were always very helpful. Recommended restaurants were La Bonne Flannette where we had fantastic Canard Magret, Escargot & Fois grais. There s a wonderful husband & wife Team here. A second place that we also visited was Los Hermanos. The Rib Steak in the bone was superb and we also tried the Veaux & other dishes on a second night. Food was good value for money when compared to eating out n Dublin. The wine we tasted was amazing. We hope to return in the future.

The first four things a good hotel needs to provide are: a) Communication before you arrive b) A quiet room c) A comfortable bed d) A good shower. Everything after this is a bonus. The Jules Verne delivered with excellence these four, however on top of that the staff were very friendly and helpful. I needed their help on a few things and they willingly assisted. Some other bonus things - there is a good parking garage which is pre-bookable below the hotel. It is well located, about 10 minutes from the airport, but without any airplane noise to keep you awake. A walk into town and down to the beach is only 10 mins away. There is a Carre-Four supermarche in the next road which you can buy just about anything from. After breakfast is cleared away, the dining area makes a nice place to either work or relax. The whole Jules Verne theme to the hotel including various translations of his novels available makes for a good relaxed theme to the hotel. The swimming pool, although outdoors, is heated and warm enough for a swim even in May. The addition of a proper table and chairs to the pool area made for a good place for me to work as the sun was going down. The WiFi was of good quality and speed, with no dropouts and easy to connect to. If you are looking for a good hotel, and don't mind eating out for your evening meal, this is perfectly located and good place to reccommend.

Centrally located, 15 minutes from the airport on the 11 bus for a small fee. (Tip: retain travel card). Accommodation very comfortable / we had a superior double and an adjoining twin room for our family group. This was super for socialising. The hotel had a gym which we used on a few occasions, a swimming pool with umbrellas, cosy sun beds & tables. This area was a sun trap. The hotel was in very close proximity to a large supermarket called Carrefour which had almost anything you would require for snacks. There were a number of restaurants in close proximity. The reception staff were very courteous, spoke a number of languages. They recommended a few places to eat which we visited: La Bonne Flanquette - small menu facilitated by a husband & wife team. Food was amazing - highly recommend the Duck (Canard Margret to be eaten medium rare). Also Los Dos Hermanos (7 minutes walk) - superb. Amazing wines - must visits.

Very dog friendly. A doggie gift of ball and biscuits in our room to greet our dog was a lovely touch. Friendly staff. Very good location. 5 minutes walk to Central area. Nespresso machine and kettle in room plus a small fridge. Nicely themed room and room has a unique name. Plenty of places to eat in centre for breakfast etc.

Rooms were a tad small but not a problem if you are staying a few days.

Very nice and comfortable room. They seem recently renovated and the aesthetics are very pleasing.

There was nothing bad. Maybe the price could be a bit lower but overall there was nothing bad during our stay.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. I'd describe our rooms as compact but they were well laid out. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast (included in the price) was plentiful, of very good quality with lots of choice.

No obvious faults with the hotel. It is located out of the town so a fair walk to get to the main areas, and is uphill all the way back which may not suit some people. It is in a residential area so no shops or cafes close by. We only stayed one night, so none of this was a problem for us.

This hotel is in a nice quiet, easy to get to from airport - it's about 9 stops on the 36 bus going to "Cite" and stops at Guy Petit bus stop right outside hotel (make sure it is the Cite destination as the 36 also goes the other way, to Anglet! ) when you get to the Floquetb stop you can ring the bell as it's the next stop. The hotel is very nicely styled, and communal areas are clean and tidy and quite classy. The breakfast is excellent with selections of fruits, bread, meats, cheeses, croissants, cakes, and you can make fresh pancakes or boiled eggs. There is warm ham and scrambled eggs as well. Reception staff are excellent, friendly, helpful. The outside pool is great, kept at 26 degrees and sun loungers and parasols are very good quality. It's mostly grass garden around the pool. Reception will give you nice big towels too use at the pool, free of charge There a small gym that could easily keep the gyms fans going. The room was small but that was expected as it was clearly detailed - there's about 100cm space around the bed. Plenty of clothes storage storage and bathroom is very good. Bed is very big and comfortable. The whole place is very quiet. The only very slight mark down was for room cleaning. They operate a commendably sensible process where you have to put your door card out of you want it cleaned, otherwise they don't. That's great for saving wasted towel clean etc. We left it out every second day or so but, while they wiped bathroom area and changed the towels, they didn't restock the loo roll, coffee/milks or seem to clean much of the room (floor was still dusty). The other thing to know is the air con is controlled by reception so the box in room is redundant. They are helpful in changing the temperature up/down to your preference if you ask. Oh, and they'll give you more coffee sachets! The hotel is a ten minute walk down hill to town centre.

Suggestion to improve little details Bottle of water in the room must be Sealed (more hygienic) You’ll have a lot of fruits at the breakfast buffet, but I prefer fresh fruit and not fruits in the shirops . Fresh Fruit salad is more healthy. Parking. Bottom to open the door is not easy to find. Maybe better would be to to put a big sign on it.

Hotel is 10 minutes walking distance from Biarritz centre. Located in quiet part of the town. Front of house staff were excellent. Supermarket and bus stop for the airport outside the door. Room was perfect for our short stay. Breakfast available but we ate out in the city. Pool and seating area brilliant on hot days. Lots of games etc. for indoor entertainment. We loved the use of the Jules Verne theme throughout - this included headboard and available books.

We were perfectly happy with what the hotel offered for the price paid.

We booked this hotel last minute and it worked out surprisingly perfect. We were in the quiet season so the hotel was fairly empty. It has a good feel and is a little quirky with all the Jules Verne paraphernalia. Bathroom and room are quite small but comfortable. The onsite parking was really handy especially since there was an electric car charger which we could plug in overnight. It is an easy walk into town for dinner or to explore which we did often.
