GORGEOUS boutique hotel in the perfect location. 10 minute walk from Old Town Port so it's still nice and quiet with plenty of parking. The hotel owner greeted us himself and gave us some great recommendations for the area. Breakfast is at a nearby restaurant and the quality is incredible plus it feels like a true dining experience. Our favorite hotel we stayed in in all of Crete. Can't recommend enough.

Great location to walk into the harbor and Old Town. Rooms were clean and lovely. The owner and receptionist are extremely kind and helpful.

Breakfast location could have been closer, but it is still a great view and nice food.

It was spacious and lots of storage space. Air conditioning was good (very important in such hot temperatures) Towels were good quality

The photo of my room type in your website depicted front and side sea views but in reality, there was only a side limited view of the sea and mostly the window was facing the building next to it. In other hotels, this type of room will be referred to as “limited sea view” and not “sea view”.

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome thanks to Anna. She had already been wonderfully helpful over email before our trip, and in person, she was just as kind—always ready to answer our questions and share great tips about the local area. Anna even went the extra mile by arranging cakes and balloons in our room for Alex’s birthday—a thoughtful surprise that completely made his day. We also had the pleasure of meeting Spiros, the owner, who was equally attentive. He was always just a quick WhatsApp message away with helpful answers and excellent recommendations. The hotel itself was spotless and well-kept, and its location was perfect for us—just a short walk to the sea, as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. A truly welcoming stay from start to finish.

It’s hard to find anything to fault with the hotel. The only small surprise was that breakfast is served at a separate location about a 10-minute walk away, which we hadn’t realised beforehand. To be totally honest, the menu there was quite limited, and the breakfast itself didn’t quite live up to the rest of our stay. We also thought it would have been lovely to have a couple of chairs and a small table on the balcony so we could sit outside and enjoy the view. That said, these were only minor points in what was otherwise a fantastic stay, and they certainly wouldn’t stop us from returning in the future.

Perfect location where we could see the sunset, historical monument and the coast. The staff needs to be mentioned as well because we have never met such hospitality and friendly people! The rooms are very high standard and meets all expectations.

Whether it was the comfortable rooms, clean, is located in a nice place next to the beach, very easy to find, every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay. It truly exceeded my expectations!

Prime location, great view, very clean, stylish, cozy, spacious room.

The room has a beautiful view of the public beach (located just next to the hotel) and the hotel is located right at the edge of old town. Extremely convenient to explore by foot. The room is spacious, very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy too as there is a huge open space next to the hotel with free parking. Anna and Spiros (owner of the hotel) were excellent hosts. They were very warm and approachable and took the time to recommended beaches and restaurants to check out. When we left the hotel, we forgot to bring our passports along. Spiros was very proactive, he contacted me via WhatsApp and assured me that he was working with a courier to get the documents back to us as soon as possible (we recieved them the very next day at Heraklion). All in all our experience with Theta Hotel has been great and very memorable! :)

Location, bathroom, and bed

This property is an amazing place to stay! Anna and Spiro are fantastic owners who will make sure that you have anything you need. Thanks to Anna and Spiro our stay was great and very comfortable. The hotel is very clean, even we had an extreme situation with the sand storm, they were working so hard trying to keep the place spotless. Rooms are very nice and specious. The location is fantastic, couple minutes to the port and marina. We had a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. The hotel is located on a very short distance to the nice restaurants and the boutiques but at the same time it stays in a very calm area. There’s no breakfast at the hotel but just around the corner you have few restaurants with a great coffee and delicious food. In the front of the hotel is a large free parking or you can leave your car on the street. Not far from Chania you can visit Ancient Olive Tree in Vouves, highly recommended. I would recommend this place to everyone!
