The main reason we chose this hotel was the view – and it did not disappoint! The view of the lighthouse is simply stunning. Overall, the apartment was nice: a separate bedroom, a living room, a kitchen with a stove if you want to cook something, and a rather small bathroom, though it wasn’t a big issue. Everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were good, although they were the same every day. The location is right in the city center, which means there are many cafés and bars nearby – this can be both a plus and a minus.

Since the apartment is in the center, there's a bar directly below that turns on loud bass music at 11 PM and keeps it going until 5 AM. If you're a light sleeper, this can be a real problem – earplugs are a must. Also, there are always a lot of people around.

Communication was good before arrival, and whenever we spoke with staff they were very accommodating. The apartment was a street behind the main harbour, which made it very central but we didn't have a lot of noise. The room was a good size, we didn't use the "sitting room" other than for storage. The Aircon was good, and my partner used the balcony alot to watch below. Good breakfast spread each morning. Lots of lighting in the bedroom, and sockets.

Although they changed our bed and towels each day, which wasn't necessary, we didn't receive any more coffee or water so had to purchase additional. The shower was missing a screen so the floor would get very wet, as the shower head needed changing really. It was either on full or off and wasn't easily moved around on the wall. The bathroom drains were quite smelly, of old wee, all the time but I think this is normal?

Great location, excellent staff, Eleftheria at check in was exceptional, used WhatsApp to communicate and no problem with late checkin. Spotless room, balcony with view of snowcapped mountains. Old world feel to the building, everything in rooms modern, excellent design and paintings. AC excellent! Lots of great food options close by, near the Venetian harbour.

Outstanding view over the harbour. Nice high ceilings and natural light. Breakfast was also good.

The bathroom is quite small but it's new and serves it's purpose well. It can be a little noisy from the bars outside, but one can expect that when staying in the centre. It didn't actually bother me and I could sleep really well.

The hotel is located in a slightly different place to where you collect the keys, but was easy enough to find. The room was on the second floor, the views were nice (not facing the marina). The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The shower was possibly the most powerful shower I've ever seen! I thought it would take off to space when I turned it on.

Has some minor decor imperfections but nothing to complain about.

The location is perfect. We had an apartment with the street view. But the house has a roof, where you can go and enjoy the sea and sunset views. The kitchen had everything even coffee tablets.

If you have big suitcases and not very healthy knees, the apartments are on the 3rd floor and no elevator. We had just hand luggage and no problem.

Perfect location and beautiful view. Being a part of the port was incredible. The staff was so gentle and helpful.

It is a nice apartment for 2 but if you book for 3 people the bed in the sofa is a huge problem. It is impossible to sleep on it cause you feel the metal pieces of the canepe. But the staff is very kind and they tried to find s solution. Better to stay there as 2 people not 3. The stairs are so high and no evlevator. If you have a big lugage it can be a real headache.

You’ll walk up 50 marble steps; elevators are forbidden in Old Town. You’ll have trouble finding taxis; streets are pedestrian-only. You’ll talk with Reception by phone and email. Your reward will be one of the most magical balconies in Greece, at the top of Chania’s Old Venetian Harbor. We booked the 4th floor One-Bedroom Suite at the Elia Estia Erato building of Elia Hotels and loved every minute. Elia Hotels Group has renovated historic buildings around Chania into over 20 boutique hotels and apartments. It’s not the Ritz, but you can get that in the US. In Greece, the glitches are worth it to experience Chania up close. Old Venetian Harbor doesn’t just glitter like a storybook–it is a storybook, better and with more history than anything Disney imagined. Our Elia Estia balcony had a panoramic view of colorful baroque buildings, dramatic fortresses, an historic mosque and the medieval lighthouse–all reflecting in the harbor at sunset and at night like a vision. Below us around the harbor were two dozen delicious seaside restaurants all lit up, and a colorful stream of visitors perfect for people watching. In walking distance were huge 16th century monuments to explore and beaches with even more great restaurants. Mr. Antonis Yiakoumakis, Ms. Despina Liakou, and Ms. Maria at Elia Zampeliou Hotel Reception a few streets away (which was our Reception Desk) helped us so much! They showed why Crete is famous for hospitality–even when coping with historic buildings. When I needed smaller bills, Mr. Yiakoumakis personally took me and my 50 Euro bill door to door among local tavernas as waiters whizzed by with heavy trays, until we found a cashier with change. The ambiance was superb, the local food is fantastic, and most important, the people are wonderful. When the city tore up a nearby street, Ms. Despina escorted us to and from our building. I want to go back and take them all out for lunch!

Historic buildings don’t have a lot of furniture. There were no drawers for clothing. They also lacked luggage stands or any place to put modern clam-shell luggage. But when we needed an extra chair as a luggage stand, they somehow got an extra large table up 3 flights of stairs instead. When we asked for a few extra towels, we got a weeks’ worth. Need something? Just ask! :)

The property is in a quiet but central location in this beautiful city, very close to the harbour. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we slept really well. The shower is really powerful with loads of hot water. I thoroughly recommend this hotel!

The only issue may be for those who find it difficult to climb stairs. We were in room 2 on the second floor, and there were two quite long staircases to climb.
