Just 20-30 minutes from Heraklion, set in the hills of Crete, surrounded by ruins, vineyards & small towns, this wonderful villa is just completely special. From the warm welcome to the charming suite with view, to the lovely pool, easy parking, nice breakfast buffet & great service, we loved everything! We spent some time driving around the area to see the oldest olive tree, some special towns & the Palace of Knossos, which was pretty close. It was nice to be in the countryside.

Honestly, we would have loved it even more if it was adults only, especially the pool. But it is a very safe place for kids.

Absolutely fabulous! Everything was excellent. Chrisoula and Sofia are wonderful ladies - real blessings- smiling, helpful, kind and generous. They go above and beyond - giving advice/recommendations of things to do/see as well as providing an amazing and copious breakfast and ensuring the rooms are clean and comfortable. Wonderful view and within walking distance of both Katalagari village(5 minutes) with 3 places to eat and drink and also Archanes village which is 45/60 minutes walk with shops, tavernas, a winery etc. The pool is great too! Our family had a fantastic holiday- thank you to all the team and God bless x

Beautiful spacious apartment in a small village very close to Heraklion. You need a car to stay in this place. The breakfast is very good. For the rest Katalagari village has 3 very nice tavernes which you can reach by foot. A sweet small authentic village. Close by is the bigger village of Archanes but we found it a little challenging to go their by night if you take the small mountain roads, but ofcourse this is personal.

The parking place of the hotel is behind the hotel next to a olive field an annoying to reach.

The place is beautiful, the staff very sweet and attentive, breakfast has a great variety. The location is great - short drive to Heraklion, the museums and other sites, to the wine routes, some hiking trails, the tavernas in Katalagari are walking distance and the more busy but fun Archanes is a short drive away. Our suite was very spacious, the mattress great. Our suite was a bit dark - but good during hot summers. It was a great start of our Crete road trip!

Unfortunately, 5 years ago, a bigger road was built. It’s not super busy, but can be disturbing if you are looking for quiet hours by the pool.

Me and my friends spent a week in Katalagari Country Suites! We loved the whole atmosphere if the place, the easiness of how everything functions within this beautifully done complex with apartments and suites! The staff was top, absolutely amazing, we just loved everybody and they made you feel so at home! There was room cleaning every day and the cleanliness was perfect! There is a wonderful breakfast with variety of options, it is great for vegans as well! The pool area is great, the water is fresh and the hygiene is very high! During the day the restaurant of the complex is also open until certain time where you can order some food and drinks if you decided to have a day chilling around the pool and if you are not in a mood to explore around. The suits are nice too, they are equiped with most of the things you need for cooking, preparing coffee, you have a balcony or a patio where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains ahead. You will definetely need a car to be able to reach this amazing complex and to be able to travel to the closest towns and villages but there are different options for dining within the villages around as well as grocery stores. You can always chose to drive to Heraklion too which is just around 20 minutes away. We found it very easy to travel around and find places. The whole island of Crete is wonderful to be explored! I would highly recommend this accomodation and I would visit it again at some point in future.

Some of the beds were little bit uncomfortable, at least the ones that were in the commons area, they were also kind of small and short.

Breakfast, friendly staff, wonderful views, very quiet for a good night's sleep, lovely lush gardens with all kinds of flowers and fruit trees, easy walk to a nice restaurant in the village but would recommend driving to Archanes for more choice.

The handheld shower was a little annoying (especially if you're tall!) We didn't spend a lot of time at the pool but the noise from the road would make it not very relaxing if that's what you plan to do all day. Little tricky to drive in and out of if you're not a confident driver.

this is a perfect place if you are happy being a little way away from the centre of the beach-holiday atmosphere of Crete. in fact, it made the holiday more perfect because all the places we wanted to visit were a short drive away, and yet we came home each day to the most beautiful countryside hotel we could imagine. the tranquil setting and the pool time was wonderful for us and our kids. we had a self-catering unit that was perfect for our dietary needs. the staff were wonderful.

We have tears in our eyes, when we leave the hotel🙏🥹 they are very good people Swimming pool - comfortable Breakfast-enough everything and testy Room was enough place, have everything we need Location good(close to different beaches near Heraclion and the south side of the island) You should visit winery not far from the hotel (about 5 km)👍👍👍

My vacation was so short 🥹

We loved just everything about this place but mostly we want to say a big THANK YOU to the 3 wonderful ladies (Sofia, Grisoula and Iro) that went over and beyond to make our stay just fantastic! And that is besides the fact that Katalagari Suites is the nicest and most relaxing place you can imagine! Set not far from Heraklion (which also is a very nice and relaxing town) and set in a beautiful scenery, the place itself is well kept and clean. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need and a nice private terrace with great views. In the village of Katalagari on a short walking distance we found this lovely restaurant called Skalopatje where we were welcomed in a very friendly manner. And the food was just delicious!

Wounderful place in the mountains and very peaceful. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the views breathtaking. The restraunt by the pool has a good menu and the breakfast was fantastic. I originally planned to stay a few days and then move to different parts of the island but I was so confortable there I booked for the rest of my holiday.
