From the warm, friendly reception from Katerina, to the beautiful room and central location this property is an absolute gem. Katerina arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and the driver was waiting for us and was very nice and informative. He knew exactly where to drop us off at the edge of the car-free old town closest to the property - a 1 minute walk away. Katerina greeted us, gave us an excellent map of her own design with town highlights and restaurant recommendations (for which she was spot on - we dined at Michalis twice!). The room is elegant, spacious, clean and comfortable - great bed, couch, wardrobe, coffee station, fridge and black-out curtains. The narrow lane outside is absolutely quiet at night, yet hosts a couple of restaurants and is only steps from the central square in Old Town. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the lane where we could enjoy coffee and our own breakfast. Wonderful spot!

From the location to the host - everything was exceptional.He helped us check in earlier, he let us change in a room that was not ours (because we arrived much earlier), he helped us with beach and restaurant recommendations. Besides that, I had daily cleanliness in the room - without exception. I have been to many locations, but this was a wonderful experience. We cannot express just how amazing our stay was at Viaggio Elegant Rooms. The team here are excellent and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. It is one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest place we have stayed. It is located in the heart of old town Chania, excellent location and on such a beautiful street. Attractive and nicely equipped rooms right in the centre of the old town. We arrived later than we anticipated and were greeted by a most welcoming and very attentive host. We stayed on the second floor in a spotless and very comfy room whose substantial double-glazed windows ensured that the vibrant acoustics of Chania's streets did not disturb us at night. Stayed for four nights - would happily recommend the property to anyone thinking of a trip to this amazing town.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a perfect base in Chania Old Town - and very comfortable all round ( immaculately clean and tidy, large comfortable bed, central location, pristine bathroom, everything we needed). Katerina is very experienced and professional, and there is a calm, kind and gentle atmosphere. We had the uppermost room with the balcony this time, and was lovely to have that outdoor space. We are happy to have discovered it, as we travel to Chania regularly.

We couldn't have dreamed of a better place for a trip for two. The facility is located in the most beautiful street we have seen in Crete, a few steps from the port of Chania. The host is very nice and helpful. We recommend a room with a balcony, the view is like from old movies, very atmospheric and with restaurant tables underneath. The room was very clean, all the furniture was new and cosy. Bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. At night you can hear life in the old town, but very gently, it is a very nice ambient for sleeping. I recommend it to all romantics and fans of atmospheric places! Can't wait to come back!

The location is unbeatable, the rooms were perfect, and the host the kindest of all I had. This is definitely a must stay when you visit Crete. I can’t imagine having stayed anywhere else for my time there and wouldn’t even consider staying elsewhere when I return- it’s that great.

The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the pillows- but they were exactly the same caliber as most hotel pillows. Expect a hotel pillow (too soft) and you should be good.

The accommodation was amazing, right in the center of Chania and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, beach etc. Katerina the host was so helpful and friendly and had great recommendations for places to eat and places to visit, we would definitely stay here again when we come back to Chania.

The Greeks are typically known for their outstanding credentials in hospitality and it’s fair to say that our host Katriana sits at the top of the tree in this respect.
