The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a safe, a hairdryer, a nice bathroom and enough space for everything. The location was good with free parking available and some restaurants around. If you don't have a car it might be a bit remote though. What we really liked was the breakfest. Overall it is a good place to stay in Reykjavik.

One night the water wasn't consistently warm. And a few things in the room where broken, like the door stopper, one light button, one curtain and there where some painting on the wall (like from a child painting with a pen on it).

Hotel is very well located if you are coming by car-you’ll need just 10mins to the center of Reykjavik. Very calm environment, very clean hotel with very nice and friendly staff.

Although breakfast was decent, we were a bit disappointed that guests were asked to clean behind them, otherwise-additional charges would be applied. We were happy to clean, but considering the fact that breakfast service around the world doesn’t include only providing food, but also the service of person(s) taking care of plates, cuttlery, cleaning etc-you wonder a bit did you pay extra breakfast fee for an egg and piece of bread.

We had a very comfortable one-night stay at 201 Hotel. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed—TV, heating, a spacious bathroom, and a cozy bed. The city view from our room was a nice touch, and the hotel was quiet and peaceful throughout the night. One of the highlights was the included breakfast. It had a good variety of options—fresh bread, cereals, fruit, meats, cheeses, and hot beverages—perfect to start the day before heading out to explore Reykjavík. Overall, a great stay with good value and amenities. Would definitely recommend it for travelers looking for a reliable and clean hotel with breakfast included.

The hotel was a good choice for a short stay during our stopover. There was plenty of free parking. We were greeted right away for check in. The room was large and suited our needs. There was a bookshelf with cubbies to store belongings, which was helpful. Drinks were available for purchase at the check in desk. Breakfast was hosted in a large upper floor room and provided a lot of food options. Breakfast was well attended by a number of guests and hotel staff were prompt at cleaning tables.

Room could use a refresh of paint and/or wallpaper. There were no vending machines but you could buy chips/crisps at the front desk. We were hungry after enjoying the midnight sun, but not a lot of food options at the hotel.

Free parking, we hired a car and it was a great location, close to Reykjavik but also close to main roads to other places. Lovely big room and great breakfast.

The only downside was on our last day which was a Friday. There was only one person working at breakfast and he worked so hard, but couldn’t keep up with the demand and we waited a long time for plates and then food was slow to be replenished so it took us double the amount of normal time to have breakfast which impacted our day.

I recently stayed at Hotel 201 in Reykjavik and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located, offering easy access to the city's attractions, and the facilities were good. One feature I particularly appreciated was the charging point for electric vehicles, which made our travels around Reykjavik more convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a hot water outage during our visit (which was not the hotel's fault), so after 10 pm, only cold water was available in the rooms. However, the hotel handled this situation well by informing us via email before our arrival and offering access to a nearby gym with hot water showers. While this was an unexpected inconvenience, the hotel's proactive communication and alternative solution were much appreciated. The breakfast was standard with limited options, but it was still good enough to start the day. While there could have been more variety, the quality was satisfactory. Overall, despite the hot water issue, I would recommend Hotel 201 for its convenient location, friendly service, and decent facilities.

This was a clean and comfortable hotel, the breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate us arriving early which was wonderful as we had traveled overnight with no sleep.

I booked this particular hotel because it came up when I had airport transfer selected. It is not a direct transfer, rather you get the flybus to downtown Reykjavik at your own cost and then a shuttle to the hotel. We opted for a (very expensive) taxi as we were 3 tired people. I would still stay here again despite that misunderstanding on my part.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful when we checked in. The room itself was spacious and clean. Nice selection of continental breakfast included in the morning. We chose this hotel due to its close and easy proximity for a morning flight home.

Whilst the bathroom was clean, there was a smell that appeared to come from the drain in the shower. Once we had used the shower and drained fresh water, the smell seemed to dissipate. The car park out the front of the hotel was very busy. Luckily staying at the weekend we parked in front of the office block next to the hotel. I’m not sure if that would be an option during the week.

The staff were very helpful and let us check in earlier than check in time. The room was very clean and large which was perfect for a family. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options to choose from. The coffee machine was most appreciated! Location was a short walk to a large shopping centre and you can catch the public bus straight into the main sights from there. The bus took about 25 minutes. Parking was free and plenty available right out the front of the hotel.

Just a minor thing but there were no coffee cups or coffee or tea in the rooms.

Walkable distance to shops, stores etc. (Bus stop close by to get to city center/Reykjavik). Excellent accomodations Clean, cozy & comfortable Common areas are large & inviting for guests to mingle The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, well-versed in multiple languages Rooms are perfect for solo travelers like me who just need essentials. Breakfast included! I LOVED their bedding, shampoo & conditioner so much I ordered it when I got home!
