Me and my friends spent a week in Katalagari Country Suites! We loved the whole atmosphere if the place, the easiness of how everything functions within this beautifully done complex with apartments and suites! The staff was top, absolutely amazing, we just loved everybody and they made you feel so at home! There was room cleaning every day and the cleanliness was perfect! There is a wonderful breakfast with variety of options, it is great for vegans as well! The pool area is great, the water is fresh and the hygiene is very high! During the day the restaurant of the complex is also open until certain time where you can order some food and drinks if you decided to have a day chilling around the pool and if you are not in a mood to explore around. The suits are nice too, they are equiped with most of the things you need for cooking, preparing coffee, you have a balcony or a patio where you can enjoy the wonderful view of the mountains ahead. You will definetely need a car to be able to reach this amazing complex and to be able to travel to the closest towns and villages but there are different options for dining within the villages around as well as grocery stores. You can always chose to drive to Heraklion too which is just around 20 minutes away. We found it very easy to travel around and find places. The whole island of Crete is wonderful to be explored! I would highly recommend this accomodation and I would visit it again at some point in future.

Some of the beds were little bit uncomfortable, at least the ones that were in the commons area, they were also kind of small and short.

Breakfast, friendly staff, wonderful views, very quiet for a good night's sleep, lovely lush gardens with all kinds of flowers and fruit trees, easy walk to a nice restaurant in the village but would recommend driving to Archanes for more choice.

The handheld shower was a little annoying (especially if you're tall!) We didn't spend a lot of time at the pool but the noise from the road would make it not very relaxing if that's what you plan to do all day. Little tricky to drive in and out of if you're not a confident driver.

this is a perfect place if you are happy being a little way away from the centre of the beach-holiday atmosphere of Crete. in fact, it made the holiday more perfect because all the places we wanted to visit were a short drive away, and yet we came home each day to the most beautiful countryside hotel we could imagine. the tranquil setting and the pool time was wonderful for us and our kids. we had a self-catering unit that was perfect for our dietary needs. the staff were wonderful.

We loved just everything about this place but mostly we want to say a big THANK YOU to the 3 wonderful ladies (Sofia, Grisoula and Iro) that went over and beyond to make our stay just fantastic! And that is besides the fact that Katalagari Suites is the nicest and most relaxing place you can imagine! Set not far from Heraklion (which also is a very nice and relaxing town) and set in a beautiful scenery, the place itself is well kept and clean. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need and a nice private terrace with great views. In the village of Katalagari on a short walking distance we found this lovely restaurant called Skalopatje where we were welcomed in a very friendly manner. And the food was just delicious!

The location is amazing with breathtaking views, everything is clean the staff is very friendly. 25mins drive from Heraklion. Per total we enjoyed our stay, and will come back anytime. 🙂

The bathtub in our room was missing the bathtub stopper, and the AC unit needed a service. (Room 312). A good idea to the owner is to mount also mosquitoes nets to the windows. Breakfast also could be more diversified.

Wounderful place in the mountains and very peaceful. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the views breathtaking. The restraunt by the pool has a good menu and the breakfast was fantastic. I originally planned to stay a few days and then move to different parts of the island but I was so confortable there I booked for the rest of my holiday.

This is a wonderful and relaxing place. The structure and the room are very nice. The location is wonderful with the view on the wineries valley and 20 minutes from the Heraklion airport. From here you can easily go to everywhere in the Heraklion region (Knoss; Festum, Mallia; Matala;etc.) by car. The breakfast was great. People very friendly.

This was easily the best place I have stayed at in many years of travel. The staff are fantastic, the room nicely furnished, functional and very clean. I loved every day we spent there and wish I had booked a much longer stay. Should I come back to Crete I have no doubt that I would go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Katalagari! It was peaceful, very clean and comfortable and spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The village was small and with very few tourists. We enjoyed delicious dinners at the local restaurants. Great pool. The breeze was so pleasant we slept without airco in august.

Not a negative thing to mention!
