Gina and the team were the best thing about our stay. To be greeted like friends from the moment we arrived, the hospitality, the recommendation, we felt like it was a home away from a home. The room was clean and spacious, clearly updated recently to a very high standard. Air con was needed and worked easily. Coffee making facilities were perfect with decent coffee too! A working fridge with chilled water bottles topped up daily. The most comfortable bed with super pillows. The location...just wow!! I literally could talk about this place all day. What a gem right in the heart of the old town. Would 10000% recommend staying here.

Only downside was no pool/plunge but we knew this when booking.

We didn’t have a Seaview - we chose a room with bedding configuration that suited us so we missed out on that. It didn’t affect our stay though and we spent a lot of time admiring the view at the restaurants (which are very close and sooo many to chose from) would happily book the same room again when we come back next time

First, a huge thanks to Manos, Gina, Valeria and the lovely housekeepers for making our stay at Amphritite so special. From the brilliant recommendations for places to eat to the attention to detail in the quality, cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and the provision of beach towels and an umbrella for a day on the beach. Our room had a balcony with amazing views across the old Venetian harbour, not that we spent much time in it as we were too busy enjoying all the culinary delights that Chania has to offer. We didn't have a car as everything we needed for a relaxing week was within walking distance - a stone's throw from a wide range of eateries on the waterfront and a 20 minute stroll to Nea Chora beach.

Lovely hotel walkable to everything in chania. Staff was so generous with recommendations and taking care of all our needs. I can't imagine a better place to stay in chania!

We LOVED our stay at the Amphitrite Hotel. We splurged for the Harbor View room and are so glad we did. We spent many evenings enjoying the sunset and playing cards on the balcony. The staff was SO friendly and helpful and made some wonderful "off the beaten path" restaurant recommendations. The room wasn't huge but it had everything we needed. The owners accommodated a few requests of things that weren't in the room (like dishes) so we could have breakfast and make our own pour over coffee in the room. We absolutely recommend this hotel as a stand out in a city with many choices and hope we can return soon!

We stayed here our last 2 days on Crete. What can we tell you about this hotel, what other people didnt? Nice hotel? YES! Great location? YES! Comfortable? YES! Stunning view on the harbour & sunset? YES YES YES!!! but in our opinion what makes this hotel special are there people who worked there!! Starting with the owner (we are so sorry,but we forgot your name). So friendly, so polite, gave us recommendation for restaurant, we had a short and nice chat. Valeria: So friendly&helpful, she helped us when we arrived, told us everything we need to know, what to do. Gina, Gina, Gina,...what a beautiful soul you are!! So friendly, so helpful, always smiling. There english is also very very good. We would comeback just because of them. Thank you guys soo much!!

Can get a bit noisy, but at 10 in the morning, everyone is awake right?

The location is right on the old Venetian harbor, and some of the rooms have views. There is a terrace and a lounge where you can enjoy the view if you don't have a room facing the harbor. If you have a car, parking nearby can be a bit of a challenge, but there are several spots right in front of the hotel that are blocked off for guests. Just pull up and run inside and they will move the signs. Valeria the receptionist was wonderful, super helpful and full of recommendations for places to eat. She also loaned us a beach umbrella. The rooms are updated and the shower was really nice.

There aren't any rooms with two beds, so if you have 3 or 4 people in your party, you'll have to get two rooms.

Hospitality at its best! The staff are incredibly kind, smiling, and genuinely attentive; the best client service I’ve ever experienced. They go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Chania, close to everything. The sea view room is truly worth it, but the room with the private jacuzzi is also very pleasant and perfect for relaxing. There’s no breakfast or restaurant on site, but the staff gladly recommend the best places nearby. They also provide beach towels and umbrellas, which is a great extra touch. Excellent value for money. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you again for your outstanding kindness!

I travel a lot and I really can't stress this enough, the staff were next level. So generous with their time and recommendations for Chania. We were stressed about parking because we'd read it was difficult but we called around 30 minutes before arrival and the staff helped reserve a spot in the street then even moved our car another day. The room was great, we had a once in a lifetime view of the cultural square where locals were dancing and living.

There really wasn't anything, like I said in the positives - we were stressed about parking but the staff alleviated all of those concerns very quickly.

It was located in the main tourist area about 500 feet away from the entrance... The staff was super helpful and had plenty of ideas for the traveler's. They are in the process of upgrading to provide a breakfast so for now if you go about a block away there is a place that has pancakes and croissants and normal style American style food.. No bacon or sausage... But the food was wonderful. Gina the property manager was always available to help with any arrangements that need to be made. The views were wonderful from the balconies. I do suggest to get a room on the street side as it is quiet and the sun does not heat up the room like on the sea side... I would definitely stay here again. Location, location, location location

Parking.. But that is pretty much the same anywhere in a tourist area.
