Everything about the property was wonderful. Check-in was a breeze. Katarina was incredibly responsive throughout our time. We lost our key one day and she went out of her way to make sure another key was waiting for us as soon as we needed it. Hotel staff was also incredibly attentive to every detail. Cannot recommend this place enough. We opted for the breakfast included and I highly recommend. It’s a one minute walk from the venue overlooking the marina. A very easy way to start the morning without any effort.

Nothing not to like about this property.

From start to finish we enjoyed our stay in this exceptional two-level rooftop apartment with an extremely helpful, intelligent, communicative host, Katerina. Interior is very stylish and modern with all amenities, including an unobtrusive kitchen and washing machine. The roof terrace offers a 360 view of the mountains, sea and harbour but the jacuzzi makes it extra special. Could not recommend enough.

Hardly anything! The air conditioning unit is a little noisy outside the bedroom door and steps up to the terrace but its positioning means you have an uncluttered view after going up a few steps to the roof. The safe would be difficult to access for those with mobility issues but its in a very secure place as a result.

The hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Chania old town, bars and restaurants. Katerina on reception was exceptionally helpful, friendly and welcoming. She helped us booked tours to Balos/Elafanisi with repubatable and reliable companies, as well as recommended good restaurants. The room was spacious, bright and airy with good air con and great wifi. Very clean bathroom with a good shower and a nice big bed. We would definitely book here again!

We loved our sweet room. It was clean and comfortable. There were treats and water waiting for us when we arrived. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. We liked the spiral staircase going up to the bedroom. Our hotel was perfectly located in wonderful, lively Chania for our plans to be near the water, restaurants, shopping, and transportation to other sites, like Elofinissi. When the tide was low, we could swim in the beach right near us. And maybe the most important thing is that our host, Katerina was wonderful. We arrived late at night and she left perfect instructions for us, and kept in touch with us, and answered all our calls. When we returned from the trip, I realized I had lost a personal item, and she tried to help me with it. Definitely recommend!

There was nothing we didn’t like. For a person who has a hard time walking upstairs, it might be a little hard.

Hotel Fortino has the perfect location in old town Chania: near the waterfront, a few blocks away from the main streets of old town, and there's good street food nearby. Plus, it's just a short walk to the free parking lot. The rooms themselves are clean, pleasantly furnished, and have a cozy loft feel to them. The kitchenette is minimal, but with such excellent dining options all around us it wasn't a problem at all. What really sets Hotel Fortino apart though, is the host Katerina. She’s incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about her guests. She was always available to make sure that everything was right. She is a fantastic host!

What a gem of a surprise this hotel was! Katarina, on the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked; the bathroom was the nicest we had on our trip. It was so nice to be able to make coffee in the room and also have a little patio to sit outside on. The breakfast included was at an amazing restaurant in the Chania Sailing Club, a 2 minute walk from the hotel and the portions were massive! The location of the hotel was perfect as we could walk right to the waterfront area of Chania in 2 minutes.

Just be aware if you have a bedroom upstairs, the stairs can be steep to climb.

Really special accomodation in an old Venetian Palace, with very unique atmospehere. Katherina is amazing, she has an answer for everything. We enjoyed staying there with the long nice breakfasts on the terrace in the shadow of the lemon tree.

We thought the jacuzzi is available for all hotel guests, but it is part of an apartment. I guess it was our fault, that we checked the site with a lack of attention.

The room was fine, large, and clean. It met expectations 100%. But the terrace with the jacuzzi... that exceeded expectations 200%. The photos don't show how beautiful it is there. On one side, the sea; on the other side, beautiful mountains. The perfect view for a sunset, and although a bit less impressive, still beautiful for a sunrise. Even though the hotel is quite close to a busy street and a pizzeria (which I also recommend), it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel collaborates with a delicious breakfast spot that is a 3-minute walk away, and you get a 15% discount there

It's not the hotel's fault, but it's quite far from a beach where you can swim. According to Google Maps, there is a beach called "Koum Kapi," but it's flooded. We had to go to "Nea Chora," which was about a 25-30 minute walk. Fortunately, you can buy takeaway drinks next to the hotel, which made the walk more enjoyable.

Katerina was a wonderful, positive and helpful host. The apartment was well-equipped and even had a separate desk to work at! It felt large given the mezzanine bedroom.

Although we couldn’t hear other guests in their rooms, we could hear very loudly people walking on the staircase in the hallway. I think this was because our specific mezzanine bed was above the staircase.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel. Our room was amazing and had fantastic air conditioning. It was open and bright. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Chania the location was so central with many restaurants and cafes around! Couldn’t recommend more! Most importantly Katerina was amazing, she was unbelievably kind and full of information. She went out of her way to make us feel so welcome and she gave us any extra information we needed! We would come back in a heartbeat.
